Sources: Fox News Has Decided
Bill O’Reilly Has to Go

The Murdochs have decided Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year run at Fox News will come to an end. According to sources briefed on the discussions, network executives are preparing to announce O’Reilly’s departure before he returns from an Italian vacation on April 24. Now the big questions are how the exit will look and who will replace him. Wednesday morning, according to sources, executives are holding emergency meetings to discuss how they can sever the relationship with the country’s highest-rated cable-news host without causing collateral damage to the network. The board of Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, is scheduled to

Well, that´s it for me and cable. Fox News and Turner Classic Movies is all I watch anyway. TCM is not what it was since Robert Osborne has been gone, and with O´Reilly out then there´s no reason to watch Fox anymore. What a craven bunch of weasels.

Not a fan of Bill O´Reilly, but I hate that the lefties got his scalp.

And if Fox thinks this shows they have some sort of standards, remember they rehired Bob Beckel and Geraldo, neither of whom are stellar in the character department.

FTA: "Executives are currently debating possible replacement hosts. Names that have been discussed include Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and Tucker Carlson, who would move from his successful 9 p.m. slot and create a need for a new host at that time. One source said Sean Hannity is happy at 10 p.m. and would not want to move."

"Late last week, the feeling inside the company was that Rupert Murdoch would prevail over his son James, who lobbied to jettison the embattled host. It’s still unclear exactly how the tide turned. According to one source, Lachlan Murdoch’s wife helped convince her husband that O’Reilly needed to go, which moved Lachlan into James’s corner."

The Murdoch sons are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. You can already see their imprint on FNC and it is NOT good. I see more and more individuals from Politico than I have ever seen before.

I´m no longer a fan of O´Reilly, that changed years ago when he totally caved to the vile Obama and covered for his transgressions. That said, what happened here is evidence of how powerful those on the left are, including the Murdoch sons. We should all be horrified and very afraid. If they can get rid of Bill O´Reilly, a powerful man and the cash cow of FNC, they can and will destroy anyone. The Democrats are the first to scream about McCarthyism. This is it on steroids. The Democrats specialize in it. They are doing the same with Trump.

Dana Perino should NEVER be allowed to fill that slot. She is weak, irritating and could never carry that show. Tucker should take that slot and move Martha McCallum to 90.

Marie Harf, Ezekial, Shep, Beckel, Juan Williams, Megyn McCain, Geraldo, Dana Perino stay... O´Reilly goes???? Fox is losing their mind. They changed when Trump ran for president & they will never be he same. They are better than abccbsnbccnn but they have room for improvement. I miss the old Fox! #17, actually, the entertainment factor with BOR is his pomposity and bloviating, not to mention his relentless hawking of his books.I first starting watching his show because I was fascinated how he got away with his endless self-promotion. I also agree with him on some of his causes, like the war on Christmas. He is pretty good on illegal immigration, too. The ratings don´t lie. A lot of other people find him entertaining, too.

Don´t have to agree with everything anybody says, including O´Reilly. This is bad news, and no doubt lefties are celebrating their victory. Lately O´Reilly has been riding hard on the leaks, wiretapping, etc., and to shut him up it´s no surprise lefties crawled out from under their rocks. That the Murdoch boys want him out shows what their end game is for FOX -- just another alphabet no-news network. Once FOX´s makeover is done, then what? Tucker is okay, but there´s so much crosstalk and arguing. Perino´s whiny voice grates like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I agree...bad move for FOX and another victory for the Left who will try to ruin anyone they feel has too much power or success. Although I am disheartened by the direction of FOX under the "leadership" of the Murdoch brothers, in some ways it´s a deliberate suicide choice and I won´t be too upset to see their ratings go into the tank.
Why is it the Liberals always point the finger towards the Trump children but you don´t hear one word against the Murdochs, who obviously are in the same situation...grew up and inherited a vast international empire. Then there´s adorable Chelsea, but that´s another story.
As far as 0´Reilly, time will tell regarding the accusations (again, note how the media refused to cover Bill Clinton´s rape charges and are rabid about these allegations?)

The first time BOR was accused of sexual harassment it was settled out of court. You know the one that introduced loufah to American children. I didn´t know if there was anything to it or if it was a move for money. But, another time - and it´s looking like when the floodgates opened up on Tiger Woods - come on. I note with sadness that there is the usual rush of Republicans to get in on the latest Dimmi kill. This is akin to zebras hanging back and watching the slaughter after the lions have brought down one of the herd.

Meanwhile far worse is protected and applauded by Dimmis and many Republicans. We are a herd species and stoopid but organized beats intelligent but fractured every time.

Members of the national media are disputing President Trump´s decision to blame the "alt-left" for engaging in acts of violence, and many say there is no such thing even though the term has been used for months. Trump said in a Tuesday press conference that "both sides" bear some of the blame for the violence at a white supremacy rally in Charlottesville, Va., and asked why reporters were ignoring reports that the "alt-left ... came charging at the ... alt-right." Afterward, some journalists and news organizations delved into his use of "alt-left" as though he had coined it on the spot. "Trump

The national debate about the fate of statues honoring Confederate politicians and military officers has reached a new level, with a black lawmakers´ group saying such memorials should be banned from the U.S. Capitol. The former CIA chief––who has been vocal in denouncing the President this year so far––sent his sympathies to Blitzer following the CNN host’s interview with Senator Richard Blumenthal on President Trump‘s Charlottesville reaction. During that interview, Blitzer got personal and talked about how all four of his grandparents were murdered during the Holocaust. Here is the text of the full letter sent to Blitzer: Wolf: Just watched your interview with Senator Blumenthal when you mentioned that you lost

President Trump’s question to reporters on Tuesday about the possibility of tearing down historical monuments has been answered by a Chicago pastor: “It’s time.” Bishop James E. Dukes of Chicago’s Liberation Christian Center made headlines in the Windy City on Wednesday for calling on Mayor Rahm Emanuel to rename Washington Park and remove a statue of the first U.S. president over his ties to slavery. Mr. Dukes told his Facebook flock that “it’s time” after Mr. Trump sparred with reporters over efforts to expunge Civil War-era monuments from existence. “This week it’s Robert E. Lee. I noticed that Stonewall Jackson

A new tip in the Natalee Holloway investigation has led to the discovery of human remains in Aruba, 12 years after the teenager disappeared while vacationing on the tropical island to celebrate her high school graduation. A former roommate of Joran van der Sloot´s best friend told Natalee´s father Dave Holloway that the young woman was buried in a park near her hotel on the island. That man, Gabriel, said van der Sloot disposed of the body with help from his father Paulus after Natalee choked to death on her own vomit soon after she was given a drink that

CNN announced that after ten years, it parted ways this week with its longtime polling firm, ORC International, amid charges of fake news and faulty polls. ORC’s chief marketing officer Ana Mackay-Sim confirmed that CNN “did not renew their polling contract” with ORC International. The polling firm worked with CNN since 2006 and had continued their partnership after the 2016 presidential election until late April. “We are thankful for the opportunity we have had to partner with CNN in the past and wish them well in their future polling work,” Mackay-Sim told Politico. “We have no further comment at this

Here´s a rich one from the news: AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka has loudly announced he´s resigning from the president´s manufacturing council, to protest, of all things, violence. He´s thrown racism, too, in the mix, baselessly accusing President Trump of it, in line with his long history of race-baiting. But the doozy is his newfound sudden aversion to violence. Up until now, violence has always been his stock in trade. I cannot sit on a council for a President that tolerates bigotry and domestic terrorism; I resign, effective immediately. pic.twitter.com/ip6F2nsoog — Richard L. Fox News´s Kat Timpf slammed President Trump on Tuesday for his "disgusting" press conference in which he again blamed "both sides" for the violence that occurred in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend, stepping back from his direct condemnation of white supremacist groups a day earlier. I can’t believe it happened," said Timpf, a co-host of “The Fox News Specialists.” “It is honestly crazy for me to have to comment on this right now because I’m still in the phase where I am wondering if it was actually real life —

President Trump should have left well enough alone. His Monday denunciation of costumed sheet-wearers and Nazi wanna-bes could have cleared the way for Americans of all stripes to focus their outrage on things that matter more than presidential words. That would be the violence that is infecting our politics and the frightening acceptance of it as the new normal. But Trump’s defiance yesterday is sure to keep the media pot boiling over his rhetoric instead of an ominous reality. Namely, that real protestors don’t carry baseball bats, crowbars and mace. Yet Saturday’s bloody clash in Charlottesville showed that many on

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has weighed in on the weekend´s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, castigating Donald Trump without naming him. ´We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis,´ McConnell said in a statement. The choice of words, while careful, appeared to push back against Trump´s claim on Tuesday that some ´very fine people´ were among a crowd of white supremacists who rallied in the college town. A crowd of ignorant protesters pulled down a bronze Confederate statue that stood before a county government building in Durham, North Carolina — the angry national backlash to the Charlottesville brouhaha over the Robert E. Lee monument. This is not how civil societies operate. And yet this is what the left has brought, and now cheers. What’s next — burning books with offensive content? Burning books written by those who used to own slaves? At the very least, museums will have to go. The problem with revising history based on a standard of “feeling offensive” — as this anti-Confederate craze is rooted — is that someone,

In Gainesville, Florida, workers hired by the Daughters of the Confederacy chipped away at a Confederate soldier´s statue, loaded it quietly on a truck and drove away with little fanfare. In Baltimore, Mayor Catherine Pugh said she´s ready to tear down all of her city´s Confederate statues, and the city council voted to have them destroyed.
