Sources: Fox News Has Decided
Bill O’Reilly Has to Go

The Murdochs have decided Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year run at Fox News will come to an end. According to sources briefed on the discussions, network executives are preparing to announce O’Reilly’s departure before he returns from an Italian vacation on April 24. Now the big questions are how the exit will look and who will replace him. Wednesday morning, according to sources, executives are holding emergency meetings to discuss how they can sever the relationship with the country’s highest-rated cable-news host without causing collateral damage to the network. The board of Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, is scheduled to

Well, that´s it for me and cable. Fox News and Turner Classic Movies is all I watch anyway. TCM is not what it was since Robert Osborne has been gone, and with O´Reilly out then there´s no reason to watch Fox anymore. What a craven bunch of weasels.

Now he has all the credentials for running for a Dem office!

Not a fan of Bill O´Reilly, but I hate that the lefties got his scalp.

And if Fox thinks this shows they have some sort of standards, remember they rehired Bob Beckel and Geraldo, neither of whom are stellar in the character department.

FTA: "Executives are currently debating possible replacement hosts. Names that have been discussed include Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and Tucker Carlson, who would move from his successful 9 p.m. slot and create a need for a new host at that time. One source said Sean Hannity is happy at 10 p.m. and would not want to move."

"Late last week, the feeling inside the company was that Rupert Murdoch would prevail over his son James, who lobbied to jettison the embattled host. It’s still unclear exactly how the tide turned. According to one source, Lachlan Murdoch’s wife helped convince her husband that O’Reilly needed to go, which moved Lachlan into James’s corner."

The Murdoch sons are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. You can already see their imprint on FNC and it is NOT good. I see more and more individuals from Politico than I have ever seen before.

I´m no longer a fan of O´Reilly, that changed years ago when he totally caved to the vile Obama and covered for his transgressions. That said, what happened here is evidence of how powerful those on the left are, including the Murdoch sons. We should all be horrified and very afraid. If they can get rid of Bill O´Reilly, a powerful man and the cash cow of FNC, they can and will destroy anyone. The Democrats are the first to scream about McCarthyism. This is it on steroids. The Democrats specialize in it. They are doing the same with Trump.

Dana Perino should NEVER be allowed to fill that slot. She is weak, irritating and could never carry that show. Tucker should take that slot and move Martha McCallum to 90.

Marie Harf, Ezekial, Shep, Beckel, Juan Williams, Megyn McCain, Geraldo, Dana Perino stay... O´Reilly goes???? Fox is losing their mind. They changed when Trump ran for president & they will never be he same. They are better than abccbsnbccnn but they have room for improvement. I miss the old Fox! #17, actually, the entertainment factor with BOR is his pomposity and bloviating, not to mention his relentless hawking of his books.I first starting watching his show because I was fascinated how he got away with his endless self-promotion. I also agree with him on some of his causes, like the war on Christmas. He is pretty good on illegal immigration, too. The ratings don´t lie. A lot of other people find him entertaining, too.

Don´t have to agree with everything anybody says, including O´Reilly. This is bad news, and no doubt lefties are celebrating their victory. Lately O´Reilly has been riding hard on the leaks, wiretapping, etc., and to shut him up it´s no surprise lefties crawled out from under their rocks. That the Murdoch boys want him out shows what their end game is for FOX -- just another alphabet no-news network. Once FOX´s makeover is done, then what? Tucker is okay, but there´s so much crosstalk and arguing. Perino´s whiny voice grates like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I agree...bad move for FOX and another victory for the Left who will try to ruin anyone they feel has too much power or success. Although I am disheartened by the direction of FOX under the "leadership" of the Murdoch brothers, in some ways it´s a deliberate suicide choice and I won´t be too upset to see their ratings go into the tank.
Why is it the Liberals always point the finger towards the Trump children but you don´t hear one word against the Murdochs, who obviously are in the same situation...grew up and inherited a vast international empire. Then there´s adorable Chelsea, but that´s another story.
As far as 0´Reilly, time will tell regarding the accusations (again, note how the media refused to cover Bill Clinton´s rape charges and are rabid about these allegations?)

A big NO to Perino. No, no no! I don´t think she could carry an hour show night in and night out.
I hope Bill can fight some legal wars with Gloria Allred´s spawn, Lisa Bloom. Those two play dirty and certainly not a good image to their already dubious profession.

The first time BOR was accused of sexual harassment it was settled out of court. You know the one that introduced loufah to American children. I didn´t know if there was anything to it or if it was a move for money. But, another time - and it´s looking like when the floodgates opened up on Tiger Woods - come on. Meanwhile far worse is protected and applauded by Dimmis and many Republicans. We are a herd species and stoopid but organized beats intelligent but fractured every time.

Writer and "Rush Limbaugh Show" guest host Mark Steyn said he would support replacing CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta with Elmo from "Sesame Street." Steyn said Acosta is a prime example of how "Journalist-Americans" have become the "latest hyphenated victim group." Acosta has criticized the White House´s press office for the way it conducts its press briefings. Sometimes, the White House will ban video cameras and only allow audio recorders. He said that CNN´s Russia narrative is akin to "selling a bag that has all the packaging of potato chips, but there are no potato chips inside." Steyn noted

Maddon pledged to make the team visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, “absolutely voluntary.” When asked about the Cubs trip and why they’re going, Maddon said, “A lot of it probably has to do with the fact

NATO allies - excluding the US - will increase defence spending by 4.3% in a victory for Donald Trump after he warned member states that they ´must finally contribute their fair share´. America´s European allies and Canada are projected to spend around $12billion more on defence this year amid pressure from the US President. Trump has repeatedly berated the allies for not doing more to share the defence burden and bluntly told them again at a leaders´ summit in Brussels last month that they could not count on Washington coming to their aid if they did not do their bit.

President Trump and Energy Secretary Rick Perry, together with EPA Secretary Scott Pruitt and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, are doing something with energy independence that was long discussed but never acted upon. Forget the Paris Climate Treaty, this Trump action on energy development is in a stratosphere thought almost unimaginable. Together the entire cabinet has studied, formulated and instituted an executive American energy policy platform to go beyond mere energy independence, and actually start using energy resources as an export commodity for economic growth. Pause for a moment and consider just how monumental that approach actually is; and also overlay

Former President Barack Obama and his family wrapped up their five-day vacation on Indonesia´s resort island of Bali and headed to the historic city of Yogyakarta on Wednesday during a nostalgic trip to the country where Obama lived for several years as a child. Obama, his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha drove to a luxury hotel in downtown Yogyakarta after arriving on a private jet at the city´s military airport, said Indonesian air force base commander Air Vice Marshal Novyan Samyoga. President Trump will have a speaking role when his animatronic statue is added to the Hall of Presidents at Disney, despite a widely-circulated report by Vice that claimed otherwise. “The Vice report is inaccurate,” Jacquee Wahler, the vice president of communications for Walt Disney World Resort, said in a statement sent to Fox News. “As we have stated, President Trump will have a speaking role in the Hall of Presidents like every president since 1993. “We have been working closely with the White House and the president’s recording session has been scheduled,” Wahler added. “We have repeatedly stated that the

The Senate Judiciary Committee will take a hard look at the “unmasking” of Trump campaign and transition officials by the Obama White House at a closed-door hearing Wednesday — pushing an underexplored aspect of the scandal over Russian meddling in the November presidential election. Former National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice and other top officials from the Obama White House have come under suspicion that they inappropriately asked to identify — “unmask” — American citizens caught up in U.S. intelligence intercepts of foreign figures under surveillance in the Russia probe, apparently trying to find out whether Mr. Trump and his

The world has three years to start making significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions or face the prospect of dangerous global warming, experts have warned in an article in the prestigious journal Nature.Calling for world leaders to be guided by the scientific evidence rather than “hide their heads in the sand”, they said “entire ecosystems” were already beginning to collapse, summer sea ice was disappearing in the Arctic and coral reefs were dying from the heat. The world could emit enough carbon to bust the Paris Agreement target of between 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius in anything from four to

Former national security adviser and UN ambassador Susan Rice refuses to go quietly into retirement, even though she remains one of the most controversial figures of the Obama Administration. Now, thanks to a glowing profile in New York Magazine, we know that despite Susan Rice’s very public shortcomings (whatever happened to that dastardly filmmaker who spurred violence across the Middle East, anyway?), she believes any criticism of her tenure is at least partly the result of racism and sexism. When asked why she became a “target” in the Trump Administration, she replied, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about

As former FBI Director James Comey’s best friend, Robert Mueller, stocks his Seinfeld investigation-about-nothing with every Democratic lawyer and Hillary and/or Obama donor he can find, we are treated to the delicious irony of collusion with Russia being confirmed -- and the colluder-in-chief being Ex-president Barack Hussein Obama. Even Obama’s Democrat supporters are now acknowledging he knew about Russia’s hacking of the DNC and Podesta emails. They are acknowledging that he did nothing but are not acknowledging the reason why – that he thought Hillary Clinton was going to succeed him and he wanted to do nothing to offend the

Just days before he resigns from Congress, Rep. Ohio Gov. John Kasich came out against the Senate Republican health care bill Sunday, saying both Republicans and Democrats need to do a better job at helping poor people. “Both parties ought to be worried about poor people, because I don’t think either party particularly cares about helping poor people,” Mr. Kasich, who lost the Republican Party’s presidential nomination to President Trump last year, told CNN’s Dana Bash. “You look at the rates of poverty, the problems in this country,” he continued. “We have not designed a system to get people work. Barack Obama has been pictured visiting the Tirta Empul Temple during his family trip to Bali. The former president, wife Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia, were yesterday pictured white water rafting down the Ayung River, a popular tourist spot on the Indonesian Island. Sen. Bernie Sanders didn’t mince words on Tuesday when asked about the FBI’s investigation into his wife — calling it a “pathetic” and politically motivated attack, spurred by President Trump. “My wife is about the most honest person I know,” the Vermont lawmaker told CNN. “All that I will tell you now is it’s a sad state of affairs in America when not only we have politicians being destroyed… but when you go after people’s wives. That’s pretty pathetic,” he said. Sander’s wife, Jane, is currently in the midst of a federal probe involving a $10 million loan that led

Following CNN’s retraction of a story surrounding the Russia probe and the resignation of three accomplished journalists, a number of conservative commentators took great joy in railing against the network. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to deliver a rant in which he used his favorite description of the outlet — Fake News — rather judiciously. Well, at least one direct competitor came to the network’s defense — MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough. (Tweets) While Scarborough has definitely been on an anti-Trump tilt for a while now, so his comments towards the president aren’t really surprising, his defense of CNN surely

President Donald Trump´s popularity is slacking with independent voters who will make or break his next bid and could hand over control of the legislative branch to Democrats in 2018. Four months ago, in February, four in 10 independents gave Trump positive marks for his performance in office. An NPR survey with Marist and PBS Newshour taken this month captured 31 percent support for the Republican president among independents. Overall, Trump has a 37 percent approval rating that is buoyed up slightly by Republican voters, who remain loyal to their party leader. A mere nine percent of Republicans told pollsters

MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski bashed President Donald Trump Wednesday, calling him worse than former President Richard Nixon and the “greatest liar that’s ever sat in the white house.” Scarborough played a clip of Brian Karem, executive editor of The Sentinel Newspapers, at Tuesday’s White House briefing challenging Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, saying her criticism of the media was inflaming the American people. As the GOP attempts to slash Medicaid and repeal Obamacare in Congress, Sen. Elizabeth Warren is barnstorming her state of Massachusetts, advocating for a single payer system that should, in her mind, be wholly adopted by the Democratic Party. “President Obama tried to move us forward with health-care coverage by using a conservative model that came from one of the conservative think tanks that had been advanced by a Republican governor in Massachusetts,” she told The Wall Street Journal in an interview last week. “Now it’s time for the next step. And the next step is single payer.” Warren, a
