How Do You Solve a Problem Like Milo?
Washington Free Beacon, by Joseph Bottum

Last February, after a political riot on the Berkeley campus, Tucker Carlson conducted a telephone interview with Milo Yiannopoulos, the object of the rioters´ anger. Fires set, windows smashed, and at least two people pepper-sprayed by the protesters. And it was in that Carlson interview, at what seems to have been the absolute peak of the Fabulous Milo Phenomenon, that the 32-year-old British immigrant described the night at Berkeley as "a bit rowdy." It was an interesting turn of phrase for a man who deliberately describes himself as a provocateur. More often than not, when the British turn to irony, they

This review sounds a little petty and Buttum sounds like he jealous because Milo is getting attention.

The irony is Milo gets attention because so many conservatives are sheep who are afraid to take the fight to the street.

There are aspects to the gay personality that are sometimes borderline crazy but effective. This guy Milo, as much as I detest gays, has proved he can think on his feet better than I´ve seen before. See him handle cnbc rapid fire questions---https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgl53EXInPc

Milo is a "cute" guy who is merely a waste of talent. He is, for lack of a better term, not all there most of the time. He seems to me to be incapable of sitting down and exercising with concentration his many God given talents. I find it funny that Winston Churchill had many of the same traits in his personality. It´s a problem that plagues many free thinkers. It´s caused by a racing mind, a high intellect and boundless energy.

Why do I say Milo is a "waste of talent"? Because his potential is astounding and he takes it so for granted and ends up merely pi55ing most of it away. Perhaps he needs to go away on an "Extended sabbatical" - Such talent is like fine wine. It get´s better as it matures.

Milo can be a huge jerk, but the reaction to him by the left is way overwrought. And it´s only due to his being gay and liberty-minded/anti-SJW. He´s off the plantation.

But, he´s a difficult ally in that he´s a loose cannon. Not everything he espouses is going to fit with conservatives. And the way he attacks people can be cruel, so it´s hard to stand there and say he´s a "great guy" and people should stop being mean to him. He brings a lot of that on himself and not only because he´s a rebel in his identity group.

Five New Yorkers in wheelchairs are behind nearly 400 lawsuits brought against small businesses for lacking handicap access. Such legal claims have been criticized as part of a “cottage industry” of “serial plaintiffs” who target mom-and-pop establishments for quick cash settlements. But others see the suits as helping enforce the American with Disabilities Act. Wheelchair ramps and bathroom doors are not the only battleground. Two blind New Yorkers have taken the fight online, filing a combined 23 suits against business Web sites that didn’t have screen-reading software for the visually impaired. And a woman cited seven businesses for not allowing

Wimpy strikes again. Everybody knows the Wimpy proposition: “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.” In the old Popeye cartoons, no sensible person gave Wimpy a hamburger in exchange for his promised future payment. During last year’s campaign, The New York Times justified its biased coverage of Donald Trump by saying he was the “abnormal” candidate while Hillary Clinton was the “normal” one. Oh, what a difference a year makes. Now it’s President Trump who is doing bipartisan deals with congress and trying to rally the world against North Korea while Clinton is embarrassing herself and her party with a sore-loser blame game. It’s time to reverse the normal and abnormal labels. The remarkable contrast between the 2016 foes these days is more vindication of the outcome, and helps explain why he won and

ST. LOUIS -- Protests turned violent for second night near St. Louis following the acquittal of a white former police officer in the fatal shooting of a black man, as a small group of demonstrators refused to disperse, breaking windows at dozens of businesses and throwing objects at police, who moved in with hundreds of officers in riot gear to make arrests. The confrontation took place late Saturday night in the Delmar Loop area of University City, a suburb about 10 miles (16 kilometers) west of St. Louis near Washington University. The area is known for concert venues, restaurants, shops and

Sen. John McCain is adding his buddy Sen. Lindsey Graham to the list of possible reasons why his line of questioning to former FBI Director James Comey during a hearing in June was so disjointed and confusing. McCain notably was mocked on social media over his questions, which appeared to befuddle even Comey. The senator issued a statement at the time, pinning blame on staying up late to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks game. McCain was also diagnosed with brain cancer weeks later. But as McCain, R-Ariz., would tell it now, he had a list of questions he was ready to

Build that wall! Eventually. Or at least patch up some existing fencing. If Chuck and Nancy will agree. Donald Trump’s signature pledge to build a border wall, a.k.a The Wall, is diminishing almost by the hour. No battle plan survives contact with the enemy, said Helmuth von Moltke the Elder, the 19th-century German field marshal. He left no record of his view of what happens when an emotive slogan dressed up as a policy proposal comes into contact with the enemy, but we can assume that he didn’t think it would fare well. It hasn’t. Trump is paying the price

ObamaCare falsely promised Americans they could keep their health plans, but what Democrats really had in mind is now clear: They want everyone to lose their insurance and take what government gives them instead. That’s obvious from Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All scheme, rolled out Wednesday with the support of the party’s chief 2020 presidential hopefuls. ObamaCare kicked some 7 million people off their plans. But Bernie’s bill would outlaw both employer-paid health care and private insurance for individuals. That is, more than half the country — 180 million people — would have to say good-bye to their current plans (which they’re

With Republican efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare all but dead, Democrats appear to be ready to double down on plans for a government takeover of the American health-care system. This week, Sen. Bernie Sanders introduced legislation calling for “Medicare for All,” a single-payer system that would put government firmly in charge. His proposal was backed by 17 senators — one-third of the Democratic caucus — including New York’s Kirsten Gillibrand. Bernie’s plan is long on promises, with benefits far more generous than current Medicare, including dental and vision care. In fact, the benefits would be more generous than almost

While promoting her newly released memoir, Hillary Clinton has placed blame on several factors for her loss to Donald Trump last November — from her own mistakes, to Russian interference in the U.S. election, and the late intervention by then-FBI director James Comey. But Clinton has also spoken candidly about how deep-rooted sexism played a hand in her defeat, and about the double standards she faced as the first woman nominated by a major party for president in America’s 240-year history. In an interview with the New York Times published Saturday, Clinton spoke further about how misogyny is used as

Almost no commentator, no reviewer, has mentioned the most newsworthy fact about Hillary Clinton´s latest memoir—which is the near total lack of anything actually newsworthy in the book. With What Happened, Clinton would at last "let down her hair," Simon & Schuster´s publicists loudly proclaimed before the book´s publication. And that was the line dutifully repeated by reporter after reporter, as though it were a fact. As though, coming from Clinton´s people, it didn´t need to be checked or reported with even the slight distancing of "Hillary Clinton says she´s let down her hair in her new book." But then,

People who claim to be shocked that Donald Trump is prepared to make an amnesty deal for the"Dreamers" -- most of whom are Mexicans who entered the USA at around the age of six -- are being more than a tad disingenuous. The president has been hinting as much for over a year to anyone paying attention. In fact, it´s hard to conceive how he could have done otherwise, considering the (excuse the cliché) "optics" of shipping 800,000 young people back to a homeland they may never have seen. The silent coup has apparently succeeded. President Trump has been convinced to abandon his revolutionary program of putting “America First,” and has decided to play footsy with globalists like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. There have been signs since before Trump took office that he was not dedicated to accomplishing the goals he promised—whether that was building the wall, repealing Obamacare, cutting off funding for Planned Parenthood, lowering taxes, leaving NAFTA, or many more.[SNIP]The final nail in Trump’s and America’s coffin may be his decision to become the stepfather to President Obama’s illegal executive order establishing Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals.
