Facebook Unveils Sinister Project
to Read Your Thoughts (Seriously)

Heat Street, by Kieran Corcoran

Elite Facebook scientists have unveiled their latest project: building technology to literally read your thoughts. A group of experts, led by the former boss of the Pentagon’s shadowy DARPA military research division, have hired 60 developers to bring the tech to life. At a conference in San Jose, covered by The Financial Times, Regina Dugan described how they hoped to monitor the movement of minerals moving through individual brain cells to read thoughts. (Snip) Dugan claimed that the social network’s only interest in accessing its users’ thoughts is to save them time typing or speaking so they can “get all

Comments:
Absolutely nothing would surprise me anymore related to things like this. It sounds like some weird tin foil hat conspiracy but with I just don´t see that it is inconceivable. A few weeks ago I saw a segment on 60 minutes that is related. I never watch that show and by chance was flipping around and saw the story about how iPhones are programmed addict the user. Link below. Considering the behavior of those who are permanently glued to their iPhones I don´t see that as being too far fetched. It really is a frightening brave new world.

The tech world was mystified when Microsoft purchased Skype, a company which had never turned a profit or had any room to grow, for BILLIONS of dollars. For what? To cannibalize the client into a new, glorified version of Microsoft Lync?

Then, it came out (I believe in the Snowden affair, if memory serves) that the software had been modified to act as an active and passive listening device for the NSA. FOR the NSA, mind you, not BY them. While it will (probably) never be proven, the ludicrous sum for that purchase was likely paid by you and me, through national security appropriations.

I have little doubt that something similar is going on here a surveillance technology research expenditure being disguised as Convenient New Innovation for Your Home or Office Use!

But, the data-processing capabilities of our vaunted cyber security apparatus at Fort Meade and the Utah Data Center are already totally outstripped by the sheer amount of data being collected on the American people. This makes them nearly useless for discerning national security threats, but pretty excellent at storing the communications of every American. Just in case, for some reason, you might want to pick out some individual and peel his life apart like an onion.

Once the Panopticon can read our thoughts, they´re gonna have to buy ten more like the Utah Data Center. BOHICA. Our surveillance state overlords are going to make you and me purchase our own chains, and at a steep price.

Not surprised. I think there has been much study into mob-mentality behavior and the left has been directing the lemmings, starting with ´Big Education´ (but now in grade schooling as well)and ´Big (and Social) Media´. They may not be attempting to read our thoughts so much as checking on the progress of how well they can direct them.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer will soon be taking on a new role at the White House, overseeing the entire communications operation including the press office while giving up some of his day-to-day duties at the podium, Fox News has learned. While Spicer´s new title is still being decided, his new role will be considered a promotion to a position at the level of deputy chief of staff. Unclear is who will take over the regular duties as press secretary -- though President Trump is fond of Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ performance to date -- or who will become

Thursday evening, CBS´s Scott Pelley, who officially ended his tenure as the network´s Evening News anchor the following evening, told viewers that "It´s time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress Wednesday was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted." It´s clear from Pelley´s subsequent commentary that his answers to all three elements are "Yes." It´s equally clear from the examples he supplied as support that he sees (or wants viewers to see) the problem as predominantly about the conduct of those on the right. Here is Pelley´s full commentary: Transcript below: It´s time to ask whether the attack on
