The Republican National Committee (RNC) on Friday announced it raised $41.5 million in the first three months of 2017, its strongest-ever total for the first quarter following a presidential race. “Our record-setting fundraising pace has been fueled by grassroots enthusiasm for President Trump and the Republican Party,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a statement. “The RNC is in a strong position to make an impact in key races in 2017 and 2018 as we plan to take a leading role in preserving our congressional majorities and prepare to reelect President Trump in 2020.” The RNC said it brought

My apprehension is whether the RNC will use the money to re-stock the swamp with the same critters and vermin that we elected President Trump to drain.

If the Republican Congress doesn´t quit fiddling around and get solidly behind PDJT´s agenda, they may see their fundraising come to a sudden stop.

Ronna, I agree about Trump, not so certain it was the RNC.
And given the RNC´s refusal to listen to their base, "Repeal" no replace, Build/Fund the Wall, eliminate the unconstitutional depts, no H1Bs, no mooslime refugees, &etc., they may very well see the money dry up, and get sent directly to constitutionalist candidates, and not the RNC.

During the early 2000´s I believed every word the RNC told me. Then I grew up. The latest begging strip diatribe was like the one received prior to the primary that only wanted to destroy Trump. I wrote all over the 4-page crapfest to leave me alone and shut up forever. Not one more dime then or ever. If there is a way I can vote with my purse directly to Mr. Trump, let me know. There has to be a way to show appreciation for all he has done in the first hundred or so days. More than any other Republican has EVER done or promised.

It´s getting too hard to tell if the earnest Republican candidate soliciting your money is just another swamp dwelling RINO, that, like a chameleon, will change it´s stripes after its election. I wholeheartedly agree with #1 & #2. The RNC doles out money to really questionable candidates, and then you look at the candidates Ryan & McConnell push, and you just save your money for the real thing!

I haven´t donated to the RNC since 2010 when they rejected the Tea Party. My donations go directly to the candidates.

We had some good candidates running against McConnell and McCain. The RNC buried them. I won´t be a part of that. Think how much better off we would be without those two RINO´s.

I don´t know if it´s the RNC or Mark Hensch is at fault for this article.

I don´t mind the announcement. It´s almost a ´good thing´; but the language used is insulting.

Record-setting HAUL ???

I read this to say: ´The RNC suckered the public into ponying up a boat load of money they can waist.´

I don´t see the; ´We appreciate your sacrifice to the Trump doctrine and RNC cause.´

These kind of articles make me uncomfortable - For Instance: After giving money to the guy at the gas station who said he was trying to get back to his pregnant wife - and then witness him walk into the next door liquor store and come out with a bottle of cheap wine.

It seems like they gloat about the numbers and don´t care that you are eating that can of soup that´s been in the cupboard for months, instead of going out to a restaurant. They don´t understand that it´s YOUR MONEY they´re spending.

The main reason that donations are up is that Donald Trump has given the party´s conservative base enthusiasm. They had better get with the President´s agenda or the money will dry up again.

Americans generally favor a more selective legal immigration system that would reward those who speak English and those who bring desired skills to the U.S., according to a new poll released Wednesday that could boost the new immigration bill President Trump is backing. The Morning Consult/Politico poll found 62 percent support for giving would-be immigrants who can speak English a leg up, and found 61 percent support for creating a point-based system to select new employer-based immigrants. Some 54 percent also said they want the government to weigh an immigrant’s need for taxpayer assistance in deciding whether to admit someone.

The man who brought us the phrase "nasty, rotty" food has unsurprisingly been busted for corruption. That´s one David Binkle, a former chef who bit and clawed his way to the top of the Los Angeles Unified School District´s $354-million food operation, running the Michelle Obama-ordained school lunch reform that was so bad in Los Angeles that the students set up a black market in Flamin´ Hot Cheetos as a substitute. His horrible operation gave us that evocative descriptor, "nasty rotty stuff," which got around. Turns out he was overpaying contractors, taking kickbacks, and billing it all to the taxpayer.
