Dems Fear Their ‘Get Trump’ Frenzy
Neglects Pocketbook Issues

Some Democratic leaders around the country are growing increasingly concerned that the party could be repeating its errors from the 2016 election by looking past voters´ core concerns in lawmakers´ eagerness to take aim at the president. "We´re obsessed with what´s happening here, and a lot of American people are worried about that," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti told NBC News during an interview in D.C. this week. "But if you´re out of a job or struggling with debt, you´ve got more primary concerns than even all of the drama here in Washington. And if nobody is speaking to it, besides

It can’t help that Comey’s best pal Ben Wittes is tweeting like mad and running off at the mouth about all the stories Comey told him. Wittes confesses that he called Mike Schmidt at the NYT and read him Comey’s Valentine’s Day memo on his meeting with President Trump.

American people - especially the many many millions who voted for Donald J. Trump - really don’t like self-important little trolls like Wittes running around upsetting our Republican government. This is an ego trip on (anti-Trump by his own admission) Wittes’s part. Sort of a “Comey told me everything” trip. Does nothing for Comey’s rather sketchy image.

Don´t listen to this twaddle, Dems! You´re doing God´s work, albeit unintentionally, by going all out in the Trump attacks! Sure, there are a few people out there suffering economically but you should never forget they´re mostly "deplorables" who got the orange beast elected in the first place. A little hunger won´t hurt them a bit!

Stay strong and remember the media are on your side!

Like a speed freak on speed, nothing else is important, just getting another hit, and everything, eating, bathing, everything is secondary, until finally they collapse or reach such an advanced state of paranoia that it becomes impossible to get more drugs.

These people are entirely unhinged, hoping a bunch have so much stress that they have to retire or worse.

WASHINGTON — The newest member of Congress drew boos from some in his own Republican caucus on Wednesday as he called for withholding lawmakers’ pay unless they approve a balanced budget. Rep. Greg Gianforte of Montana, who was sworn in Wednesday, immediately made waves as he pledged to “drain the swamp” in his initial speech to Congress, an echo of President Donald Trump’s campaign promise. The 56-year-old former software executive earned national notoriety last month after he body-slammed a reporter who had questioned him about the GOP health care bill. In his speech Wednesday to a crowded House chamber, Gianforte also called

Democrats scrambled to regroup on Wednesday after a disappointing special election defeat in Georgia, with lawmakers, activists and labor leaders speaking out in public and private to demand a more forceful economic message heading into the 2018 elections. Among Democrats in Washington, the setback in Georgia revived or deepened a host of existing grievances about the party, accentuating tensions between moderate lawmakers and liberal activists and prompting some Democrats to question the leadership and political strategy of Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader. But the overarching theme among Democrats was a sense of sharp urgency about crafting a positive agenda

Temple University research shows extra-virgin olive oil protects against memory loss, preserves the ability to learn and reduces conditions associated with Alzheimer´s disease. Researchers at the college´s Lewis Katz School of Medicine found mice with EVOO-enriched diets had better memories and learning abilities compared to the rodents who didn´t eat the oil. The real effect of EVOO appeared in the inner-workings of the mice´s brains. Neuron connections in the brain were better preserved in those on an EVOO diet. Also, olive oil reduces brain inflammation and activates the autophagy process, whereby intracellular debris and toxins are removed. Such debris and toxins are firm

When Amazon on Friday announced a $13.7 billion deal to buy Whole Foods, John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods, could barely contain his enthusiasm. In a town hall with employees, he gushed about the impending "marriage"— a metaphor he revisited repeatedly — that was announced six weeks after a "blind date" with Amazon that he characterized as "love at first sight." Some Whole Foods investors are decidedly dourer, however, and it appears they have a case that the deal was consummated hastily and was in the best interests of Mackey rather than of shareholders.

The newly activated Democratic base -- the resistance! -- was tripping over itself for a fight. Their money arrived down South by the truckload. The Republican President´s approval ratings are in the tank. And yet, another Election Day is gone, and Democrats are again asking where it all went wrong. By late Tuesday night, the answers were rolling in. Prominently mixed into this dog´s breakfast of recriminations, mostly from the party´s activist left, there is at least one recurring thread: Democrats do not have, either by omission or commission, a cohesive economic message. The Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, led by Sen. Democrats pulled out all stops in their effort to show that the #Resistance isn’t just about marches and slogans and insulting the president, but also about flipping the House in 2018. Republican Karen Handel has defeated her upstart Democratic challenger in a Georgia runoff election. Handel, an experienced politician and former Secretary of State for Georgia, emerged on Tuesday night with a narrow win over 30-year-old Jon Ossoff.
