Supreme Court refuses to dismiss
Menendez corruption charges

Politico, by John Bresnahan

The Supreme Court has rejected Sen. Bob Menendez´s attempt to throw out the bribery and corruption charges against him, setting the stage for a trial for the New Jersey Democrat this fall. With Monday´s announcement, Menendez can no longer block the proceedings against him from moving forward, a major setback for his efforts to avoid criminal trial. Abbe Lowell, Menendez´s lead defense attorney, said the Supreme Court´s decision not to hear the appeal was "disappointing," but still said Menendez will be "vindicated when all the facts are heard at trial." "It´s disappointing that the Supreme Court did not take this opportunity to set

Isn´t it funny that Menendez and his attorney are bringing up separation of powers as a concern. What BS. Didn´t hear that argument when they were looking into Sen Stevens.

Good old Abbe Lowell. I guess Menendez knows what kind of trouble he is up against.:

"Lowell has defended political figures including John Edwards,[7] Jim Wright, Dan Rostenkowski, Charles Keating,[8] and Gary Condit[9] former Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons,[10] U.S. Rep. Joseph McDade[11] and lobbyist Jack Abramoff."

He keeps great company.
Also minority attorney in Clintons impeachment.

The irony of this is if Menencez is convicted and removed from offfice, his replacement will be worse.
It is, after all, New Jersey.

Texas is estimated to have more than 1 million illegal aliens, according to the Migration Policy Institute. During today’s final legislative session a group of angry protesters calling themselves illegal aliens attempted to disrupt the session by shouting, chanting and blowing whistles. The issue they were protesting is a new law known as “SB4” or the anti-Sanctuary City Law, where Texas police chiefs and sheriffs are required to comply with federal requests to hold criminal suspects for possible deportation. In response to the disruption, the Texas House leadership stopped the session and asked state troopers to clear the gallery. According to

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly appears on Fox News Sunday for an interview with swamp gatekeeper Chris Wallace. Wallace began the interview in his customary insufferable fashion trying to bait Kelly into the vast ‘muh Russian’ conspiracy story and Jared Kushner. Secretary Kelly did a great job outlining how Jared Kushner setting up channels of communication with anyone, including Russians, is a nothingburger. Wallace reluctantly was forced to move on… Secretary Kelly went on to outline the status of the U.S. terror threats. Yikes. (Video)

Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is at the root of the European Union’s most terrible policies, both financial and social. However, her life-skills within EU politics have refined her instincts at playing the wounded indian routine to avoid responsibility in the aftermath of the consequences. In addition Merkel points the finger at others never taking ownership of the catastrophic outcomes from her expressed socialist and left-wing multicultural policies. The economic migrants from the Mid-East and North Africa flooding the EU are the most visible example. The conversations at the most recent G7 summit displayed an intensely smart and strategic approach by U.S.

Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world. The growth and regional migration of Muslims, combined with the ongoing impact of the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL) and other extremist groups that commit acts of violence in the name of Islam, have brought Muslims and the Islamic faith to the forefront of the political debate in many countries. Yet many facts about Muslims are not well known in some of these places, and most Americans – who live in a country with a relatively small Muslim population – say they know little or nothing about Islam.

That’s because America contributes so much to rising temperatures. President Donald Trump, who once proclaimed global warming a Chinese hoax, said in a tweet Saturday that he would make his “final decision” this coming week on whether the United States stays in or leaves the 2015 Paris climate change accord in which nearly every nation agreed to curb its greenhouse gas emissions. Hillary Clinton’s inner circle is concerned that the “resistance” that cropped up in the wake of President Donald Trump’s electoral win isn’t embracing the failed Democratic Presidential candidate as their de facto leader. As of late, Hillary has taken to marketing herself as the leader of the anti-Trump resistance, Tweeting about her defeat, haranguing Trump in public appearances and “persisting” despite her loss. It’s clear from Clinton’s Twitter feed, paid speeches, and comments that she wants to lead the mostly female opposition to Trump’s policy agenda. It’s pile-on time for America’s commercial airlines. The contempt people hold for them has long been severe, but following a raft of highly publicized incidents, resentment has hit a fever pitch. It started about a month ago, with the forced removal of a passenger onboard a United Express flight. This was followed by several more airlines-behaving-badly controversies, up to and including the death of Simon, a giant rabbit who perished after a London-to-Chicago United flight. Over and over we are reminded about the hellishness that is commercial flying. Enabled by cellphone cameras and the catalyst of social media, even the most

Bell also serves up some historical distortions of the sort spoonfed to undergraduates on politically-correct campuses, such as the claim that Islam has always been present in the U.S. “Islam has always been part of the American fabric,” one Muslim man in Detroit tells Bell at an anti-Trump event. “A lot of people think that Islam is from a foreign country,
