Obama decides to break away
from biking and golfing at Martha´s
Vineyard to get back to Washington
in rare vacation break

President Barack Obama is getting off the island. In a rare move for him, the president planned a break in the middle of his Martha´s Vineyard vacation to return to Washington on Sunday night for meetings with Vice President Joe Biden and other advisers on the U.S. military campaign in Iraq and tensions between police and protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. The White House has been cagey about why the president needs to be back in Washington for those discussions. He´s received multiple briefings on both issues while on vacation. The White House had also already announced Obama´s plans to return

One he wants to get away from Michelle, can´t blame him. Two it´s all about optics. It won´t do him any good. No one cares about him any more. He´s President in name only.

As speculated before:

To get Bo, and that other dog they bought.

To pick up Sasha from camp.
To get away from wife
To get away from mother in law
To get his weekly medical treatment.

To pick up more choom, etc

And this was necessary because, why?

There is no such thing as Skype? Barry is actually a president who cares about, well, anything? Joe Biden isn´t borderline retarded so his face to face input is relevant?

No, I´d say Zippy can´t wait to get the heck away from the Mooch, the ten minutes he spent with the daughters exhausted him, and Reggie Love awaits in the Oval Office with a blue dress and a cigar.

Leave it to the Associated Press to shade a headline dishonestly. The headline reads: "...(T)o get back to Washington in rare vacation break." It should read: "...(T)o get back to Washington in rare break from vacation." See? I´ve never seen a president more averse to work. All he seems to do is play and party.

Unreal....

He also called foreign leaders to discuss the tensions between Ukraine and Russia, as well as between Israel and Hamas....´I think it´s fair to say there are, of course, ongoing complicated situations in the world, and that´s why you´ve seen the president stay engaged,´ White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.

I´m almost speechless at saying Obama is engaged. To his own ego, perhaps, but certainly not to unfolding dire events both here and overseas.

Were we not told by Obama himself and a few other flunkies that he is always "in touch" with events no matter where he is?

So if he´s so "engaged" and "in touch", and never misses being briefed on important matters, why can´t he do it from the Vineyard?

ANSWER: Someone decided that the optics of Obama´s monumental vacation and golf binges at a time even Hagel characterized as "the world burning", is not a good idea.

Just a guess, but I´m thinking the Democrat Party may have a few things to say about Obama´s utter disregard for world events, for America and for her people.

This is a rather strange "family vacation" - it appears that none of them want to spend too much time together.

Even THEY understand what a terrible photo-op it would be to have his lil´ daughter fly AF1 by herself, while "common people" (TAX-PAYERS) who pay for their monthly travels, have stay-cations because most can´t afford a REAL vacation like the obamas enjoy monthly. I can´t imagine WHY he would worry about it though, when he has the kind of headlines and dishonest-suck-up coverage from the asse-press "staff" and the rest of the lemmings in the "msm". Sickening.

Thomas H. Boggs Jr., who sat for decades at the epicenter of Washington legal, business and political circles as the city’s marquee name in lobbying and political fund-raising, died Sept. 15 at his home in Chevy Chase. He was 73. The cause was an apparent heart attack, said his sister, the broadcast journalist Cokie Roberts. With a gregarious charisma that even his nemeses among good-government groups found hard to resist, Mr. Boggs spent four decades as a heavyweight in Washington influence peddling. Sometimes attending three fundraisers in a single night, he had a shrewd understanding of how the city operated

BAGHDAD -- The extremist-held Iraqi city of Mosul is set to usher in a new school year. But unlike years past, there will be no art or music. Classes about history, literature and Christianity have been "permanently annulled." The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has declared patriotic songs blasphemous and ordered that certain pictures be torn out of textbooks. But instead of compliance, Iraq´s second largest city has - at least so far - responded to the Sunni militants´ demands with silence. Although the extremists stipulated that the school year would begin Sept. 9, pupils have uniformly not

But execrable as that serial prevarication may have been, it doesn’t hold a proverbial candle to his most recent whopper — that the Islamic State is not Islamic — not to mention its corollary, or perhaps subsidiary lie, that real religions do not indulge in murder. Is a mutiny happening around President Obama? It appears possible that the president may not have made two of his most recent decisions with complete free will. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked?
