Meals on Wheels Program Will Not
Be Eliminated by Federal Budget

Washington Free Beacon, by Andrew Kugle

Various media outlets have published articles claiming that the Trump administration´s federal budget will eliminate funding for the Meals on Wheels program, whose volunteer drivers deliver hot meals to senior Americans across the country. But the federal budget is cutting funds to a federal grant program that provides just three percent of the Meals on Wheels revenue budget, and the program will still receive significant federal funding. Articles like the Hill´s "Trump proposed budget eliminates funds for Meals on Wheels," or the Huffington Post´s, "#LetThemDie: ‘Heartless’ Donald Trump Blasted For Slashing Meals On Wheels Funds," have been shared thousands of

I knew this last week, (link below) but that didn´t change even FNC from making outrageous, erroneous comments about this. Chris Wallace and Eric Shawn but were guilty of that. Shawn has been very good on reporting on voter fraud. He should know better than that. Those of us here are very well informed, but the huge number of people who are not is terrifying. The lies and fraud in the media is terribly disturbing. I don´t know how we survive as a nation when practically all you get is propaganda.

You also realize that this will be the first actual budget by appropriations in nearly 10 years.

And, any consideration of a reduction in spending increase from what Democrats "want" will be considered a cut.

So, if they want 8% increase and only get 6% increase it´s a catastrophe, in the minds of democrats.

Republicans need to call them on this "fake cuts" and make them provide proof.

For some reason the sheer amount of lies and propaganda today is depressing me. That rat Comey comes out and says there is zero evidence that the Russians had anything to do with the election but all the headlines choose to feature, is no wiretapping. Then so much hate on all the left wing websites comment sections. It is like a huge lies and hate fest and it is getting to me.

I used to rent a room from an elderly person who received the meals on wheels every day. His refrigerator was filled with them. I asked why they didn´t get eaten, and he said because they are disgusting, tasteless and nasty. Most of the time he fed the small portion of meat to his dog, kept the tiny carton of milk for his coffee, and the rest ended up in the trash after turning into a mold experiment. A total waste of money due to inedible food.

In central Indiana, Meals on Wheels requires a doctor´s prescription to even start the process.

Then there´s a $5 application fee, and an initial $60 payment to cover the first 2 weeks of deliveries. With $30 per week after that.

What´s the need for government subsidy after private charitable donations and user fees are taken into account??

I think that for $30 a week, I could feed myself pretty well. What is the purpose of Meals on Wheels anyway? Is it for the indigent? Or for those who cannot get to the grocery store? Or those unab le to cook for themselves?

The House and Senate intelligence committees are expanding their investigation into the so-called “unmasking” controversy, Fox News has learned, to examine whether other candidates or lawmakers beyond President Trump’s associates were affected. (Snip) House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now plans to audit files from the National Security Agency and White House to determine whether identities and conversations of presidential candidates -- or members of Congress -- also were swept up during NSA surveillance of foreign leaders. He also plans to review whether Obama’s National Security Council and White House counsel collected and distributed the intelligence for reasons unrelated

President Trump will not name China a currency manipulator this year, despite repeated campaign promises to do so on his first day in office. Trump told the Wall Street Journal Wednesday that he will not officially name China a currency manipulator in a forthcoming report because the country, he said, hasn´t recently been artificially manipulating the yuan and because doing so would hurt the U.S. in negotiating with China over North Korea. "They´re not currency manipulators," Trump said. Trump had laid out the case that China is a currency manipulator and pledged to take action against the communist nation in a fall

Republican lawmakers made their first official inquiry into opening an investigation of reports the Obama administration’s national security adviser and others “unmasked” several Trump campaign officials swept up in U.S. surveillance operations against foreign targets during last year’s presidential election campaign. “The astonishing reports that senior White House officials in the Obama Administration, most notably then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice, may have abused their powers of office to violate the 4th Amendment protections by ‘unmasking’ the identities of U.S. citizens involved with the Donald J. Trump presidential campaign in intelligence reports gives great cause for concern,” stated a letter Rep.

Hillary Clinton is enjoying retirement. Really enjoying retirement. I mean, really enjoying retirement. Or, at least, that’s what Hillary Clinton wants you to think. Over the past week, since she’s crawled out from the woods near her Chappaqua home to rejoin society, Clinton has been so visible, you almost forget she suffered a major electoral defeat just a few short months ago, and is now forced to watch while her opponent, a real estate mogul turned reality television star turned politician, handles the job she wanted. Clinton lost the election, we now know, largely because she was unable to convince Rust Belt voters

The rule wasn´t a part of Cuomo´s free college tuition proposal when he unveiled it in January but was inserted during final negotiations with lawmakers over the state budget, which was approved Sunday. Among voters in the Palmetto State, the poll found Graham had a 40 percent disapproval rate and a 46 percent approval rate. Fourteen percent of the state’s residents voiced no opinion. Susan Rice is a liar and that’s the truth. What’s amazing is that it has taken years for the major media to admit it, despite epic evidence. Even journalists have a breaking point -- in this case, false statements about deadly chemical weapons. Rice’s lies have angered conservatives for years. Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer nicknamed the former national security adviser the “liar in chief,” according to The Blaze. It’s hard to find examples of worse decision-making and customer treatment than United Airlines having a passenger dragged from an overbooked plane. Fearns, 59, is president of TriPacific Capital Advisors, an Irvine investment firm that handles more than half a billion dollars in real estate holdings on behalf of public pension funds. He had to fly to Hawaii last week for a business conference. Fearns needed to return early so he paid about $1,000 for a full-fare, first-class ticket to Los Angeles. He boarded the
