Republican senators could investigate U.S. tax dollars funding liberal billionaire George Soros’ networks abroad “through other means” if the Trump administration’s State Department doesn’t provide answers. Six GOP senators wrote Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in March to ask for a State Department probe into how the federal grants are being used by Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, specifically in Macedonia and Albania, to promote progressive causes and undermine conservative and moderate political leaders in those countries. The State Department Bureau of Legislative Affairs responded not by addressing the question of a probe, but defending the U.S. Agency for International Development, or

Comments:
This is disturbing. Maybe it´s just because there are too many holdovers in the State Department. I don´t want to think about other possible reasons the department won´t investigate Soros´s trying to bring down the democratically elected government of Macedonia.

Why George Soros is still walking around free and causing so much havoc here and in the world is a travesty of justice. If I were dealing with the State dept on this, I would simply tell them: ´We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. But one way or another, we will have answers.´ Thank you Judicial Watch and Sen Mike Lee for all you´re doing to bring this criminal to justice.

Look to John McCain.
How much did his McCain Institute get from Soros to do Macedonia´s bidding?
Remember when he called Sen. Paul a Russian spy because he shut him down?

GOP Healthcare Bill Abandons

As we described yesterday, there are some concerning policy elements of the House-passed American Health Care Act, which the Senate would be wise to explore and rectify over the coming weeks. The bill -- and that´s all it is at this point: a work in progress -- repeals and alters significant portions of the Democratic Party´s failing experiment in "affordability." But based on rhetoric from elected Democrats and the Left generally, one might assume that Obamacare was called the "Pre-existing Conditions Coverage Act" (side-stepping the whole "choice and affordability" fairy tale they peddled), and that the Republican bill obliterates those

Following the defenestration of Jim DeMint, interim Heritage Foundation President Ed Feulner called a staff-wide meeting to soothe fears of shaken staffers. No matter who occupied the throne, he promised that the think tank would remain "the leading ideas factory in Washington," a favorite of President Trump and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. "We were Ronald Reagan´s favorite think tank," Feulner reminisced on Tuesday evening in front of roughly 300 employees packed into Heritage´s eighth floor auditorium. "And today we are, and will continue to be, Donald Trump´s favorite think tank." At once looking to the future and dispelling rumors that

On Tuesday, the Heritage Foundation´s board of Trustees unanimously "asked for and received the resignation of Jim DeMint as president and CEO of the organization," according to a statement from board Chairman Thomas Saunders. According to multiple reports, Michael Needham of Heritage Action clashed with the former South Carolina senator and pushed for his ouster. This evening, DeMint defended his tenure with the following statement: (Snip) The public statement released earlier is puzzling given that the board of trustees has

A Bedouin tribe in the Sinai peninsula said it set an ISIS fighter ablaze as a response to a threat from the terror group, and called on all tribes to unite and battle the Islamic State together. As ISIS has been losing territory in Iraq and Syria, their Sinai chapter has expanded its reach, even establishing a religious police force that has been terrorizing residents who smoke cigarettes or shave. ISIS also threatened residents against cooperating with the army and police. That, along with ISIS spreading fake news that they had killed 40 members of the al-Tarabeen tribe, drove the Bedouins to

The most telling detail in the Kansas City Star’s lengthy article about the decision by Kansas City, Kansas Archbishop Joesph Naumann to sever ties with the Girl Scouts comes in the concluding paragraph. “I feel like we’re being discriminated against,” says Maria Walters, a former Girl Scout leader in the archdiocese, “We’ve been wiped from the archdiocese website, and we have no leadership role in the church at all. For eight years, U.S. foreign assistance was tied to a leftist political agenda rather than American interests, and it’s now up to President Donald Trump to correct that, Sen. Mike Lee said Tuesday. Lee took particular aim at U.S. support during the Obama administration for the overseas work of nonprofits bankrolled by liberal billionaire George Soros. “Whatever one’s views about abortion, energy regulation, alternative family structures, they are neither core international priorities of the American people, nor essential to American national security. They are domestic political controversies, pet causes of a sort of privileged, globalist elite,” Lee said in the speech

Now that student mobs at universities around America (and elsewhere in the West) have silenced conservative speaker after conservative speaker, it has dawned on a small number of left-wing professors that the public is beginning to have contempt for the universities. As a result, a handful of academics at a handful of universities have signed statements in support of allowing “diverse” views to be heard at the university. These statements are worthless. While some of the professors who have signed these statements might sincerely believe that the university should honor the non-left value of free speech, one should keep in

It has been six months since the political world was rocked to its core with the upset election of Donald Trump as President. One person who has not gotten over Trump’s victory is his opponent, Hillary Clinton. Of course, in the days before the election, almost every pollster and commentator predicted a Clinton victory. This week, in an interview with Christiane Amanpour of CNN, Clinton blamed the loss on “the combination of Jim Comey´s letter
