Following the acquittal of a police officer charged in the death of Philando Castile in Minnesota, there’s definitely been a renewed conversation in America about police brutality and the justice system. After nearly a week of deliberations, the jury found Jeronimo Yanez not guilty of all counts in the July 2016 shooting of Castile. The shooting took place in a suburb of St. Paul and was caught on video. Yanez’s acquittal was met with strong condemnation from protesters around the United States. As a man who led a national anthem protest this past NFL season, free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick took to

Colin, were you anywhere else in the world you would be ignored and in a cheap ass job, or you´d be dead.

No one puts up with a loser who doesn´t appreciate the opportunities given him.

No country lacks problems, but no country, as you describe this one, would ever let you near the prestige and value of an NFL contract. Maybe you should re-evaluate your life and who you get your propaganda from?

Look at Chicago. The same people who are telling you this country sucks, are standing aside and letting blacks murder blacks because they don´t want the ´Racist´ meme, which they invented to be attached to them. Libs stand aside and let people die.

If a Pubbie got in there and enforced the law, you´re among the first screaming "police brutality".

You are sick, Colin. Truly sick.

As is true 99% of the time, the cop did NOTHING wrong in this shooting!!!

I am just thankful that the cop wasn´t white. Imagine the riots and millions of dollars in destruction if he had been...

Racist airheads like Colon WANT there to be white racism.

But unfortunately for Colon - - there´s the rule of law - - with jury trials based on evidence - - and that´s where their white racist bubble vanishes into thin air.

Poor Colon - - things just aren´t working out very well for racist airheads these days.

I´d like to see Kaepernick choose to live in a community where the police department had been dismantled. I´d like to see liberal leaders take responsibility for the spikes in violent crime in multiple American inner cities since the Democrats´ war on police officers began, and the gangs and drug dealers became emboldened making the lives of inner city residents even more plagued with violence than previously. I´d like to know who the law abiding citizens in our inner cities are supposed to call in case of an emergency. Like all liberals Kaepernick talks and talks and never looks back at consequences and never accepts responsibility.

So, a jury of 12 citizens, the police officer´s peers, found him not guilty. Colin, your rage should be towards those 12 non biased people do their job. Their constitutional job at that. Society didn´t condone the shooting. Society brought charges and in accordance with the accused constitutional right, he was given a fair trial. Rage against the Constitution, not the acquitted. Oh, but that is what you are doing via a surrogate. And that is one reason people are upset cause the system, though imperfect, has for the most part worked well

What a particularly ignorant and arrogant piece of work. So the marketplace has adjudicated his worth; The NFL considers him PR poison.
But he was just exercising free, if ignorant, speech. Contrary, if often ugly, speech is what free speech is all about. The real problem was how 49er and NFL management dealt with him and his behavior. They blew it. As consequence, as a lifelong week by week NFL fan, without really planning it, I found myself just not that interested anymore, save for the last round of playoffs and the Super Bowl.
Heckuva job there, NFL.

ATLANTA — Referring to the crowd of progressive conference-goers as President Trump´s "worst nightmare," Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., tore into members of her own party who believe Democrats should move toward the center in a fiery speech at Netroots Nation. In the Saturday morning keynote, Warren singled out a July op-ed in the New York Times written by Mark Penn and Andrew Stein titled "Back to the Center, Democrats." The headline itself was enough to draw a loud chorus of boos from the audience. "It was all about how we have to stop caring about ´identity politics´ and how we

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, Mass.—Jamaicans and other foreign workers have long powered the summer economy in the upscale tourist haven of Martha’s Vineyard, cleaning hotel rooms, waiting tables and mixing fudge. This year, many local businesses had to come up with a Plan B. Facing a shortage of foreign laborers, local restaurants have reduced hours of operation and pared back menus. Managers are cleaning hotel rooms, laundry is piling up and at least one restaurant is using disposable cups to ease the dishwashers’ load. The problem is a scarcity of the H-2B visas used to bring foreign seasonal workers to the U.S.

In many quarters of the American news media today, seasoned journalists seem incapable of pondering those parts of reality that don’t complement their political worldviews. It goes beyond “bias”—we’re all biased. This is negligence. Consider the trove of emails between FBI and Department of Justice officials published this week. The emails concern the June 27, 2016, meeting between former president Bill Clinton and then-attorney general Loretta Lynch. As readers may remember, Clinton paid an apparently impromptu visit to the attorney general aboard her DoJ plane while it was parked at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport. It was extremely improper for the two

Col. David “Wil” Riggins, after a highly decorated Army career that included multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, was on the verge of promotion to brigadier general in July 2013 when he got a phone call at the Pentagon from the Army’s Criminal Investigative Division to come in for a meeting. Once there, he learned that a blogger in Washington state had just accused him of raping her, when both were cadets at West Point in 1986. An investigation was underway. Riggins waived his right to an attorney and immediately gave a statement denying any sexual assault of the woman, Susan

Democratic representative Keith Ellison said Friday that he believes Neil Gorsuch is an “illegitimate” Supreme Court justice. Speaking on a panel at Netroots Nation, a conference for progressives in Georgia, Ellison accused Republicans and Trump of assaulting the United States’ representative democracy and the independence of the judiciary. “I said the other day that I thought that Neil Gorsuch was an illegitimate justice,” Ellison asserted. “I had a great progressive come up to me and say, ‘Oh don’t say that, that’s what they say.´” “I said,’No, wait a minute. This guy escaped every rule that you’re supposed to go through

HAMPTON, Iowa — It was quitting time. Edith Rivera took one last lunch order, dropped off a basket of tortilla chips and set off from work, heading out to the farm roads where other immigrants feared to drive. Like them, Ms. Rivera, 33, had no legal status in the country where she had lived for 18 years. She had no driver’s license, apart from the long-expired North Carolina identification she held safe, like a talisman, in her wallet. But as she skimmed past the northern Iowa cornfields on her way to her son Steven’s seventh-grade track meet, she did not

Have you heard about the Google memo? Have you heard nothing but "Google memo" all week? James Damore, an engineer at Google, wrote a memo suggesting that maybe there weren’t so many women at Google because women are less interested in sitting around and staring at code all day. The internet erupted. James Damore is no longer working at Google. As a woman working in the brotastic atmosphere of IT, I ultimately came to a conclusion similar to his. So I sympathize with him. Let me explain. Until the age of 26, I was employed as a technology consultant by a small
