Trump to Tell Allies to Step

President Donald Trump wants the countries in NATO and U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf to step up their military might, and that’s the predominant message he´ll carry with him throughout the eight-day, five-stop foreign trip he’s embarking on starting Friday. “The United States has shouldered too much of the burden for too long,” a senior administration official said this week to preview the trip. That belief extends from U.S. defense spending, which exceeds that of the other major powers he´ll meet with by at least a factor of 10, to its leadership in the fight against ISIS, to its

Yeah, PT. They are actually telling you to go to Hell. The EU is forming their own army. Now is the time for us to get out of NATO. Let them have their own responsibility for a while. Go see Vlad. He really standing out as our best possible ally in this "New World Order". Only the nations that remain independant will survive the coming chaos. Britain, Russia, Brazil, India, USA axis. My God, that would shake the world back to its senses.

Poll of rural Americans shows deep
cultural divide with urban centers

The political divide between rural and urban America is more cultural than it is economic, rooted in rural residents’ deep misgivings about the nation’s rapidly changing demographics, their sense that Christianity is under siege and their perception that the federal government caters most to the needs of people in big cities, according to a wide-ranging poll that examines cultural attitudes across the United States. The Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation survey of nearly 1,700 Americans — including more than 1,000 adults living in rural areas and small towns — finds deep-seated kinship in rural America, coupled with a stark sense of

ALEXANDRIA, Va.- For three months, James T. Hodgkinson lived out of a white cargo van in a gentrified neighborhood just miles from where U.S. laws are made. Fellow YMCA patrons saw him there most mornings working on his laptop. One bartender said he spent many evenings quietly sipping cans of Budweiser by himself. The Bernie Sanders supporter told his wife he had an interest in tax policy, and he sold his Harley motorcycle and home inspection business before making the trip in March. By Tuesday, he seemed ready to come home, asking a mechanic to make sure his tires would survive

(Photo/Tweet) The sign was reported on Wednesday morning to the State Department of Transportation on and fixed the same day, a DOT spokesperson told Newsday. The president used the term this past Thursday when he alleged Hillary Clinton covered her tracks of corruption in multiple ways. (Tweet)

A Time Warner shareholder accused CNN of acting like it was the part the “resistance” movement against President Donald Trump. “I’m inquiring about CNN’s bias and our return on investment,” shareholder David Almasi reportedly told Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes during Thursday’s annual shareholders meeting. “Half the American public—which includes potential and current CNN viewers—voted for Trump last November and supports his agenda. CNN acts as if it is part of the anti-Trump resistance.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, “about half of the 300 people” at the annual shareholders meeting “applauded” Almasi while “several others later approached” him to “thank

A woman was arrested after rushing the stage at the controversial production of ‘Julius Caesar’ in Central Park Friday night during a stunt live streamed on social media. Laura Loomer, who works for the alt-right website The Rebel, ran onto the stage during the performance and was promptly dragged away and booed by the crowd. As she interrupted the play, fellow blogger and conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec filmed the disturbance while screaming “Goebbels would be proud” at the audience. Police said the woman was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. The duo apparently staged a protest because they were upset

ERIN, Wis.— The biggest surprise at this U.S. Open was not who was leading, but who was leaving. Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day — the top three players in the world, all of them professing expansive Erin Hills to be perfect for their games — spent Friday cleaning out their lockers after missing the cut. Left behind was the biggest 36-hole logjam in 43 years at the U.S. Open. Paul Casey chopped his way to a triple bogey, only to respond with five straight birdies that carried him to a 1-under 71 and make him the first to

"I am committed to ensuring that important provisions of the ACA, such as covering those with pre-existing conditions, continued support for Medicaid expansion, coverage for dependents and no lifetime limits, and funding for Planned Parenthood remain intact," she said in the letter obtained by Politico for a report Friday. Asked about the letter this week, the GOP senator told the newspaper she is a "strong proponent [of Planned Parenthood]

But this end-of-year event at Warren Elementary on the Far South Side ended up being anything but normal. Instead of balloons flying, there were bullets. “The kids were running around the playground playing with water balloons,” 14-year-old Khia said. “I went outside and saw a black van drive by and someone fired about five shots. “I ran inside. The FBI on Friday refused to hand over to The Washington Times unclassified memos that former Director James Comey wrote describing his meetings with President Trump because they are part of a pending or prospective law enforcement proceeding. The denial of the documents, whose existence was made known and whose release was encouraged by Mr. Comey himself, was a response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by The Times. It came as CNN and the New York Times filed lawsuits against the FBI after the bureau failed to respond to similar requests within a specified amount of time.

President Trump resurrected one of his most brutal and repeated attacks from the 2016 campaign, blasting ´crooked´ Hillary Clinton less than 24 hours after calling for national unity after the congressional baseball shooting. Trump slammed his former political rival in a series of tweets Thursday afternoon. ´Crooked H destroyed phones w/ hammer, ´bleached´ emails, & had husband meet w/AG days before she was cleared- & they talk about obstruction?´ Trump asked, combining his attacks on Clinton with gripes about the evolving Russia investigation. Seven percent of all American adults believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows, according to a nationally representative online survey commissioned by the Innovation Center of U.S. Dairy. If you do the math, that works out to 16.4 million misinformed, milk-drinking people. The equivalent of the population of Pennsylvania (and then some!) does not know that chocolate milk is milk, cocoa and sugar. But while the survey has attracted snorts and jeers from some corners — “um, guys, [milk] comes from cows — and not just the brown kind,” snarked Food & Wine — the most surprising thing about this figure may

CITIES could begin to start running out of fresh water in less than ten years, experts warn, as fears grow for the global population. Researchers have issued a stark warning that 2024 could spell the end of the absolute necessity that is fresh water for some northern hemisphere cities. Iqaluit, in eastern Canada, is earmarked as the first area which will run dry in just seven years time, a study by York University has found. Increasing demand on the supply coupled with crippling climate change is seeing residents facing a bleak future. Various methods are being suggested in an attempt to address the

So much for defanging the poisonous debate in Washington. Dozens of congressional staffers erupted into boos, jeers and even vulgar gesticulations Thursday when President Trump appeared in a video at the Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park. Mr. Trump delivered a message of unity, but some fans in the stands weren’t having any of it. One man shouted an expletive at the video screen as Mr. Trump was telling the fans: “We are showing the world we will not be intimidated by threats.” The episode marred what had been a night celebrating those wounded in Wednesday’s murderous attack on GOP players practicing for

WASHINGTON – Democratic lawmakers on Wednesday introduced legislation that would automatically register voters who transmit information to state and federal agencies, potentially adding 50 million new voters around the country. In introducing the legislation on the House Floor, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) discussed Shelby County v. Holder, a 2013 Supreme Court decision that struck down certain aspects of the 1965 Voting Rights Act and eliminated the need for nine states to seek federal approval for altering voting laws. Central to the decision was the debate over racial discrimination through polling laws. Controversial voting laws in Texas and South Carolina went into effect
