The Presidency is Breaking Obama
Even As Obama Has Broken the Nation

Commentary Magazine, by Peter Wehner

Original Article

Posted By:Piercentire, 8/16/2014 5:43:52 AM

One of the nation’s best radio talk show hosts, Hugh Hewitt, interviewed Joe Scarborough, the host of one of the best political shows on television. According to Mr. Scarborough This is a president that does go out of his way to show that he’s not paying attention to what anybody says. He’s going to do exactly what he wants to do, and he’s going to be stubborn about it. He is politically, he is either politically tone deaf or he just doesn’t give a damn.

a good, quick read ...

The only thing that´s breaking obama is the growing pressure to do one day´s work.

He´s never done it before, why start now?

"Joe Scarborough, the host of one of the best political shows on television."

You have got to be kidding me? This is such a one sided slanted show. Joe is not a conservative.

The signs that this man was completely unprepared and unqualified for this responsibility were obvious from the beginning. I will never forgive the obtuse, willingly ignorant masses who voted for this utter disaster.
Those who voted for him in 2012 are certifiably insane.

I´m with #4 "Those who voted for him in 2012 are certifiably insane."

Yeah to that. I have a lib-tard sister. During the Sandy superstorm 2 years ago, we were out of power nearly 2 weeks. Talking with my lib-tard sister on the phone, she breezily said to me.

"Don´t worry, obama´s going to do something. you´ll see". As if obama gonna show up in a bucket truck with a chain saw.

Actually the only thing he did do, was after Gov Christie´s office was pleading with him for 4 days, the EPA finally relaxed some of the Global Warming restrictions, so we could have gasoline again in NJ.

Hey obama, thanks for nothing.

He´s not bored, he´s not restless and he´s not politically tone deaf. He IS totally ignorant in the ways of America. He and his motley crew of islamists, communists, Marxists and Alinskyites are in miles over their heads and have no clue as what to do. I wonder if the Useless Media will endorse another Community Organizer (whatever in hell that is) in the future?

And we´ve got two years of this trash to go.

Very well done.

So the president — with crises breaking out across the globe, the economy still staggering, and unrest and despair in America rising — seems to have grown bored with the job.

I don´t believe it is boredom so much as his own painful recognition that he is not up to the job because it hard work. Because he doesn´t want to do any hard work, never having done any in his life, his adoring public no longer adores him and that is unacceptable because he went into the job with adoration in mind. His narcissism pit has no bottom.

Wehner pretty much said the same thing when he noted, "He was fine serving as president when he was adored and well liked; now that things are going south he appears to have emotionally “checked out,...”

He and Jarrett et al want the world to think that Obama is too big for such a small job as the Presidency. In reality, he is too small and the Presidency too grand for his kind.

This situation can be compared to a doctor halfway through brain surgery saying, "Uh oh, a complication. I think I´ll leave and let someone else finish the job."

I wonder if he really believed he could do this job with the qualifications he didn´t have.

It was so unbearably clear that from the first day, Obama was not qualified for this job. Why it is taking so long -- almost 6 years -- for others to just now discover this is amazing.

Obozo is a shallow thinker - if he thinks at all!

Without reading history, without deep thought, without working hard for your accomplishments (affirmative action cleared way for any challenge), without the benefit of failure and without people around you to object (parents, teachers, co-workers) Obozo has not matured.

The amazing thing is we may see a complete public breakdown of a narcissist - the MOST embarrassing event of a person like this.

Imagine what Moochelle will do. It could really mess up her plans of living like a queen for the rest of her life.

He knows that, as the "historical first black president" he can do whatever he wants and nothing will happen to him. So he´s eating up the perks and giving America the finger and stalling to give his Muzzie pals time to do their part in destroying us. Notice that he drags his feet or backs away completely whenever the issue involves them. All part of the plan.

Obama is not breaking down. He´s winding down. There´s a big difference. He´s winding down because in his America-hating mind he´s accomplished what he thinks was his mandate: to equalize America in the eyes of the world. He´s arrogant about it all. He´s put us in our place. Mission accomplished.

Obama is frustrated because a fundamental flaw in his thinking has taken away his stature on the world stage. He wanted to weaken America, which he did. But in the process of doing so, Obama also wanted to increase his own power and stature. Instead, they are laughing at him in Europe, Russia and he Middle East.

Obama is bored with us. We have failed him. Other than crowning him president for life just like the heads of the African nations he hosted at the WH last week, we cannot change his contempt for us. We are unworthy of his greatness and he truly resents that all he has left for fawning audiences are junior college students and rich Democrats seeking to win or keep federal contracts.

Obama would be the perfect president of Haiti, where government corruption and rule by fiat & fear are the norm. Obama would be Baby Doc II, spending lavishly on himself while ignoring the plight of his fellow countrymen.

Great comments, everyone. Most Americans can´t wrap their brains around who Obama is because he is clearly not one of us. He could have been born on the rug in the Oval Office, but he is not an American. His heart belongs to something altogether different and it was shaped by communists from birth. The spirit of patriots is foreign to him. He has no point of reference or pride in our shared heritage. He is determined to shape this country in his image but that is not who we are.

Whenever I find myself in a huge crowd I look around, i know that most of the people there have a shared history and affinity for this country. We are Americans. We may have differences but deep down we can agree that we love this country. Obama does not hold to those same ideas. Obama enthusiastically embraces the skewed history of this country he was taught. He never questioned it and sought out like minded individuals who reinforced those ideas. He was plucked out of obscurity and set upon this path by individuals who have enormous animosity for this country. We have sitting at the Resolute Desk a man who reviles this country and has done everything from day one to transform it, rewrite its history, and deny its greatness. I hope he is an anomaly and not a trend because this country can´t survive another of his ilk and will likely be hanging by a thread when he leaves.

But he is addicted to the perks of the office. He rarely goes more than a few days without hopping on Air Force One or jumping the line at a golf course (and forcing other golfers off the course). I just wonder if he quietly passed a provision for taxpayers to pay for all his post-presidency living expenses.

Dr Ben Carson would make a better black president #11. He didn´t leave any brain surgeries half done! Seriously he is a man of great accomplishments who shares american values - and his election could not be spun as a rejection of the black president! My mother had great wisdom and often said "Never" is a long time. It has been said that Obama would never be impeached. This disaster is rapidly becoming so extensive that it would drag down the democratic party which has enabled Obama. They show great loyalty to their leaders but even more to their cause. Recently we saw Islamist extremists telling ISIS to cool it! Could something similar happen among the RATS?

Believe his grandma or her lyin’ grandson? Without question, I choose to believe Grandma.

Barack Hussein Obama, one of the several names he has chosen to go by, was born in Kenya. I know because his late grandma, who was present in Kenya at his birth, told us so. Given his long history of telling lies, all of which we’ve been witness to, how could we possibly believe otherwise?

America’s first mulatto president has proven himself a fraud. Kudos to those of us who detected it from the very first day he sauntered upon our national stage! Condolences to those who took longer or never have!

This NOW/THEN theme that we are hearing from Obama´s former starry-eyed fans, is so ridiculous. I would guess they are just trying to validate themselves for accepting the man "as is" without questioning any evidence that he was not all he was "cracked up to be".

He was not a different person before the present time when all the "stuff" is beginning to accumulate in one place (people´s perception of him). It is hard for them to concede that he is no different now than he was then. I believe he voted PRESENT more than anyone when he was in Congress.

As someone has suggested here, he is the character in "Being There".

OK, I can understand people who vote for someone because they consider them one of their own. But when the mask comes off and the person elected is shown to be a clueless, worthless, second rate politician who damages everything they touch, then it is time to look somewhere else.

You didn´t, and so the chaos continues.

Bravo! To so many posters on this thread - makes me proud to be an Ldotter!

Obama´s character is completely lacking in two necessary American traits, handed down from our forebearers - discipline and hard work. Together, these are the foundation - and the fruit - of the Christian work ethic.

Obama is a master politician, and like many of his class, his focus is not on finding a path to solve problems and improve the world, but to ´play the angle and win´. It´s all a game. The nobility of hard labor as a means to actual accomplishment for Obama is like garlic to a vampire.

You can bet that he knows nothing of the details of his policies - has not sat for long hours debating trade-offs or alternatives. For him, manipulation is the focus of all activities. It is the essence of community organizing.

Small correction to # 29. First sentence should have read:

Dr Ben Carson would make a better president, not a "better black president".

The president´s color and gender are of no importance. What´s important is his love of country, trust in the American people, understanding and adherence to our Constitution, appreciation for what it´s like to earn a living, start a business, raise children and eventually retire without a lavish government pension. Also vital is the president´s childhood family and their values, his religious and ethical beliefs, his open mindedness and his realization that what he knows isn´t always so.

If and when they have the time and inclination to
even bother with the news.
Unfortunately ,informed LDotters and posters at other conservative sites are the the exception and not the rule.
Barry´s autobiography was a proud primer on his life long pathological laziness and narcissism .
Until the main media becomes alarmed enough at Barry´s strange behavior , the public at large
will continue to think he´s a functioning POTUS.
Which clearly, he´s not .
Unlike hundreds of millions of Americans ,the terrorists and tyrants around the world are not deceived
by the US media´s portrayal of the Potemkin President.

Sarah Palin had his number in 2008. She said in her incredible speech:

"The Presidency is not a journey of personal discovery" and that you had to seek this position for the "right reasons".

This country would be a different place right now if more had listened to her and understood. But this is why those who were about to profit from BHO set out to absolutely destroy her - because she spoke the truth and the truth is a threat to them.

Amazing how many people still believe that she said she could see Russia from her house.

I think he might be having a crisis with his ideology . . . he has applied it as he intended and it isn´t working. It looks like spreading the wealth, diminishing the power of the US, deferring to foreign powers and apologizing to them for taking their stuff and leaving them poor is not working. The world is clearly worse now than it was before. He spent most of his political capital on Obamacare which has blown up in tis face and shows no signs of recovering. Opening up our southern border to illegal aliens has PO´d damn near everyone. Trying to make the Muslim Brotherhood the new hegemonic power of the Middle East has failed and was clearly not a good idea. There isn´t enough time to fix it all. Best to just take vacations and play golf until it all goes away.

I could accept either wording #40. As you say the important thing is their values not their colour or gender. There is the element that Obama was elected because, not in spite of, being black. Obama’s election was a complete repudiation of the MLK standard: “content of character not colour of the skin” . We already see the beginnings of this tactic supporting Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren saying it is time for a woman to be president. My reply would be sure, how about Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Joni Ernst or Laura Ingraham? We all know that the left means leftist black or woman - not just black or woman. The other side of this is that we must resist the temptation to a knee jerk backlash and saddle all blacks with the record of Obama. There are many blacks who would be excellent presidents.

The honorable thing for him to do would be to resign when he returns to the WH Sunday. That should be followed by the resignation of Biden. However, honor is quite rare in this administration; therefore, it won´t happen.

This is why Mark Levin, for example, cannot stand Wehner.

He was never "fine serving as president."

1) He was never fine.

2) He never served anyone (except our enemies).

3h He has never been president. He is the PINO.

#49 Disagree. Obama is a racialist, not a racist. Important distinction. He doesn´t hate Whites. He USES race and racial situations for political advantage, just like he uses everything else under the sun for political advantage. His policies have screwed Blacks ---especially poor Blacks --- as much or more than he has screwed everyone else... an utter stab in the back to his most fervent and lockstep supporters. He takes them for granted and some are now waking up to devastation caused by his policies.

To #25...you have stated exactly why the founders made the requirement of a natural born citizen a requirement for the office of the presidency. This was debated extensively during the construction of the Constitution. Their reasoning was they didtn´t want the candidate influenced by foreign ideas. So now if we have a fraudulent non-qualified posuer we should remove him. Gather up your anger posters and get behind the growing movement to do exactly that. Bear in mind though, impeachment is only a valid means for a president to be removed from office. Legally Obambi is not a president. There are other means to remove him.Let´s do it!!!

Obama is a walking example of why the Presidency should be reserved only to "Natural Born" Americans who were born and raised right here on American soil. Just because he is technically an American, he spent too much time overseas to relate to our culture. You learn that by attending American Grammar Schools and Middle Schools. Not Madrasas. On top of that, his choice of mentors cast real doubts as to his national loyalties. The New Black Panthers actually called him a Mau Mau. I wouldn´t doubt it.

The second commenter after the article posits that maybe 0bama really does want to be impeached.

Take that thread and tug a little....

Perhaps he really does want to be impeached. That would feed his ego and narcissism. He doesn´t care about what the history books will say about him. It doesn´t matter. He´ll be able to control the narrative no matter how many times he changes it.

He is purely and simply a sociopath. He is someone who thrives on creating chaos for others but not for himself.

He is evil.

We were warned years ago by the LSM, that this smarter than life president, might become bored with the presidency, because the problems the office presented to him were just not intellectually challenging enough for his superior mind. Haven´t the seas receded as he promised? I mean, once you do that, what else is there?

After over six years of the Obama presidency, the scales are finally falling off the eyes of some liberals. I am shocked to hear liberals saying the same things about President Obama as conservatives (including me) have been saying since 2007 when he first announced his candidacy. What took so long? It is as though liberals have been intoxicated for years and have just sobered up. I am encountering liberals describing President Obama as a Muslim sympathizer, incompetent, weak, indecisive, and inexperienced. All of this was obvious during his campaign for anyone that did an honest examination of the candidate.

Last week a good friend of mine told me that one of his groomsmen, someone he’s known since junior high, took his life. He had breakfast with this fellow a month ago and he remarked to his wife that his groomsman’s horizons seemed to have shrunk, but he didn’t realize just how great was his struggle. “It is very sad,” my friend wrote me. “I wish he had reached out to me.” We heard many people say the same thing about the comedian Robin Williams, who committed suicide last month. Williams was battling depression and had been at a rehab facility recently, yet his death still shocked even his closest friends.

BALTIMORE — WHEN the American artist Ralph Barton killed himself in 1931 he left behind a suicide note explaining why, in the midst of a seemingly good and full life, he had chosen to die. “Everyone who has known me and who hears of this,” he wrote, “will have a different hypothesis to offer to explain why I did it.” Most of the explanations, about problems in his life, would be completely wrong, he predicted. “I have had few real difficulties,” he said, and “more than my share of affection and appreciation.”

Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate. But the wholesale bashing of Wasserman Schultz at every level of the party -- White House,

WASHINGTON — Kurdish fighters battling ISIS desperately want more guns and armor, but they already have a secret weapon: The fanatics they’re fighting fear that if they get killed in combat by a woman, they won’t go to heaven. “They have many female battalions, as you know who fought very bravely,” Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.), who chairs the House International Relations Committee, told The Post of the Kurds. Royce, who met this week with the foreign minister of Kurdistan, cited recent reports of young female Kurdish troops “laughing” at ISIS forces they had turned back. “These ISIL soldiers apparently believed that if

Flashes of disagreement over how to fight the Islamic State are mounting between President Obama and U.S. military leaders, the latest sign of strain in what often has been an awkward and uneasy relationship. Even as the administration has received congressional backing for its strategy, with the Senate voting Thursday to approve a plan to arm and train Syrian rebels, a series of military leaders have criticized the president’s approach against the Islamic State militant group. Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, who served under Obama until last year, became the latest high-profile skeptic on Thursday, telling the House Intelligence Committee

These children are facing an uncommon enterovirus strain. While enteroviruses in general are quite common, this particular strain — enterovirus 68 — has not cropped up terribly often since it was first identified in 1962. It can cause severe breathing problems, a particular danger for children who may suffer from asthma or other

President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him.
