Cross in Pensacola park must come down,
violates Constitution federal judge rules

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Atheists across the fruited plain are rejoicing after a federal judge declared Monday that a cross erected in a Florida park violated the law and must come down. “I am aware that there is a lot of support in Pensacola to keep the cross as is, and I understand and I understand and respect that point of view,” U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson wrote in his ruling. “But, the law is the law.” The lawsuit was filed in 2016 by the notorious Freedom From Religion Foundation and the American Humanist Association on behalf of four Pensacola citizens. Passing a law forcing the names of the complainants to be made public in cases like this might stop a lot of it. The atheists hide behind their anonymity.

FTA: [The judge] also ordered the city to pay the aggrieved plaintiffs one dollar in damages. That comes out to a quarter apiece.

So 4 people were offended. Good grief!

God forgive me but my ruling would have been to take the cross and beat the Freedom from Religion jerks repeatedly on their heads until they become sane and sensible...Damn heathens! And then lock that judge up with some REAL bad guys for a few days!

Clearly the judge has a lot of respect for a lot of things. Sadly he does not know or respect the Law of the Land, i.e., The Constitution.

my solution is to have a MARCH through the park, EVERY DAY, by a thousand AMERICANS..

each holding, alternatively, a CROSS and a CONFEDERATE FLAG..
for the next two years.. wait four years..
better - until all communist judges are thrown out of office..

There are public libraries all over America with books containing information about religions. Some even contain illustrations of religous art.

I suppose a purge would satisfy some athiests but razing the librarys would better emphasize how seriously the crisis is.

Then there are place names. e.g. What is to be done about ´Saint Louis´? Or nearly everywhere in California?

Yet another strong example of the need, the crying need, for Term Limits for ALL federal employees. Judges, congresscritters, Presidents, agency heads, even the janitorial and clerical staffs. Every one of them.
This louse has been on the bench since the Autumn of 1983! More than 33 years!
FIRE the louse! and FIRE the nitwits-in-black-robes who, daily, rewrite the Constitution and the laws of the land to fit their own personal whims and preferences.
How the sensible Constitutional prohibition that says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" may be confused with a structure in a park, is proof positive that the rarefied air in judicial chambers rots the brain. What would these arrogant louts do if they observed religious services being held, weekly, in the US Capital building, as was once a normal thing? And if it was Constitutional then, it would be Constitutional now: the DOCUMENT has not changed.
FIRE the bum!

The atheists have been battling to remove the Mount Soledad cross from the San Diego area since 1989. They won the court cases and the Supreme Court refused to take the appeal. Although the cross is considered “illegal” it still stands.

BTW – The open borders folks (Marxists all) ask, “How can a person be illegal?” I have to ask, “How can a religious symbol be illegal in a country with religious freedom?

What kind of idiot is this judge? The amendment says that the government cannot set up a national religion such as what England did, not that we cannot have a cross in our parks if we want it.
Having a cross in a park is not a religion, it is simply recognizing religion in the local populace.

That the atheists are attacking Christians yet again is no surprise. The law is indeed the law, and the idiot judge ignored it completely. Sharia Law is a prime example of violation of the First Amendment.

This is also the judge that may have given Obama his FISA orders he needed to spy on us.

He´s wrong. The Constitution does not support this outcome. The Constitution was a contract whereby the states, who held all the power, agreed to transfer some, a very limited amount of their power, that which was enumerated in this contract, to the federal government. This would have been unconscionable act to the drafters of the contract. The Constitution says that the federal government cannot establish a religion. In these cases the judges all miss the point that Christianity was established long before the federal government came along. Thus, the federal government cannot establish the religion of Christianity because it had already been established. However, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits the enjoyment of something the people have erected on site.
These judges need to start working for this great country not against it. They know what the Constitution stands for, they are just inserting their views - they are gods you know.
