Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley at
police memorial: ´I am deeply sorry´
for inadvertently honoring cop killer

Cincinnati Enquirer, by Sharon Coolidge

Original Article

Posted By:BaseballFan, 5/20/2017 11:03:49 AM

Mayor John Cranley did not intentionally issue a proclamation in honor the man who fatally shot Police Officer Sonny Kim - a message he wove into his speech to officers gathered on Fountain Square Friday to honor fallen officers. A day after the proclamation was issued and spotted on Facebook, Cranley apologized to the officers and their family members, saying "I am here to intentionally stand with you." "Yesterday we unintentionally hurt people in this community... I am deeply sorry," he said. Officers, standing shoulder to shoulder in uniform, were solemn as Cranley spoke, showing no reaction to the apology.

Comments:
Blames a rubber stamp. Of course this article doesn´t bother to attribute his political affiliation, so you know what that means…

Wide headlines can be split more than once.

He is sorry, but will he fire either or both of the aides who did this? Probably not. Democrats are never that sorry for the pain they inflict.

I take his word that he´s genuinely sorry...that was a huge thing to do to get up in front of the officers and apologize first thing. And the wording wasn´t weasely...no if I offended anyone I´m sorry, blah blah.

I should hope he´s fire the aides, but at least he wrote a letter to the cop killer´s father rescinding the commeration or whatever it was. The aides weren´t working there when the guy died, but did they know the dude had killed a cop?

Rubber stamp had a liberal mind of its own.
Democrats and liberals will stoop to the lowest of lowest to save their rear. And this mayor is no different. No accountability.

The reflex among the Democrats is putting them in opposition to truth and justice, the real kind, not the emotion-based and emotion-laden responses to everything and taking everything in a highly charged and higly partisan, political context.

He needs to engage the brain before speaking. We all need some of this wisdom, i know i do.

How could his aides issue a proclamation without knowing the facts? Who aked them to issue the proclamation?

The proclamation was issued by two of Cranley´s staff members, neither of whom worked for the city when Kim was killed. Cranley himself never saw it. It was signed with a rubber stamp of his signature.

The only one who should have a signature rubber stamp is yourself.

Defense Secretary James Mattis isn’t keeping private any of his feelings about what it means to serve in the U.S. Navy. In an Aug. 9 speech, Mattis bluntly praised Navy sailors for their service, telling them it meant “you’re not some pussy sitting on the sidelines.” “You will have some of the best days of your life and some of the worst days of your life in the U.S. Navy, you know what I mean?” Mattis told sailors stationed at Naval Base Kitsap, in Washington state.

The U.S. Navy said it has punished a sailor who went hiding after presumably going missing aboard the USS Shiloh near Japan, which triggered a search-and-rescue mission. A new study finds an increase in accident insurance claims in three states that have approved the sale of marijuana for recreational use. According the Highway Loss Data Institute, the number of vehicle collisions reported to insurance companies in Colorado, Oregon and Washington is 3 percent higher than what would have been expected if those states had not made it legal to buy pot. "We´re concerned about what we´re seeing," said Matt Moore, the institute´s senior vice president. Intelligent people are more likely to swear and walk around naked at home, according to a new study. Quizzing about 1,000 people on 400 typical behaviours, researchers at the University of Rochester in the US also found that extroverts are prone to telling dirty jokes, while those with agreeable personalities are more likely to sing in the shower. During the study, participants were asked if they performed each of the 400 behaviours, and how often. The results were then compared with their own personalities, with the aim being to identify signature behaviours for each of the main personality types.

I was born in Mexico, grew up in Tijuana, and moved to Arizona when I was 14. I went to high school in a small town called Holbrook, then went to Phoenix to go to Arizona State University. By that time, roughly 2012, Joe Arpaio’s vicious anti-Latino tactics had already raised racial tensions in Maricopa County, where he was sheriff. At the time, Arpaio was infamous among my community for his “sweeps.” He would send police into restaurants, hotels or anywhere else he suspected undocumented people might be working and would arrest those who couldn’t produce IDs. In January of 2009, I stood waiting in Wilmington, Delaware, for a train carrying the first African American elected president of the United States. I was there to join him as vice president on the way to a historic Inauguration. It was a moment of extraordinary hope for our nation—but I couldn’t help thinking about a darker time years before at that very site. My mind’s eye drifted back to 1968. I could see the flames burning Wilmington, the violence erupting on the news of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, the federal troops taking over my city. I was living history—and reliving

What on earth has happened to the moral and political sensibilities of Paul Ryan, John McCain, Jeff Flake, Jeb Bush, etc.? All of those RINOs who are attacking President Trump for pardoning Joe Arpaio are simpering, whining traitors to the party they allegedly represent. They should declare themselves Democrats and be done with the masquerade. Perhaps they should remind themselves of all the criminals and thugs that President Obama pardoned, or that President Clinton pardoned. Trump made it clear at his rally in Phoenix that he was going to pardon the beleaguered sheriff. The audience there was thrilled, as were the

"Two sides" didn´t produce the horrifying violence at Charlottesville. There were many sides. All were bad in varying degrees. The worst of the bad guys, of course, was the homicidal loser who drove a car into a crowd of people for the purpose of killing as many as he could. This is the guy who once assaulted his mother and was drummed out of the Army after four months. The next worst were the neo-Nazis. Yes, other groups are equally violent, equally racist, equally hateful and equally stupid. But neo-Nazis are in a special category because their predecessors — the ones that

This week former Speaker of the House California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi said, “The Constitution does not say that a person can yell wolf in a crowded theater.” For the first time, she said something with which I find no fault. I scoured the Constitution and there’s not a word about crying wolf in it. On the other hand, it does give primacy to the right of free speech. Americans still believe strongly in that right. Americans agree freedom of speech is under assault but strongly insist that they are prepared to defend that freedom even at the cost of their lives

Lost emails, destroyed hard drives, foot dragging, stonewalling, and a smirking, sneering IRS commissioner doing his best to obscure the truth -- this has largely been the response by the Internal Revenue Service to investigations by Congress and FOIA requests from conservative groups trying to discover the truth about the IRS targeting scandal. But one federal judge appears to be just as curious as the rest of us about what exactly the IRS was up to when it targeted conservative groups for special scrutiny in approving their tax-exempt status. That Hillary Clinton´s White House hopes were stunted at least in part by an unfair news media is a conviction that continues to burn strong with her hardcore believers, even as the rest of us know that, like Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Chris Cillizza´s political insight, it isn´t real. Complaints about the media as it relates to Clinton resurfaced this week after a New York Times reporter defended his paper´s coverage in 2016. Critics bombarded New York Times White House Correspondent Glenn Thrush on Monday after he shared a news article on Twitter about the Secret Service running out of money
