A federal judge has dismissed a discrimination lawsuit brought by the family a Muslim student who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school that officials believed to be a bomb, saying the student´s attorneys failed to prove he was treated differently based on his race or religion. (Snip) On Thursday, Judge Sam Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas granted the defendants´ motion to dismiss the lawsuit, saying the plaintiffs had failed to prove officials discriminated against Mohamed. In his ruling, Lindsay dismissed claims against the city and the school district, writing that

Comments:
Excellent! That slimy little jerk shouldn´t receive one dang dime for his alleged discrimination. He should be thankful his sorry butt isn´t in jail for what he did. You will never convince me that what he did wasn´t purposeful and done to illicit exactly the responses that occurred. They have until June 1 to file an amended complaint. I hope that doesn´t change a future verdict. He deserves NOTHING.

Contd. It´s amazing that the judge is a Clinton appointee. Link below. Isn´t it sad that immediately when reading a federal judge´s verdict you wonder who appointed him.

I thought the family was moving to Qatar. It isn´t clear in this article if they are there or still planning on going. Leave the country you jerk. We don´t want you here.

Key senators on Monday expressed unhappiness with the way the healthcare debate has been handled in the Senate on the eve of a critical procedural vote that could bury the Republican measure. The senators representing different sides of the GOP conference said they are frustrated to not know the direction of the healthcare legislation — or even what they might be voting to proceed towards on Tuesday. Several stopped short of threatening to withhold support from their leaders, however. “I don´t have a clue what we´re gonna be voting on,” said Sen. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is promoting increased trade with Iran, despite clear opposition to this policy by the Trump White House, according to multiple sources who described the agency´s behavior as rogue and part of a lingering effort by the former Obama administration to promote international trade with the Islamic Republic. A July report released by USDA praises the Obama administration´s efforts to open trade with Iran following the landmark nuclear agreement that dropped major sanctions on the Islamic Republic. The report contradicts White House policy on Iran, which has taken an increasingly hardline against increased relations with Iran under

Often in charge of younger siblings, we strayed further than we should have, got into trouble and, by the end of the summer, had a collection of triumphs, scars and memories for life.
