Obama decides to break away
from biking and golfing at Martha´s
Vineyard to get back to Washington
in rare vacation break

President Barack Obama is getting off the island. In a rare move for him, the president planned a break in the middle of his Martha´s Vineyard vacation to return to Washington on Sunday night for meetings with Vice President Joe Biden and other advisers on the U.S. military campaign in Iraq and tensions between police and protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. The White House has been cagey about why the president needs to be back in Washington for those discussions. He´s received multiple briefings on both issues while on vacation. The White House had also already announced Obama´s plans to return

As speculated before:

To get Bo, and that other dog they bought.

To pick up Sasha from camp.
To get away from wife
To get away from mother in law
To get his weekly medical treatment.

To pick up more choom, etc

And this was necessary because, why?

There is no such thing as Skype? Barry is actually a president who cares about, well, anything? Joe Biden isn´t borderline retarded so his face to face input is relevant?

No, I´d say Zippy can´t wait to get the heck away from the Mooch, the ten minutes he spent with the daughters exhausted him, and Reggie Love awaits in the Oval Office with a blue dress and a cigar.

Leave it to the Associated Press to shade a headline dishonestly. The headline reads: "...(T)o get back to Washington in rare vacation break." It should read: "...(T)o get back to Washington in rare break from vacation." See? I´ve never seen a president more averse to work. All he seems to do is play and party.

He also called foreign leaders to discuss the tensions between Ukraine and Russia, as well as between Israel and Hamas....´I think it´s fair to say there are, of course, ongoing complicated situations in the world, and that´s why you´ve seen the president stay engaged,´ White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.

I´m almost speechless at saying Obama is engaged. To his own ego, perhaps, but certainly not to unfolding dire events both here and overseas.

Were we not told by Obama himself and a few other flunkies that he is always "in touch" with events no matter where he is?

So if he´s so "engaged" and "in touch", and never misses being briefed on important matters, why can´t he do it from the Vineyard?

ANSWER: Someone decided that the optics of Obama´s monumental vacation and golf binges at a time even Hagel characterized as "the world burning", is not a good idea.

Just a guess, but I´m thinking the Democrat Party may have a few things to say about Obama´s utter disregard for world events, for America and for her people.

Perhaps his so-called important meetings are just a cover-up for delivering one daughter back to DC and picking up the other to go to Vineyard - and we lucky tax payers get to pay for it. This is a rather strange "family vacation" - it appears that none of them want to spend too much time together.

Even THEY understand what a terrible photo-op it would be to have his lil´ daughter fly AF1 by herself, while "common people" (TAX-PAYERS) who pay for their monthly travels, have stay-cations because most can´t afford a REAL vacation like the obamas enjoy monthly. I can´t imagine WHY he would worry about it though, when he has the kind of headlines and dishonest-suck-up coverage from the asse-press "staff" and the rest of the lemmings in the "msm". Sickening.

With one month until Election Day, Republicans´ chances for retaking the Senate and picking up seats in the House are improving. The GOP has been buoyed by positive public polling, while red-state Democrats are still struggling to find distance from President Obama. There are bright spots and even some unexpected new targets on the map for both parties, but the overall national environment seems to have ticked a bit toward Republicans. The GOP needs to win a net of six seats to retake control of the Senate, and Republicans seem better-positioned to do so now than they did through much of

President Obama famously derided the Supreme Court over the Citizens United decision in a State of the Union address. It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It
