Emails show O´Reilly lawyers´
last-ditch effort to save his job

The day before Bill O´Reilly was cut loose from Fox News after 20 years with the network, his handlers appeared to believe they had at least one more card to pull that might help save his job in the midst of a sexual harassment scandal engulfing the top-rated prime time host.On Tuesday, O´Reilly and his legal team debated whether to share with the leadership of parent company 21st Century Fox an April 13 email from Mary Pat Bonner, a Democratic fundraiser and ally of the liberal watchdog group Media Matters, which had spearheaded what she called an "advertiser education campaign"

This article isn´t so much about O´Reilly´s last ditch effort to save his job, as it is about Media Matters´ all-out war to destroy him with a targeted blitz of advertisers to cancel their ads for his show. This should be a lesson to all other conservative commentators and producers on exactly how the war against them will be conducted from now on.

FTA: “This is not based off of an outrage moment, but rather, it’s responsive to a deep pattern of sexual harassment,”

Bullshiite. If true, where was this outrage and blitz when Bill Clinton was having his bimbo eruptions? Or ANY other Democrat for that matter.

They don´t realize that O´Reilly was harmless.
Tucker Carlson will destroy them. He´s young, whip-smart, and draws blood on every single libiot who comes on his show.
They can´t touch him.

Further proof the MSM and the Dims have nothing to bolster their party... only to try to destroy anyone that is perceived as either powerful or possibly effective at exposing them for what they are. (Flynn, Sessions, Nunes to name a few that come to mind recently)

The notches in the belt are mounting. When are we going to start to fight back? FNC needs O´Reilly more than O´Reilly needs FNC. Im not a huge fan, but I hate liberal groups that get away with these destructive tactics.

I´s a shame O´Reilly should have learned his lesson from the first scandal. Better to shut it down now because the media would continue picking and picking. Hard to defend. My fear is the two liberal sons of FOX Rupert Murdoch Heckle & Jeckle are going to morph FOX into another liberal TV Station. Hannity watch your back.

In my opinion, If you´re a high profile conservative you best be squeaky clean. The unethical left will always be going through your garbage. They, of course, ignore the nastiness of their own people. Their world is near the bottom rung of decency.

I like how you called the Murdoch brothers Heckle and Jeckle #5. Too me those two morons are like Yakko and Wakko from the old Animaniacs cartoon. They will definitely try to steer Fox News into becoming more like CNN. As for O´Reilly it is truly a shame when something like messing with the women that work for you with you or are in the same building as you. You should´ve had more self control than that. We all know that the rabid leftist dirt bags will stop at nothing to destroy FNC, talk radio and websites like Lucianne.com. Why give them ammo. This is another reason why I like VP Pence as he will not be in the company of a woman who isn´t his wife without someone else present. That may be a little old fashioned thinking to the "enlightened crowd" i.e. the libtards but I can attest to his point. At my job we get yearly sexual harassment training. Maybe other workplaces should follow suit.

Last night I realized what a void has been created with OReilly´s exit. I turned on FOX as usual and could listen to the mindless Perrino for about 2 minutes, tops. "The Factor" logo sans O´Reilly´s name underscored that not only is he gone, but his No-Spin Zone vanished as well. {{{ POOF! }}} Just like that, done in by a targeted smear campaign of old news, suddenly revived. I felt isolated.
I could not find news about the Paris attack on ANY of the other so-called news channels. I KNOW O´Reilly would´ve mentioned it. Anderson Cooper was blathering on about Trump´s inability to keep his promises. And that idiot on MSNBC whose claim to fame is that his father COULD be Frank Sinatra was carrying on about how there MUST be a Chafetz scandal about to break.
There´s a huge danger here and it has nothing to do with whether or not you liked O´Reilly. This was an orchestrated campaign to remove him by reviving harassment stories from 6-11 YEARS ago. They resurfaced NOW for a reason. Rush, Hannity, Levin, Savage and even Tucker Carlson will be next. We will have no place to go, and that is the point of it all. Until WE learn to organize, until we learn to aggressively participate in "advertiser education campaigns" we will continue to enable the radical left. They will take down what little network we have and spoon feed us only the news THEY determine we should know. This is scary stuff.

Whether it was an orchestrated campaign by Media Matters to bring him down or not, O´Reilly gave them the fuel for the fire. There´s a saying out there, "I don´t play where I work, I don´t work where I play". ´ guess he never heard that. Yes, the temptations are certainly present with all the hot Fox babes but O´Reilly should have restrained himself. To pursue women at work, at such a controversial news outlet, known to be under assault by socialists, is akin to praising or drinking Pepsi at Coke, praising or drinking Coke at Pepsi, meeting with mistresses at lunch while working at CIA, etc. This could be called self inflicted wounds. One question, Bill, did you know Lisa Bloom was Gloria Allred´s daughter?! Big mistake to hit on her, that´s a landmine and you stepped on it.

I posted this a few days ago, but I think it needs to be posted again. And that is there is another, fairly new (started in 2013) conservative network in place. It´s the One American News Network, known as OANN of just OAN. I have it one my cable system and it´s pretty good. It was founded by Herring Networks, Inc. whose CEO is Robert Herring. And it used to own the Washington Times. On that part, I don´t know if they still do. Currently, it´s only on a few cable systems. I get it thru AT&T Uverse. And you can reach it at www.oann.com. You should give it a try.

#15 reportedly Ailes required female journalist to wear low necked, short hemmed dresses. It was obvious the majority started wearing higher necklines and longer hemmed dresses when he was gone. I for one believe the allegations against him. I questioned all along how Megyn Kelly skyrocketed to the top with ability to screech and wear high dollar call girl clothes.

Regarding BOR in the emails in this article he doesn´t deny the allegations but perhaps that wasn´t germaine. Yes, it was a "run Bill out of town campaign" but that doesn´t change the fact he was guilty. You don´t pay hush money when innocent.

As conservatives, right or wrong, we claim the moral high ground. It is impossible to take anyone serious knowing they paid a woman to keep quiet not just about casual flirtation but sexual deviant behavior over the telephone. There are women will to put up with that for pay. He should have utilized their services anonymously not for free a subordinate he could make or break in their career.

Maybe FOX, Ailes and BOR needed to be called to heel.

BOR was brought down via bis growing extreme arrogance just like M. Kelly.
Kelly seemed to remodel herself into the ultra female for the first primary debate and win a position in the for certain Hillary white house. Meanwhile BOR decided to treat DJT as a bumbling outsider he could reshape into a star thereby becoming the force behind the throne.
When both failed it was a war to see which one would control the top spot.
Now both are gone.
Will Fox survive --who cares?
A family member lived by the word of BOR and sneers at the internet news that I prefer. Read it and form your own concepts-- who needs talking egos to tell you what is happening!

Pretty good article on what really happened:

News brings word that the SJW’s have bagged their biggest trophy to date. Bill O’Reilly is the most popular cable news talker in the business and he was just fired for making the girls cry. It is all part of what is looking like a well orchestrated effort to break Fox News on the wheel of political correctness. The screeching harpies knocked out Roger Ailes and now they have taken out the top star, all via the same method – powerskirts claiming to have been done wrong by the knuckle-dragging misogynists running the network.

The claim will be that the advertisers demanded Fox fire O’Reilly, but that is complete nonsense. Cable channels, like Fox News, exist on subscription revenues, not advertising dollars.FNC gets $1.50 from every cable home each month. That’s roughly $1.8 billion a year whether people watch or not. Their ad revenue is less than a third of that number. In the case of ESPN, for example, ad revenue is around one billion, and they have an audience about ten times the size of a cable news operation, even Fox News.

Goes on to say that this would dent Fox’s bottomline, but would not be compelling enough to cause them to drop an O’Reilly. No, Rupert was never a conservative and his kids are what this writer calls “prog loonies”. Good read on “The Demise of Fox News”.

Like poster #9 I too feel a void without the O´Reilly show. Of late, I found he was too in love with himself and of course, there were times I vehemently disagreed with him. Certainly I didn´t like when it appeared he was going light on Obama or Hillary in an attempt to get them on his show.

But, for 20 years we watched him and noted the many issues that other FOX programs and certainly other channels did not pick up and he did. We will miss that very much.

The Murdoch boys are libs, pure and simple. They are fashioning FOX into CNN and I believe that Hannity will be their next target. I hear that one of their wives works for the Clinton Global Initiative. If that´s true then we can really understand why the NY Times resurrected and featured these accusations against O´Reilly and also why Media Matters pursued advertisers as viciously as they did.

You may hate O´Reilly, but this orchestrated assassination will not end with him. Hannity, Levin and yes even Tucker, will be in their cross hairs.

Beck tried to start his own network but then got sidetracked. We need a real, gutsy and focused network that at least will attempt to present the other side of the Democrat media´s indoctrination. Rush, are you listening? Time to start a network with your pal, Ailes.

After 52 hours of jury deliberation, the case against Bill Cosby on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 ended on Saturday in a mistrial. But at least the public verdict on Mr. Cosby is clear: He will be remembered as a very low sort of hypocrite — the self-styled exemplar of conservative family values exposed as a sexual predator. Federal authorities are investigating whether sensitive data was stolen from congressional offices by several Pakistani-American tech staffers and sold to Pakistani or Russian intelligence, knowledgeable sources say. What started out 16 months ago as a scandal involving the alleged theft of computer equipment from Congress has turned into a national-security investigation involving FBI surveillance of the suspects. Investigators now suspect that sensitive US government data — possibly including classified information — could have been compromised and may have been sold to hostile foreign governments that could use it to blackmail members of Congress or even put their lives at risk.

WASHINGTON — The Secret Service can no longer pay hundreds of agents it needs to carry out an expanded protective mission – in large part due to the sheer size of President Trump´s family and efforts necessary to secure their multiple residences up and down the East Coast. Secret Service Director Randolph "Tex´´ Alles, in an interview with USA TODAY, said more than 1,000 agents have already hit the federally mandated caps for salary and overtime allowances that were meant to last the entire year. The agency has faced a crushing workload since the height of the contentious election season, and it

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has revealed that during the 2016 presidential campaign, House Speaker Paul Ryan told him and his fellow Republicans to give up on Donald Trump´s campaign and just focus their energy on keeping "President Hillary Clinton accountable." According to Ryan, the Republicans had no chance at the White House, so at the very least they should try to retain their House majority. The directive came during a conference call, Gohmert told The Daily Caller in a video interview and then confirmed again during his appearance on "Fox & Friends" Sunday. The Texas Republican, as you can imagine, was not

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Sunday gave a strong endorsement to the movement for removing monuments to leaders of the Confederacy and called for the electoral college to be abolished. Speaking at the Islamic Center of Southern California, Jackson blamed the electoral college system, giving disproportionate influence to less populated states, for the 2000 and 2016 loss of Democratic presidential candidates Al Gore and Hillary Clinton despite their winning the popular vote. “Today we are looking at a structural problem,” Jackson said. “These monuments must go. Calling for the audience to repeat, he said, “Say the monuments and the flags

Seven months later, construction of the wall has yet to begin, the number of Border Patrol officers has actually dropped by 220

The eclipse that occurred over Chicago led thousands to the beaches and streets, where they gasped and cried out as the sun partially disappeared. For WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling, it was an especially awe-inspiring event. The famed meteorologist hugged and high-fived people around him and wept as the eclipse occurred Monday afternoon. "Oh, my word," Skilling said. "Wow. This is amazing. What do you think of this, this?" At another point, he told viewers, "I´ll get my act together, guys." His voice cracking, Skilling apologized for his tears. Skilling´s heartfelt reaction earned him praise from fans:

Trust in the mass media is at an all-time low. Two-thirds of Americans believe the mainstream press publishes fake news. Yes, there’s still much good journalism to be found, if you know where to look. Yet, ask reporters who’ve been around a while, and many will tell you that a lot of good journalism is being left unpublished. Good journalists hate what’s happening to the news.
