Obama is driving Jews
from Democratic party

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

A ?friend who is conservative and ?Jewish asks a question: “Given ?Obama’s hostile treatment of ?Israel, isn’t it time for Jews to have their Ronald Reagan moment?” By that, he means when the Gipper said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.” Without doubt, the party under Barack Obama has left those Jews who view Israel’s security as threatened. Obama recently told a New York Times interviewer, “Because Israel is so capable militarily, I don’t worry about Israel’s survival.” That’s shocking, considering Iran’s threat to wipe Israel off the map once it gets nukes. And even as Obama spoke, the

For the few remaining democrats that can discern the difference and care, this just gives Hillary room to triangulate and make more supportive sounds towards Israel than than BO would.

As has been said, modern American Judaism is liberalism with holidays. God has little to nothing to do with it.

It is simply not possible to be a "good" and practicing Jew, Catholic, Lutheran etc and also be a democrat. Religious belief and being a democrat are mutually exclusive. You are one, or the other. You cant be both.

Likewise, you cant be "pro-American" and also believe that the military is evil, the constitution is a living document and the founding principles are extremist right wing idealology. In short, you cant be a left wing democrat and "PRO-American".

I will believe that many Jews have left the Democratic Party, when the msm begins reporting the news honestly and fairly. It won´t happen in any appreciable numbers or time in the foreseeable future. They are too committed to the cause to see the light.

There’s ignorance and there’s stupidity. The difference between them can be, and often is, gargantuan.

Congenital prevaricator and liar emeritus Barack Hussein Obama, if that’s even his real name, is never to be trusted, whatever the issue. Count on him for anything whatsoever and then prepare for the worst!

Don´t believe it.
Obama and Michelle keep coming to hollywood and NYC to pick up checks from Katzenberg, Spielberg, Streisand and Weinstein et al - they don´t care about America much less Israel.
More importantly, the Jewish film producers and msm make this shiftless fraud cool and brilliantly nuanced.
Watching Obama dance away in MV with what appeared to be a mostly black crowd of the black " elite" while the black mobs - his 95 % voting block- rioted- disgusting.
Hollywood box was down 20% - who wants to support those who are destroying America and lighting a match in the ME?
Dem Party is the Communist Party USA.

I´d like to think so but extreme liberalism is in some ways suicidal. Case in point is the extreme left in Israel. Many Jewish donors in the Democrat Party similarly defy logic. Their liberalism trumps any form of pragmatism. Unfortunately, we will always have the Vanessa Redgraves of the world.

There are many Jews in America who are liberals/Dem first, Jews second and Americans third. At least that is what their actions and words say.

Current dem policies will ultimately result in a democratic party composed of blacks, hispanics and an assorted group of miscellaneous misfits. When that trend reaches it´s inevitable end, where are they going to get their money? Most of these people are not the type who will write donation checks.

The rest of America will simply go John Galt for a sufficient time and the game will be over.

#3 + #4, yes.

Conservatives understand the inextricable link between Judaism, Christianity and being pro-Israel, but Jews today often call themselves, "cultural Jews" or "Social Jews". There is even a new sect of Judaism to add to Reformed, Orthodox and Conservative, and that is "Reconstructionist" Judaism, which pretty much eschews God and focuses mostly on social and political issues. They are quite pro-Palestinian, or at best, they give equal weight to the political needs of both groups, which I find perplexing, given the persecution of Jews from time immemorial.

Jews are liberals first, with few exceptions such as Jonah Goldberg, David Horowitz, and Dennis Prager. That is what is wrong with this article. The writer, like many others, expects that Jews´ loyalty should be to Israel but that is not the case. Far from it.

Jews are loyal to liberalism first, and if they think about it, to Israel second. Maybe.

The role of God in the life of American Jews, for the most part, is minimal. Tradition comes first, maybe they observe the high holidays, but that is also tradition - to show up at synogogue on Yom Kippur. But ask most Jews about who God is and what His character is like, they often go blank.

God is a distant figure in contemporary Jewish life, with the exception of the Hasidim and Orthodox Jews, who really get the Torah.

I tend to think the opposite, that Jewish support for the Democrats is significantly less than commonly assumed. Sure, the plural of anecdotes isn´t data, but FWIW I personally know quite a few Jews who are registered Democrats, have always been registered Democrats, for all I know will always BE registered Democrats, who routinely vote Republican and hate Obama with a passion.

Sure, prominent New York and Hollywood elites who are Jews support Obama, just as prominent New York and Hollywood elites who are NOT Jews support Obama, so that tells you nothing. And I think Obama´s obvious tilt against Israel following the latest Hamas attacks has finally pulled the scales from the eyes of more than a few formerly supportive Jewish Democrats. Nor is it going to be a "it was just Obama" phenomenon -- too many Democrat party hacks have been lock-step Obama supporters to credibly recant it now.

It is not just American Jews who will help save Israel. It is American Gentiles - you and me.

Israel is much more than the Jewish homeland. She is a brightly shining beacon of liberty, joy and prosperity in a region of hateful hopelessness. A beautiful flower surrounded by sludge. She reminds me of what our own country used to be; therefore, she is worth saving.

I have a niece that is married to a Jew and I can tell you very truthfully that he in no practicing Jew. In fact, I don´t think that he has any thought about religion. His views are pure political. And they are not the least bit conservative. In fact, he will not even allow any political discussion on any subject in his home because he knows that it would start a cat fight among his guests. And that is mostly family members. And the funny thing is, my niece is so conservative that she once told me that she is almost a Libertarian. I laugh every time I think about that.

I don´t quite buy this. Israel is not the #1 issue for contemporary Jews, many of whom are secularizing like recent generations of Christians. They come from an otherwise liberal tradition. Would you like to run down the roster of Obama camp followers? Fair amount of Jewish representation.

We might want to explore and define our terms. Let’s start with “what is a Jew?”

An atheist with a Jewish name? A progressive, humanist, cultural, hereditary Jew who doesn´t particularly believe in God? A believing Jew (born or converted) who sympathizes with the "oppressed" Palestinians? Or doesn’t care? A Jew who sees himself as American and could not care less about his bumpkin Israeli cousins? An American Jew who joins the IDF, but won´t put on the uniform of the United States? A Christian who thinks Christians should celebrate the Jewish holidays and eat a full meal for communion? Marx? Trotsky? Alinsky? Jews?

None of this helps to explain voting patterns. But exploring “Zionism” does. If one breaks it down by who supports the creation and maintenance of a Jewish state in the area that comprised historic Israel (yeah, I know), I believe the picture becomes a bit clearer.

Progressive Americans with Jewish names will not leave the democrat party. They couldn’t care less about Israel. Oh, they’ll donate to keep the Zionists out of their hair, but that’s about it. Their politics still conform to the progressive socialism (read “fascism”) pushed by the DSA that has taken over the democrat party. However, Zionist Jews may wander away.

Zionist Christians (read Fundamentalists, Dispensationalists, Millennialists, and others) are another story. They all pretty much fit into a big bucket which may be loosely labeled “Judaized Christians.” Their misreading of NT scripture and over-reliance on the OT lead them down a heretical path similar to that taken by the original judaizers whom Paul so strenuously opposed. That path leads them inexorably to political Zionism.

It’s not Jews leaving the Democrat party, but Zionists, and not all of them are Jews.

Look at it this way, potentially the so-called Hispanic and Latino communities constitute ten times or more the liberal Democrat votes then the Jews ever will. So except during fund raising times, the liberal Democrats could care less about Jews who because of their Israel connection cause all sorts of problems for the Democrats. As far as future voter numbers go the liberal Democrats know that their socialist oriented future lays with as many foreign born Hispanics and Latinos that they can get into the USA, and not with a bunch of pesky Jews.

For a bunch of intelligent people, they sure have trouble getting their priorities straight. For years, the knock on Jewish people was that they lived like Methodists and voted like Mexicans.

I think Bernard Goldberg nailed it one night on
O´Reilly´s show. He pointed out that most Jews are liberal, but that they are liberals first, and Jews second - liberalism is their religion, not Judaism.

I´m starting to worry about Michael Goodwin. Once again I believe he gets it wrong. Jews are not abandoning Obama and the Dems. That´s just not happening. What Goodwin cites as proof that they are abandoning the Dems appears later in his piece. He says that Jewish support for Obama has dropped from 69 percent to 55 percent. Fifty five percent of Jews still support him and the Dems AFTER the Democrat party and this president have basically told Israel to FO. That over fifty percent still support these lunatics tells me things are just fine in paradise and the contribution checks are still flowing.

Michael? What is happening with you? We cannot lose you since there are so few so-called journalists that are unbiased.

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

The question wasn´t answered by the president´s much-anticipated speech Wednesday night. First, Obama seemed to tell Congress to mind its own business. The man who was the top Marine general from 2006 until his retirement in 2010 says President Barack Obama’s strategy to defeat the terrorist group the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria is doomed to fail. “I don’t think the president’s plan has a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding,” retired Marine General James Conway, who served as the 34th Commandant of the Marine Corps during the end of the Bush administration and the beginning of the Obama administration, said at the Maverick PAC Conference in Washington, D.C. Friday, according to a source in attendance. Maverick PAC has described itself

Sarah Palin has come out in defense of her daughter Bristol who allegedly punched a man in the face during a family brawl. The former Vice President candidate hailed her child as a ´straight shooter´ in a Facebook which appears to be her first veiled reference to the fight two weekends ago. The 23-year-old is said to have repeatedly hit the owner of a home in Anchorage, Alaska, during an outburst in which her brother Track broke four ribs and her father Todd was left with a bloody nose. (Tweet) It came after Willow Palin´s ex-boyfriend allegedly engage in some

Shawn Donovan, director of the Office of Management and Budget, said on Friday that if you don’t believe in climate change and support federal spending to fight it, you believe the earth is flat. “The failure to invest in climate solutions and climate preparedness doesn’t get you membership in a fiscal conservatives caucus,” Donovan said at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. “It makes you a member of the Flat Earth Society.” Donovan, who formerly ran the Department of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama, is now in charge of the arm of the executive branch

CBS is putting its Hillary-inspired drama "Madam Secretary" on Sunday nights next to "The Good Wife." In Friday´s New York Times, TV critic Alessandra Stanley discussed the two shows and slammed Hillary. "Hillary Rodham Clinton is the obvious inspiration, but this is Hillary with a human face," she wrote. During the Cold War, reporters would suggest a kinder, gentler Marxist regime was "communism with a human face." Stanley continued: "Téa Leoni, who has a husky voice and a loose, engaging manner, is an unusually likable beauty. As Elizabeth McCord, she has all the brains and determination of the original and none

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”

The man who jumped the White House railing Sept. 19 deserves the right to live in President Barack Obama’s home, just as the president is allowing hundreds of thousands of border-jumping Central Americans to live in Americans’ homeland, says a new tongue-in-cheek petition posted at the White House website. “We urge President Obama to immediately and publicly recognize that Mr. Omar J. Gonzalez, an oppressed migrant, was merely looking for a better life when he entered the White House after going over the classist, divisive and needless fence,” says the petition, which was authored by D.A. King, founder of the Georgia-based

WASHINGTON — WHEN Willie Nelson invites you to get high with him on his bus, you go. The man is the patron saint of pot, after all, and I’m the poster girl for bad pot trips. It seemed like a match made in hash heaven. When Nelson sang at the 9:30 club in D.C. one recent night, I ventured onto the Honeysuckle Rose, as his tour bus and home-away-from-home is called. I was feeling pretty shy about meeting him. The 81-year-old Redheaded Stranger is an icon, one of America’s top songwriters and, as Rolling Stone said, “a hippie’s hippie and
