Senator Marco Rubio exited the confirmation hearing for Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State nominee and, important to note – RUSHED TO CNN, to tell media he was “uncertain” and “doubtful” if he’d support Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State. Moments earlier Senator Marco Rubio engaged in the following questioning of T-Rex: (Video)Important to remember, Marco Rubio openly supported John Kerry and voted yes on his confirmation. While I shall never be accused of defending Vladimir Putin, factually, the assertion of who was/is the enemy in Syria -and as a consequence who was/is attacking whom- was/is entirely false. As repeatedly evidenced
Comments: Arrogant, ignorant and dead wrong are a bad combination.
If you were the President of Russia or other high ranking functionary of the Russian Government would you negotiate with a US Secretary of State who defined you as a "War Criminal" from the get-go?
Rubio has to know that, so you have to figure that he was out to wound Tellerson and by extension Trump in their efforts at diplomacy with Russia. What is Rubio´s reason for doing that as his State voted for Trump, and you would think that as a Republican Senator that Rubio would want to give Tillerson and Trump a chance to succeed and not cripple their efforts at diplomacy with Russia from the get-go. So is Rubio just exacting revenge because Trump called him "Little Marco" and blew him out of the water during the campaign?
Little Marco was being a total horse´s hind end today. It was embarrassing to watch as that fool tried to get the SecStat designate to say stuff which, regardless of truth, are NOT helpful in diplomatic circles to just blurt out with no point to be made.
Rubio cut his foreign policy chops on Cubazuela. He follows those affairs closely.
Nobody has had more direct dealings with Hugo Chavez in all his vileness than Rex Tillerson. Unlike other corporate executives, T-Rex didn´t take Chavez´s piracy and contract stiffing lying down. He made life hell for the Venezuelan dictator, standing alone. Yet Rubio failed to ask a single question of Tillerson about Venezuela.
Why? Because it would have shown all Americans what a badass against filthy socialist dictators really is.
Why did Rubio fail to ask?
I think he´s being controlled by someone - who wants Tillerson scuppered. Would explain his stupid embarrassing stance about ´doing the right thing´ and voting Tillerson down.
If Rubes thinks trying to derail Trump will springboard him for 2020,he seriously needs to change his meds. This country has a lot of problems to solve and can´t stand being distracted by all these big egos on Cap.Hill.But by far Booker has to be the worse so far.The second coming of Obama will never happen. This country has learned it´s lesson on left wing minorities.Guess what, there will be a lot less illegals voting in 2020.
A handful of mayors told Attorney General Jeff Sessions Tuesday what they told Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly last month: that they are not breaking federal law by imposing "sanctuary" policies aimed at protecting illegal immigrants. Mayor Jorge Elorza of Providence told reporters after an hour-long meeting at the Department of Justice that Sessions told them a sanctuary city would be defined as one that violates federal statute 8 U.S.C. 1373. He said if that is the definition, "then there are no sanctuary cities" in the United States. Section 1373 mandates that "a federal, state, or local government entity or official may
*Last week Vice President Mike Pence visited Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia and Australia. One of the primary topics was North Korea. *Yesterday (April 23rd), President Trump followed up on Pence’s visit with personal phone calls to China’s President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe; again, the topic was North Korea: “The two leaders reaffirmed the urgency of the threat posed by North Korea’s missile and nuclear programs, and committed to strengthen coordination in achieving the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.” (link) *Today (April 24th), U.N. SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A Tennessee teacher charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old student and driving her to California had planned to take the girl to Mexico and took a boat from San Diego on a test run, according to federal court documents filed Monday. Authorities credit the caretaker of a remote northern California property for helping police find the girl, Elizabeth Thomas, Thursday and arrest her alleged abductor, fired teacher Tad Cummins. She has returned home and is being treated by a team of therapists.
President Trump called for a review of the last 20 years of land grabs by Presidents Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama. GOOD. Let me explain. Presidents use executive orders to declare large patches of lands of limits to development, by designating them as memorials and the like. For example, Barack Obama declared 1.35 million acres of Utah off limits last December because it is allegedly is an area sacred to a few Indians. No hearing. No vote by our representatives in Congress. ust a lame-duck president with a pen deciding the fate of an area larger than Rhode Island. That is not who we are. That
When Washington foisted the North American Free Trade Agreement upon the nation, the politicians and fronts for big business assured us there were protections in the pact. Nearly a quarter century later, President Trump is using those protections. From the Wall Street Journal: The Trump administration is taking retaliatory action against Canada over a trade dispute, moving to impose a 20% tariff on softwood lumber that is typically used to build single-family homes. In an interview Monday, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the tariff will be applied retroactively and imposed on Canadian exports to the U.S. of about $5 billion Error in headline at source corrected by Staff.
David Kord Murray, the owner of a small business-finance company in California, admits he likes to be different — “to take the contrary position.” Yet even he is surprised to have reached his latest conclusion — that while he strongly supported Hillary Clinton during the campaign, and voted for her without reservation, he now wishes he had cast that vote for Donald Trump. “I like what he’s doing, and I wish I had voted for him,” he says. Not having supported Trump sooner, he says, makes him “feel like a coward.” A lot has been written since Election Day about people who
How do you get congress to accept the NAFTA notification of intent letter? Why, you backstop the Canadian decision to undermine U.S. dairy farm exports by applying equity import tariffs and offsetting losses to U.S. manufacturers.First stop, lumber mills. ie U.S. regional impacts, not coincidentally, represented by key Democrat constituents. The congressional delegations from Washington State and Oregon happen to be mostly elected Democrats; and they happen to applaud the efforts; which means they are not able to criticize the approach. Hmm, it’s almost as if Wilburine and POTUS had a strategy or something. Nah, couldn’t be. (Via CNN) These are the
Funny call readout from Secretary Tillerson’s office today. The last paragraph is extraordinarily blunt (emphasis mine):[Dept. of State] Secretary Tillerson phoned Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko today to discuss his recent trip to Moscow and his message to the Russian leadership that, although the United States is interested in improving relations with Russia, Russia’s actions in eastern Ukraine remain an obstacle. (Snip)Secretary Tillerson reiterated the United States’ firm commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and confirmed that sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control of the Crimean peninsula to Ukraine and fully implements its commitments in the Minsk
(Video)The United States on Monday blacklisted 271 employees of a Syrian government agency it said was responsible for developing chemical weapons, weeks after a poison gas attack killed scores of people in a rebel-held province in Syria. The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned 271 employees of Syria´s Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC), an agency that Washington says develops chemical weapons for the government of Bashar al-Assad, the Treasury said in a statement. Some of the people blacklisted had worked on Syria´s chemical weapons program for more than five years, the Treasury Department said. The sanction orders U.S. banks to freeze the assets
The collective EU, and every like-minded multi-cultural entity within leftist media together with the Obama globalist operatives, are now laying a path of rose petals for their wunderkind Emmanuel Macron. If you seek a reference point for the narrative over the next two weeks simply remind yourself how Barack Obama was elected in 2008. It will be an absolutely identical playbook. Emmanuel Macron, a 39-year-old who has never held elected office and is married to his former grade school teacher (24-years his elder), is being heralded as the second coming of the halo-clad unicorn-riding progressive lightbringer Emperor Obama as Macron
Bill O’Reilly will return to the airwaves six days after his departure from Fox News with a new podcast episode set to air Monday on his website. O’Reilly’s “No Spin News” will air Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Eastern, according to a promotional graphic posted to his website Sunday. The episode will mark a return for the popular news host just six days after his departure from Fox News, where he hosted the perennially top-rated O’Reilly Factor for two decades. O’Reilly exited last week after an investigation into five sexual harassment allegations leveled against him during his tenure at the network. In a
On Friday, the Trump administration asked Obama’s pro-gun control Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, to resign. Murthy was confirmed to the position of Surgeon General on December 15, 2014. The lead-up to the confirmation vote on Murthy focused on his “political activism,” particularly his positions on gun control. Opposition from the NRA and other gun rights groups — together with Republican opposition — actually made it difficult to predict whether Murthy could be confirmed. In fact, he was so pro-gun control that Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), a red state Democratic proponent of gun control, refused to vote for him.
Barack Obama has agreed to a $400,000 fee for speaking to a prominent Wall Street firm, according to Charlie Gasparino of the Fox Business Network. Former president Obama will speak to a health care conference sponsored by Cantor Fitzgerald in September, Gasparino reports. (Tweet/Video) The huge fee puts Obama at the top of the list of speaking fees for former government officials. Former Fed chair Ben Bernanke charges between $200,000 and $400,000, former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner charges $200,000, and former President George Bush charges around $150,000, according to a person familiar with the matter. Hillary Clinton received over $200,000
SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge in San Francisco has blocked a Trump administration order to withhold funding from communities that limit cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the temporary ruling Tuesday in a lawsuit over the executive order targeting so-called sanctuary cities. The decision will stay in place while the lawsuit moves through court. The Republican president’s administration and two California governments that sued over the order disagreed about its scope. San Francisco and Santa Clara County argued that it threatened billions of dollars in federal funding. But an attorney for the Justice Department,
Monday on MSNBC former Obama White House press secretary Josh Earnest said former President Barack Obama would come back to the political debate if President Donald Trump crosses “red lines” such as using information from deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) applications to deport so-called DREAMers. (Snip) “I think what would motivate President Obama to re-engage in the political debate is if we saw the federal government start to cross some clear red lines in terms of long observed norms and values that frankly I think we have started to take for granted. One example that President Obama has himself
Sean Hannity is the latest Fox News personality facing allegations of sexual harassment. During a Friday interview with Tulsa, Oklahoma-based radio host Pat Campbell, former Fox News contributor Debbie Schlussel accused Hannity of inviting her to his hotel room before and after a debate with a pro-Palestinian guest in Detroit. Schlussel said she rejected Hannity’s alleged advances and that she was never invited on his show again. Schlussel and Hannity were scheduled to speak together at the Detroit show, Schlussel said. But before the show, Hannity allegedly invited her to an event at a nearby bookstore. “He had some event at a bookstore
The entire U.S. Senate has been invited to the White House for a briefing Wednesday on the North Korea situation, amid escalating tensions over the country’s missile tests and bellicose rhetoric. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed the upcoming briefing, for all 100 senators, on Monday. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats plan to provide the update to lawmakers. It is rare for the entire Senate to be invited to such a briefing. Spicer clarified that while the event will
Former President Barack Obama on Monday partly blamed the nation´s splintered politics on a media structure that lets people only listen to or read media outlets they agree with, which prevents them from hearing the other side. "Because of changes in the media, we now have a situation in which everybody is listening to people who already agree with them, and are further and further reinforcing their own realities to the neglect of the common reality that allows us to have a healthy debate, and then try to find common ground and actually move solutions forward," Obama said in his
Ex-President Barack Obama is the mystery man of American politics. Given the absence of a viable paper trail, nobody can say for sure who he is. He manifests for us as a figure of multiple identities: a Christian, a Muslim, a secularist, a socialist, a humanist, an intellectual, a man of the people. His lack of definable substance, his inner absence, has been an important political advantage. As Obama himself confessed (or boasted) in The Audacity of Hope, this layering of anonymities enabled him to “serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—I’m loving all these Ancestry.com commercials where dim-witted actors say, “I thought I was a Tahitian Eskimo Mexican until I sent in my DNA test kit, and boy was I flummoxed when the results came back! I’m really Croatian with a mix of sub-Saharan! I guess I’ll be turning in my furry hat!” This is a scam I’m thoroughly in favor of, because it reveals, once and for all, the dirty secret of American politics: Race doesn’t exist! Don’t get me wrong. I don’t believe for a second that these tests mean anything. If you believe that DNA patterns
It was a message repeated several times at a Democrat news conference Tuesday afternoon: Republicans, agree with us on a spending bill, or we’ll blame you for shutting down the government. And it appears that Republicans, who control all three branches of government, are listening: “Now last night, we received a bit of good news -- not just for Democrats but for the country – that the president is easing off his demands for a border wall in the government funding bill,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told the news conference. “The money is better used elsewhere,” Schumer said. “If the
Liberal activist and Hollywood director Rob Reiner slammed President Donald Trump on Monday and suggested that Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election was the "greatest attack" on American democracy since Japan´s attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. "We´ve had the greatest attack of this democracy since 1941, and we have to understand that," Reiner said on MSNBC. Reiner also suggested that American society might collapse given the pressure Russia placed on democratic institutions in the country. Japan drew the United States into World War II after attacking its naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941, killing
A group of executives who want to fight global warming has published a new report calling for countries to spend up to $600 billion a year over the next two decades to boost green energy deployment and energy efficiency equipment. [SNIP] To meet that goal ETC claims the world needs “investment in renewables and other low-carbon technologies some $6 trillion higher ($300 billion per year); while the largest required increases – of almost $9 trillion ($450 billion per year) – will be in more efficient energy saving equipment and buildings.” That’s a $15 trillion price tag to theoretically limit future
Debbie Schlussel, a former Fox News guest, appeared on a local radio show on Friday and recounted an incident where Sean Hannity purportedly asked her to a hotel, and when she rebuffed his advances, she claims, she was ostracized by the network star. (Snip) Now, in an interview with LawNewz.com on Monday morning, Schlussel is denying that she was ever sexually harassed by Sean Hannity. While Schlussel stands by her description of the incident, Schlussel told us that she doesn’t believe what happened between the two amounted to sexual harassment by any legal definition. “I would never accuse him of that.
