On Wednesday, the Murdoch family finally made it official Bill O’Reilly was out after a slew of sexual harassment allegations against the long-time media star. (Snip) Now, yet another woman has come forward. Caroline Heldman, a professor at Occidental College, and guest on the O’Reilly Factor reportedly called the Fox News hotline on Wednesday to make her allegations official against the former network ratings star. According to her bio, Heldman is an associate professor of politics who specializes in the presidency, media, gender and race. She most recently appeared on the Fox News network earlier this week to battle Tucker
Comments: That woman is a stark raving Marxist lunatic. I saw her interview with Tucker and her stance that the ´one percent´ should pay 80 percent in taxes made me sick. The ´victory´ letter in this article from the vile Lisa Bloom made my blood pressure rise to unhealthy levels. She and her mother, Gloria Allred, are evil, disgusting women who do nothing but hurt women. They are always the first ones to run before a camera. They make me sick.
There should be a law to protect people from predatory attorney looking for a settlement out of court. In a way, I´m happy FOX let O´Reilly go. Now he can go after them and he´ll win. They have nothing but male/female banter. It oes on all the time everywhere. These same women broadcast their sexuality exposing their legs and then all of a sudden become pristine and righteous is a joke.
Bill O´Reilly this is your chance to practice what you´ve preached all these years. Don´t let this one slip away. Defend yourself and walk away with your head high.
It is impossible for me to take any woman seriously about sexual harassment allegations when they sit silently while trying to advance their careers, and then come forward when they see an opportunity to cash in on lawsuits/money settlements. They simply look like craven opportunists to me.
This attractive-looking woman (but definitely a type) is crazy as a loon! She’s the one who believes the wealthy should give almost all of their earnings to the government in income taxes. She’s an Associate Professor, Politics, at Oxy.
I would think Lisa Bloom and Moms Allred would be sorry to see O’Reilly go. Cuts into their revenue and potential future haul.
The Factor´s segments with Caroline Heldman were tedious at best. Why BOR had to inflict this Democratic propagandist on his audience was always baffling since she simply parroted the nonsense of the loathsome Pelosi, Reid and other Dems. If BOR was, as claimed, that desperate to sexually harass a woman, couldn´t he at least have found someone with charm and depth?
From visits on O´Reilly in the past it is hard to take this woman seriously. She seems like many of privilege who live very comfortably but pretend to be ate up with concern for "the little people". These people simply cannot intellectualize the truth of what will happen to them if radicals/communists take over this country - to the stadium and up against the wall.
If it is true that what is behind the allegations is a left wing plot to destroy a conservative media star then all the accusers should be lefties, or maybe a couple of them just wanting to cash in. I don´t think that is the case.
#7, the 1980s standard for sexual harrassment, fomented/manufactured by uber feminists, was severe. Here is an example. If a male manager says to a female subordinaste, "You look nice in that dreess" that statement constituted sexual harrassment. If the manager said, instead, "that´s a nice looking dress," thsat would not constitute sexual harrassment. That sort of thinkng lasted until Dollar Bill Clinton sodomized a chubby girl intern. Then the uber feminists said, "that was an acceptable consensual relationship."
The feminists have seemed to lapse back to the 1980s standards.
A high level security person at a major motion picture studio was a friendly guy, whom everyone loved. A joy to be around. One of the clerical staff in his department was a cute light-skinned black girl. They were friendly, joked with each other. One day he called her Brown Sugar (remember the song?). She laughed. No big deal. But another male employee, who was jealous of the security person’s success, turned it in as “harassment” and the security man was suspended. He was mortified. Soon after he retired.
I too, along with my husband watcheded the interview with Ms. Socialist Assist. Prof Caroline Heldman. I mentioned how angry she came across. I ventured to him that the "billionaire" she alluded to was possibly President Trump and that her seriously FLAWED candidate LOST - BIG LEAGUE to quote him; hence her aggressive display. I was hoping the erudite Tucker Carlson would come back with, "You mean Mark Cuban?" And then we would see her confused reaction.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) went after Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson at a town hall on Saturday. At the town hall in Gardena, Calif., Waters said that Carson should go back to his former profession of being a surgeon, the Los Angeles Times reports. Waters also told the crowd that the next time Carson went before the House Financial Services Committee, she would "take him apart." Waters is the top Democrat on that committee. One woman in the audience carrying a sign that read "Impeach Mad Max" was yelling that Waters had to go. Waters
In an uncomfortable exchange with CNN’s Erin Burnett Tuesday night, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) twice dismissed reports the FBI is actively investigating his wife, Jane Sanders, for fraudulent activities as president of Burlington College. “My wife is about the most honest person I know,” claimed Sanders, cutting off Burnett’s initial line of questioning. “When she came to that college it was failing financially and academically. When she left it, it was in better shape than it had ever been.” (Snip) According to Sanders, the investigation is politically motivated. "Just at the moment, coincidentally no doubt, when I am a candidate for
Senate Republicans are pressuring Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to drop tax cuts included in the GOP plan to partially repeal and replace Obamacare. The lawmakers include Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, who says he opposes the cuts in their current form because they come at the expense of low-income individuals, who would be provided less federal money to buy health insurance than under Obamacare. McConnell is said to be considering a change to the tax cuts. (Snip) Corker said he and fellow lawmakers are not comfortable with the idea of cutting taxes for the wealthy while leaving some without the money to
"The truth is, generally I look very sharp in jeans." -- Barack Obama, 2014. While the statement wasn´t one of then-President Obama´s most important pronouncements during his time in office, it was one of the most questionable, from a truth perspective. (Snip) He again wore jeans on Tuesday, this time while on vacation with his family in Bali, Indonesia. The look was a definite upgrade, but the jury´s still out as to whether jeans are, or should be, his thing. "There was one episode like four years ago, in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was
A national security briefing for Senate Judiciary Committee members was scuttled Wednesday after a top Democrat invoked a procedural rule to delay the closed-door meeting. (Snip) The delay earned rebuke from Sen. Charles Grassley, the head of the committee that had expected to be briefed. “The Judiciary Committee was set to hear from senior intelligence officials about highly sensitive intelligence gathering authorities that will soon require action from Congress,” Mr. Grassley said. “It’s disturbing and reckless for the Minority Leader to block the briefing. We’ve seen too many recent reminders of how unsafe the world is today. This is no
CNN, in an apparent effort to elevate its journalistic standards, welcomed famed Sesame Street puppet Elmo onto a political panel, where he opined on the Syrian refugee crisis. The Facebook Live panel ncluded actual CNN journalist Clarissa Ward and International Rescue Committee activist David Miliband. It was aimed at tackling how to help Syrian children, set adrift by the civil war wracking the country, feel more comfortable in temporary quarters far from home. But Elmo couldn’t resist scoring a few political points. “Did you find that the Syrian little girls and little boys were a lot like your friends here
As the GOP attempts to slash Medicaid and repeal Obamacare in Congress, Sen. Elizabeth Warren is barnstorming her state of Massachusetts, advocating for a single payer system that should, in her mind, be wholly adopted by the Democratic Party. “President Obama tried to move us forward with health-care coverage by using a conservative model that came from one of the conservative think tanks that had been advanced by a Republican governor in Massachusetts,” she told The Wall Street Journal in an interview last week. “Now it’s time for the next step. And the next step is single payer.” Warren, a
Former press secretaries for Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton tweeted on Wednesday that live coverage of White House press briefings should end and the film should be embargoed until later. "We support no live TV coverage of WH briefing," Ari Fleischer, former press secretary to Bush, and Mike McCurry, former press secretary to Clinton, both said in tweets. "Embargo it & let it be used, but not as live TV. Better for the public, the WH & the press." (Snip) Fleischer and McCurry had previously made a similar argument in a joint op-ed that appeared in the Columbia
The Hill’s media reporter slammed CNN over their Russia coverage on Fox News Tuesday, saying CNN failed to learn from past mistakes. Joe Concha discussed CNN’s reporting on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after the company had to correct two stories related to the the current investigation into Russia meddling during the presidential campaign. “CNN got burned once they should have learned from it,” said Concha. “They got burned twice people resigned.” The most recent story resulted in a full retraction and relied on a single anonymous source. Three CNN employees resigned in the aftermath, and the media giant issued a new series of rules
CNN commentator Van Jones called the Russia story a “nothing burger” in the second CNN-related undercover video released by Project Veritas this week. “The Russia thing is just a big nothing burger,” Jones says on the video, apparently unaware he is being filmed. “There’s nothing there you can do.” The comments caught on tape aren’t terribly inconsistent with what Jones has said in the past. While Jones has criticized Trump’s lukewarm responses to Russian election interference, he has also gone after the Democrats for using Russia as an excuse for their 2016 failure. “Let’s be honest,” Jones said of the
In 1953, Manning Johnson, a former propaganda director for the Communist Party in America, testified to the U.S. Congress that Marxists had infiltrated Catholic seminaries. “In the earliest stages it was determined that with only small forces available it would be necessary to concentrate Communist agents in the seminaries and divinity schools,” he said. “The practical conclusion, drawn by the Red leaders, was that these institutions would make it possible for a small Communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen in the paths most conducive to Communist purposes.” At the time, many dismissed this testimony. But who doubts the
Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin’s office will not release reported email correspondence with anti-GOP shooter James Hodgkinson. An Associated Press report says, “Hodgkinson also visited the office of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose campaign he had worked on as a volunteer, and was in email contact with the two Democratic senators from his home state.” The “two Democratic senators from his home state” of Illinois would presumably be Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth. When The Daily Caller reached out to Sen. Durbin’s office, we received this comment, “Mr. Hodgkinson contacted our office to state his opinion on a variety of
Former national security adviser and UN ambassador Susan Rice refuses to go quietly into retirement, even though she remains one of the most controversial figures of the Obama Administration. Now, thanks to a glowing profile in New York Magazine, we know that despite Susan Rice’s very public shortcomings (whatever happened to that dastardly filmmaker who spurred violence across the Middle East, anyway?), she believes any criticism of her tenure is at least partly the result of racism and sexism. When asked why she became a “target” in the Trump Administration, she replied, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about
As former FBI Director James Comey’s best friend, Robert Mueller, stocks his Seinfeld investigation-about-nothing with every Democratic lawyer and Hillary and/or Obama donor he can find, we are treated to the delicious irony of collusion with Russia being confirmed -- and the colluder-in-chief being Ex-president Barack Hussein Obama. Even Obama’s Democrat supporters are now acknowledging he knew about Russia’s hacking of the DNC and Podesta emails. They are acknowledging that he did nothing but are not acknowledging the reason why – that he thought Hillary Clinton was going to succeed him and he wanted to do nothing to offend the
Just days before he resigns from Congress, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said Monday that House and Senate lawmakers should receive a $2,500 per month housing allowance — something he explained would help ease housing costs for members who can’t afford two mortgages or rents. “I really do believe Congress would be much better served if there was a housing allowance for members of Congress,” Chaffetz told The Hill in an interview in his Capitol office, where he sleeps whenever he’s in Washington. “In today’s climate, nobody’s going to suggest or vote for a pay raise. But you shouldn’t have to be
Ohio Gov. John Kasich came out against the Senate Republican health care bill Sunday, saying both Republicans and Democrats need to do a better job at helping poor people. “Both parties ought to be worried about poor people, because I don’t think either party particularly cares about helping poor people,” Mr. Kasich, who lost the Republican Party’s presidential nomination to President Trump last year, told CNN’s Dana Bash. “You look at the rates of poverty, the problems in this country,” he continued. “We have not designed a system to get people work. Everything we’re talking about now — getting people
Barack Obama has been pictured visiting the Tirta Empul Temple during his family trip to Bali. The former president, wife Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia, were yesterday pictured white water rafting down the Ayung River, a popular tourist spot on the Indonesian Island. Today a healthy-looking Obama swapped the bulky hat and life jacket for a white polo shirt and dark jeans while attending the Hindu Balinese water temple, near the town of Tampaksiring. Michelle, Sasha and Malia wore yellow sarongs and sashes - known as a selendang - over their clothes, as is customary when visiting holy
Sen. Bernie Sanders didn’t mince words on Tuesday when asked about the FBI’s investigation into his wife — calling it a “pathetic” and politically motivated attack, spurred by President Trump. “My wife is about the most honest person I know,” the Vermont lawmaker told CNN. “All that I will tell you now is it’s a sad state of affairs in America when not only we have politicians being destroyed… but when you go after people’s wives. That’s pretty pathetic,” he said. Sander’s wife, Jane, is currently in the midst of a federal probe involving a $10 million loan that led
The world has three years to start making significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions or face the prospect of dangerous global warming, experts have warned in an article in the prestigious journal Nature.Calling for world leaders to be guided by the scientific evidence rather than “hide their heads in the sand”, they said “entire ecosystems” were already beginning to collapse, summer sea ice was disappearing in the Arctic and coral reefs were dying from the heat. The world could emit enough carbon to bust the Paris Agreement target of between 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius in anything from four to
Following CNN’s retraction of a story surrounding the Russia probe and the resignation of three accomplished journalists, a number of conservative commentators took great joy in railing against the network. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to deliver a rant in which he used his favorite description of the outlet — Fake News — rather judiciously. Well, at least one direct competitor came to the network’s defense — MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough. (Tweets) While Scarborough has definitely been on an anti-Trump tilt for a while now, so his comments towards the president aren’t really surprising, his defense of CNN surely
President Donald Trump´s popularity is slacking with independent voters who will make or break his next bid and could hand over control of the legislative branch to Democrats in 2018. Four months ago, in February, four in 10 independents gave Trump positive marks for his performance in office. An NPR survey with Marist and PBS Newshour taken this month captured 31 percent support for the Republican president among independents. Overall, Trump has a 37 percent approval rating that is buoyed up slightly by Republican voters, who remain loyal to their party leader. A mere nine percent of Republicans told pollsters
MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski bashed President Donald Trump Wednesday, calling him worse than former President Richard Nixon and the “greatest liar that’s ever sat in the white house.” Scarborough played a clip of Brian Karem, executive editor of The Sentinel Newspapers, at Tuesday’s White House briefing challenging Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, saying her criticism of the media was inflaming the American people. Sanders responded at the briefing by citing a debunked Washington Post story stating reporters were not being thorough enough in their critiques of the president. “The greatest irony is that this
Former President Barack Obama and his family wrapped up their five-day vacation on Indonesia´s resort island of Bali and headed to the historic city of Yogyakarta on Wednesday during a nostalgic trip to the country where Obama lived for several years as a child. Obama, his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha drove to a luxury hotel in downtown Yogyakarta after arriving on a private jet at the city´s military airport, said Indonesian air force base commander Air Vice Marshal Novyan Samyoga. The family then went to visit the ninth-century Borobudur Temple in Magelang on Wednesday where they were
Al Gore is ‘an idiot’ who only made his vast fortune just because he happened to get lucky by obsessing about climate change. Possibly we’d all guessed this already. Now it has been confirmed by an expert in the field of finance – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman and fellow investment billionaire Charlie Munger. Munger, who was speaking at an informal investors’ Q & A – recorded here – clearly does not rate Gore’s intelligence or investment acumen. “Al Gore has come into you fellas business, Munger said. “He has made $3 or $400 million in your business. And
