Sources: Fox News Has Decided
Bill O’Reilly Has to Go

The Murdochs have decided Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year run at Fox News will come to an end. According to sources briefed on the discussions, network executives are preparing to announce O’Reilly’s departure before he returns from an Italian vacation on April 24. Now the big questions are how the exit will look and who will replace him. Wednesday morning, according to sources, executives are holding emergency meetings to discuss how they can sever the relationship with the country’s highest-rated cable-news host without causing collateral damage to the network. The board of Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, is scheduled to

Well, that´s it for me and cable. Fox News and Turner Classic Movies is all I watch anyway. TCM is not what it was since Robert Osborne has been gone, and with O´Reilly out then there´s no reason to watch Fox anymore. What a craven bunch of weasels.

Not a fan of Bill O´Reilly, but I hate that the lefties got his scalp.

And if Fox thinks this shows they have some sort of standards, remember they rehired Bob Beckel and Geraldo, neither of whom are stellar in the character department.

FTA: "Executives are currently debating possible replacement hosts. Names that have been discussed include Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and Tucker Carlson, who would move from his successful 9 p.m. slot and create a need for a new host at that time. One source said Sean Hannity is happy at 10 p.m. and would not want to move."

"Late last week, the feeling inside the company was that Rupert Murdoch would prevail over his son James, who lobbied to jettison the embattled host. It’s still unclear exactly how the tide turned. According to one source, Lachlan Murdoch’s wife helped convince her husband that O’Reilly needed to go, which moved Lachlan into James’s corner."

The Murdoch sons are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. You can already see their imprint on FNC and it is NOT good. I see more and more individuals from Politico than I have ever seen before.

I´m no longer a fan of O´Reilly, that changed years ago when he totally caved to the vile Obama and covered for his transgressions. That said, what happened here is evidence of how powerful those on the left are, including the Murdoch sons. We should all be horrified and very afraid. If they can get rid of Bill O´Reilly, a powerful man and the cash cow of FNC, they can and will destroy anyone. The Democrats are the first to scream about McCarthyism. This is it on steroids. The Democrats specialize in it. They are doing the same with Trump.

Dana Perino should NEVER be allowed to fill that slot. She is weak, irritating and could never carry that show. Tucker should take that slot and move Martha McCallum to 90.

Marie Harf, Ezekial, Shep, Beckel, Juan Williams, Megyn McCain, Geraldo, Dana Perino stay... O´Reilly goes???? Fox is losing their mind. They changed when Trump ran for president & they will never be he same. They are better than abccbsnbccnn but they have room for improvement. I miss the old Fox! #17, actually, the entertainment factor with BOR is his pomposity and bloviating, not to mention his relentless hawking of his books.I first starting watching his show because I was fascinated how he got away with his endless self-promotion. I also agree with him on some of his causes, like the war on Christmas. He is pretty good on illegal immigration, too. The ratings don´t lie. A lot of other people find him entertaining, too.

Don´t have to agree with everything anybody says, including O´Reilly. This is bad news, and no doubt lefties are celebrating their victory. Lately O´Reilly has been riding hard on the leaks, wiretapping, etc., and to shut him up it´s no surprise lefties crawled out from under their rocks. That the Murdoch boys want him out shows what their end game is for FOX -- just another alphabet no-news network. Once FOX´s makeover is done, then what? Tucker is okay, but there´s so much crosstalk and arguing. Perino´s whiny voice grates like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I agree...bad move for FOX and another victory for the Left who will try to ruin anyone they feel has too much power or success. Although I am disheartened by the direction of FOX under the "leadership" of the Murdoch brothers, in some ways it´s a deliberate suicide choice and I won´t be too upset to see their ratings go into the tank.
Why is it the Liberals always point the finger towards the Trump children but you don´t hear one word against the Murdochs, who obviously are in the same situation...grew up and inherited a vast international empire. Then there´s adorable Chelsea, but that´s another story.
As far as 0´Reilly, time will tell regarding the accusations (again, note how the media refused to cover Bill Clinton´s rape charges and are rabid about these allegations?)

The first time BOR was accused of sexual harassment it was settled out of court. You know the one that introduced loufah to American children. I didn´t know if there was anything to it or if it was a move for money. But, another time - and it´s looking like when the floodgates opened up on Tiger Woods - come on. I note with sadness that there is the usual rush of Republicans to get in on the latest Dimmi kill. This is akin to zebras hanging back and watching the slaughter after the lions have brought down one of the herd.

Meanwhile far worse is protected and applauded by Dimmis and many Republicans. We are a herd species and stoopid but organized beats intelligent but fractured every time.

The $30,000 fee Northeastern Illinois University was going to pay former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett was just the latest in a series of big fees the financially troubled state school has paid to snag prominent graduation speakers, records show. Despite its money troubles — a Wall Street credit agency just dropped Northeastern deeper into “junk-bond” status — the state university has handed out five-figure fees to each of the speakers at its May commencement events the past four years. That’s in sharp contrast to what’s done at other state schools, also facing tight-money times, including the three University of

WASHINGTON — Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says that it´s absolutely possible for someone to be a member of the Democratic Party and also be against abortion. "Of course," she told Chuck Todd when asked on Sunday´s "Meet The Press." "I have served many years in Congress with members who have not shared my very positive — my family would say aggressive — position on promoting a woman´s right to choose." Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez and Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders received backlash this week from pro-choice groups since they scheduled a rally with a mayoral candidate in

The little tent of the Democratic Party just got smaller, as DNC chairman Tom Perez has called for all Democrats to walk in lockstep with Planned Parenthood on the question of abortion rights, effectively ruling out the possibility of “pro-life Democrats.” “Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,” Perez said in a statement. “That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state.” “At a time when women’s rights are under assault from the White House, the Republican Congress, and in

Sixty-seven percent of Americans say the Democratic Party is out of touch with their concerns — that’s more than those who think the Republican Party or President Trump are out of touch with most Americans’ concerns, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll. The national poll found that 62 percent of respondents feel the Republican Party is out of touch with most Americans’ concerns, while 58 percent view President Trump as out of touch. ABC News notes that in March 2014, 48 percent said the Democrats were out of touch with most Americans’ concerns. Three years later, 67 percent of

A new Washington Post poll that declares President Trump as "the least popular president in modern times," waits until the second to last paragraph to reveal another tidbit: He´d still beat Hillary Rodham Clinton if the election were held today and in the popular vote, not just Electoral College. The poll found that Trump´s polls continue to be upside down, with a 42 percent approval and 53 percent disapproval. (Photo) Also unchanged: His base still likes him. It´s not until the second to last paragraph of the long story that it´s shown Clinton would still lose to the president, despite

New details are emerging about the FBI’s arrangement with the former British spy who compiled the infamous opposition research dossier on Donald Trump. According to The New York Times, FBI agents met in early October with the former spy, Christopher Steele, to discuss his future work on the dossier. Steele had started compiling research in June on Trump’s potential ties to Russia. He was working for Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm that was a client of an ally of Hillary Clinton’s. The Times reports that Steele and the FBI settled on a $50,000 payout if the ex-MI6 agent could

Former President Barack Obama may not be making an endorsement in France´s upcoming presidential election, but his former deputy national security adviser is warning that a win for right-wing leader Marine Le Pen would be "devastating." "A Le Pen victory would be devastating to any mainstream definition of US interests and values since WWII," Ben Rhodes said in a tweet Saturday. (Tweet) Rhodes´ warning is quite a bit more drastic than the measured statement former President Barack Obama´s spokesman put out last week about his conversation with another French candidate, Emmanuel Macron. The Obamas have been taking a much-deserved break from politics since moving out of the White House. But next week, it´s back to reality. President Barack Obama will be in Chicago on Monday to discuss community organization and civic engagement. As we all know, the Obamas have impeccable taste in food, so it wouldn´t be surprising to see the former president surveying the Chicago dining scene when he returns stateside. Will he visit the renowned Alinea? Or return to an old Obama favorite, Spiaggia? Last September, my husband and I had a chance run-in with Barack and Michelle, who were in New York City for their last visit as

A review of Donald Trump´s business career would lead one to say that he has always over-promised and under-delivered. Whether his long list of bankruptcies in the ever-profitable casino business, the failures of his "university,´ steak, vodka or clothing lines, there has been a history of putting himself first, while ignoring the needs of his constituents. We may be seeing that play out in his approach to government, as well. As in business, Trump has a constituency of one … himself … just ask his stock and bond investors, his suppliers, contractors, laborers, or even his customers. Unlike Trump, they rarely,

American Airlines suspended a flight attendant after an altercation on Friday in which the attendant took a stroller from a woman traveling with two young children and then argued with other passengers. The episode was captured, in part, on video. The encounter, at San Francisco International Airport, occurred while the woman was boarding a Texas-bound flight. The attendant, whose name was not released by the airline, grabbed the stroller from the woman, who was carrying 15-month-old twins, a passenger who was nearby said.

Outraged Muslims are reportedly planning a May 1 demonstration at the Amazon headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The company is under fire after several Muslim security guards demanded time and space to pray five times a day, while on the job. The guards contend in a lawsuit filed this week that the subcontractor who employs them does not appropriately accommodate their faith and retaliates against those who speak out. The Service Employees International Union and the guards allege that Amazon grants high-earning tech workers conference rooms to pray in, but they do not provide the same accommodation for contracted security officers

WASHINGTON — The day before he upended the 2016 election, James B. Comey, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, summoned agents and lawyers to his conference room. They had been debating all day, and it was time for a decision. Mr. Comey’s plan was to tell Congress that the F.B.I. had received new evidence and was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton, the presidential front-runner. The move would violate the policies of an agency that does not reveal its investigations or do anything that may influence an election. But Mr. Comey had declared the case closed, and he believed

The September 2016 article in Politico championing Hillary Clinton’s use of "data analytics" now looks—how shall we put it?—rather premature. Politico swooned that computer algorithms "underlie nearly all of the Clinton campaign´s most important strategic decisions." Computer guru Elan Kriegel had crunched the numbers for campaign manager Robby Mook, allowing Team Clinton to precisely target her potential voters and thus not waste one dime on appealing to the deplorables. "Clintonites saw it as their secret weapon in building an insurmountable delegate lead over Bernie Sanders," Politico reported. And come the general election the Clintonistas were downright giddy about the edge Big Data

This week’s edition of Time Magazine named former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to its list of the 100 Most Influential People. The list breaks down the chosen 100 into five categories: Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Titans, and Icons. Kaepernick appears in the Icons group. In the Time Magazine profile, former SF 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh praised the controversial quarterback’s protest last year of the Star Spangled Banner, “when he boldly and courageously confronted perceived inequalities in our social-justice system by refusing to stand for the national anthem.” Harbaugh made no mention of Kaepernick’s penchant for wearing socks denigrating law

The Trump administration put nine of the country’s top sanctuary cities on notice Friday that they could soon have to give up some federal funds unless they can prove they are no longer thwarting Homeland Security’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants. The entire state of California is being targeted, as are the cities of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cook County in Illinois and Miami-Dade County in Florida round out the list.
