Comey “Friend”, Benjamin Wittes,
Outs Himself As Source for New

Long time CTH readers will note we extended well over a year of benefit-of-the-doubt to the motives of former FBI Director James Comey with regard to the severity of his politicized nature and disposition. Throughout the entire Clinton investigation we remained ambivalent to Comey’s motives. Indeed it wasn’t until after the Pulse nightclub terrorist attack when Comey obtusely noted the FBI had been contacted (prior to the attack) about the sketchy behavior of Omar Mateen by a ‘random concerned citizen’ -and our finding that the actual ‘citizen’ was the far more substantive St Lucie county sheriff Ken Mascara– that we

Comments:
Article goes on to talk about friend Benjamin Wittes, who admits he was one of the primary sources for the NYT’s story on the Comey memo. There is a lot of information here, linked to sources as needed. As always with this excellent site.

FTA:

The gist of Benjamin Wittes outline is that he interpreted his friend -the magnanimous harbinger of truth, justice and the American way- James Comey, as expressing a feeling of undue potential influence by horrible Trump that Comey did not feel with the more well regarded Obama. etc. etc. {insert pearl-clutching/couch-fainting violin music here}

Except there’s a problem.

Not only did FBI Director James Comey testify to congress that neither President Trump nor President Obama ever attempt interference; but there are earlier media reports which outlined President Obama’s administration specifically interfering with an investigative intention of FBI Director Comey (emphasis mine):

In summer 2016 Obama blocked any investigative intention of Director Comey regarding interference in our election by the Russians.

The Left´s Orgy of Condemnation of all things Trump is now entering the ´Morning After´ stage where the Revelers are faced with half empty beer cans with cigarette butts in them strewn about the house.

Trump, to his credit, marches on blissfully unaware of the low-life swamp dwellers recent victory party.

It may be that the ´Unaware´, ´Obtuse´, ´Single-Minded´ aspect of Trump (which both his supporters and his enemies find appalling) is exactly that quality which is needed to overcome the nasty, criminal, uppity onslaught from the Left.

I have always benefited from a legion of ´Guardian Angels´ who whisper: ´No,no,no--- Stop´ into my ear just before I jump over a cliff. But....Trump´s Guardian Angels hold a higher rank than mine and they let him run wild.....just enough.

Who will become the new Shakespeare and capture this fabulous struggle between ´The Powers that Be´ and the honest if simple soul of one good man ?

Let us not leave this to the craven denizens of Hollywood.

...and you can bet history is being re-written in favor of the bad guys every minute.

Just the fact that Wittes says Comey had positive regard for Obama - a huge liar on so many levels - indicates how twisted Comey´s view of the world and rights and wrongs is.

Biggest takeaway..Comey talks in waaaaay to much detail to others about what happens in an official setting. "Claims" Independence but is hyper cognizant about how he is perceived by Democrats...no mention of how he may be perceived by Republicans(or independents). I find it sommat interesting that Wittes career is working "In Law" though not a Lawyer...his wife was a major player at State under Clinton..."Transforming The Middle East", look at the transformations that took place under her expert guidance (2009-2012)

One has to realize, definitively, that the people like Comey were in office so ling they felt all powerful. I´ve seen this attitude infect bureaucrats over and over. I served as a prison bureaucrat for 12 years. durin that time I worked under 7 different Wardens and three Corrections Dept. Secretaries. All but one Warden and one Secretary were fired for cause or ended up serving time in their own prisons. Most of the Wardens went down to abuse of prison funds, gross negligence, theft of State Property or down right fraud using convicts or staff. One Secretary was fired for lying to the legislature during the budget process, hiding excess overtime paid to his friends. He was later murdered by convicts in another prison he later worked for. And one was fired because he was caught picking up hookers (really disguised police officers working on a John Sting).

What happens to these highly paid bureaucrats? I call it the "God Syndrome". They get to thinking they are super wise, pals with all the right people, the "Good Old Boy" club takes care of their own, etc. They think they can get away with murder (and some tried that, too). It´s a lack of oversight, lazy political structure, flaws int he system, loop holes that no one in our government ever look into that are taken advantage of, over and over. And whne they get caught and punishment comes down on them, it is always everyone else´s fault. Gods do not fail! They only end up betrayed by cursed blasphemers.

Donald Trump is president today because he was seen as a doer not a talker. Among the most common compliments paid him in 2016 was, “At least he gets things done!” And it was exasperation with a dithering GOP Congress, which had failed to enact his or its own agenda, that caused Trump to pull the job of raising the debt ceiling away from Republican contractors Ryan & McConnell, and give it to Pelosi & Schumer. Hard to fault Trump. Over seven months, Congress showed itself incapable of repealing Obamacare, though the GOP promised this as its first priority in three
