The Obama Dallas Immigration Visit –
The Curious Case of Obama’s “Faith
Leaders” and Obama’s “Faith-Based Groups”…

Conservative Treehouse, by Sundance

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 7/19/2014 10:51:20 AM

On July 9th 2014 President Obama made a visit to Dallas Texas for two reasons. The first reason was fundraising, the second reason was to meet with Governor Rick Perry and “Faith Leaders” to discuss the border crisis. (Snip)A wider angle of the picture would reveal a more integral player seated at the table. A person mistakenly characterized by the media, but perhaps the most significant benefactor of the entire immigration roundtable. In the lower left of this image you see a man named Kevin Dinnin. Before we get into the curriculum vitae of Mr. Dinnin we first need to set

Comments:
In this instance his "faith leaders" have no connection to any religion, no churches, no congregations, and are in fact government-funded non-profits. Like ACORN.

Thanks to TCTH, we now know that Kevin Dinnin is the head of BCFS, the non-profit that was handed $190 million in grants to operate facilities for coping with the invading illegal alien "kids". His compensation alone comes in at more than $400K/year.

Read this investigative piece. It´s an expose. It lays out in plain English, and with supporting data and documentation, Obie´s deliberate mendacity in describing what had taken place at this meeting and who was involved.

Do what you can to get this information to your congressmen (House and Senate), because I strongly doubt that they have a clue.

Ignorance is bliss only for a very short time. Inevitably, ineluctably, the Grim Reaper will make his call.

All ACORN - just renamed. These are the "BROWN SHIRTS" who restricted access from viewing at detention centers. They are the ones who threatened nurses, doctors, etc., telling them to keep their mouths shut.

FTA: (And remember, this is OUR money, YOUR money.)

Two days before this meeting with President Obama, on 7/7/14 Mr. Dinnin was given a grant from Health and Human Services in the amount of $190,707,505.

Yes, that is over $190 million dollars just before he met with the President. In 2014 alone BCFS has received almost $270 million.
(Snip for pdf documentation)
These are staggering sums of money to just one of several taxpayer funded groups operating under the guise of “faith based organizations”. The amounts awarded to these “faith based” groups in 2014 far exceeds the money ever given to the fraudulent social assistance group, ACORN. And the 2014 grant amounts are EXPLODING in comparison to 2012 and 2013.

As previously listed here is the 2012 Tax Return for BCFS:
(Snip for pdf documents.)
Catholic Bishops so far in 2014 $27 Million is another albeit smaller example, after receiving almost $70 million in 2012.

But the most staggering figure is what HHS has spent on Unaccompanied Minor Children (under grant code 93676) since the President’s 2012 Deferred action program began:

$644,188,522.00

And we wonder why these so-called "faith-based" organizations are all for this "humanitarian effort"?

Please, Web-masters, make this a "Must Read."

What a scam. Slush-fund. What a fraudulent use of taxpayer money. Maybe, this type of con is what all the Czars dream up. This is just hiding in plain sight. If you make a HUGE grant of moneys, it legitimizes the cause, and nobody asks questions. Especially, if it is to a "religious" organization. Who would question their charitable, altruistic motives?

The salary compensations are outrageous for a charitable organization. How much oversight is this organization given? What are the results of all of this money spent? Disgusting!

Good article, but nothing new. The American Spectator carried an article in the late 90´s about Catholic Charities and how 50 percent of its revenue was from taxpayer dollars. As usual, zippy is just carrying things to an art form. BTW, where is the separation of church and state crowd on this issue?

FTA "And I indicated in hearing the stories of churches that are prepared to not just make donations but send volunteers to help construct some of these facilities or fix them up, and their willingness to volunteer in providing care and assistance to these children" - President obama

How can obama say such a thing if those in the meeting were not "faith leaders" but heads of Government funded non profits? Because he is a radical, a follower of Alinsky, a Marxist, a liar, he is all that and more but one thing he is not is an American! Should be a must read.

Obama has bee funding these illegals through Ovamcare slush fund and taking money from Americans- especially seniors.
Why did Perry participate in this fraud?

Re #7, deliberately labelling a long investigative article like this one "old news" does a disservice to those who put in the work to put it together and to those who would skip it based upon such a dismissive comment.

There is a LOT in this article that is news. And the LSM won´t be covering it.

I had a feeling Perry was being set up. He should have requested a list of all people at the table before the meeting. I doubt seriously if they would have given it to him. They would have said we´re in the process of compiling a list. Read, send to your congressman & share article with your social media sites. 190 million to a so called faith based mission while our military is receiving pink slips while in combat.

Anyone really surprised? Obama is the king of obfuscation. It is evident that the border crisis has been in the planning for quite some time. Makes you wonder just what other schemes Obama has up his sleeve that we do not know about. It is clear to me Obama is actively working to remake this country in his own image. Would someone please light a fire under the pampered princes in Washington? They seem to be unconcerned or unaware of the destruction this one man has wrought on this country. What is it going to take to make them see the danger and urgency?

I have a feeling Anita Perry reads Lucianne.com. Mrs. Perry, please let your husband know that Obama´s "Catholic" and "Baptist" groups have nothing to do with churches that use those names. They are as faith-based as Acorn. Don´t let them get away with adopting words like Catholic and Baptist to fool genuine Texas Christians into supporting lies that have nothing to do with the Gospel and everything to do with God-hating progressivism. Please ask Rick to investigate and, if he finds that this article is correct, expose what they are doing in the name of Christ. Thank you.

I have been telling this ever since Obama was elected the first time.

Obama is just the front man for the Marxist democrats and Marxist RINO´s.

They use fake front organizations calling them charities, yes everything but what they really are, Marxist communists organizations who are getting and using your tax dollars to fund the destruction of your America from within.

Everyone who voted for Obama is complicit in putting Marxist communists in charge of America´s government. I believe most of them are fellow comrades and the rest are just stupid useful morons, they probably suspected as much but refuse to believe the truth. Stupid means they know better but do it anyway.

Even the real "faith based" organizations dealing with immigration (yes, illegal immigration) get nearly all of their funding from the taxpayers. Here´s an example:

The financial data on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and its immigration/refugee programs is in its own annual report here. And this was for 2012. All of these grants have increased since then.

Scroll down for the financial report:

http://www.usccb.org/about/migration-and-refugee-services/upload/Annual-Report-2012.pdf

You will find that of its total revenue of $70,975,237, $65,911,344 came from federal grants and contracts. These are THEIR numbers.

And federal grants ARE us!

From the link at #18,

9. Catholic Charities support an active public-private partnership with government at all levels.
The Catholic Church has a long and strong tradition of teaching about the responsibilities of government in promoting the common good and protecting the least among us, and the responsibilities of Catholics as citizens and taxpayers to support those roles and actively participate in civic life.

In light of these teachings, Catholic Charities have sought and accepted partnerships with cities, counties, states, and the federal government in which we receive government funding to provide services to the wider community that we judge to be consistent with our own mission. These payments may take the form of contracts to deliver particular services, such as foster care; voucher payment from individuals paid by government, such as Medicaid; and government funding of construction, such as housing. Government provides funding; we bring additional funding, volunteers, efficiency, values, community credibility, and dedication to the service of local communities and their needy families.

10. Catholic Charities blend advocacy for those in need and public education about social justice with service to individuals, families, and communities in need.

Right now they are neck deep in Obama´s "social justice" illegal immigration program. And being largely funded via federal grants and contracts, aka taxpayer funding via the IRS.

Words convey ideas in the mind. A person seeing "faith" will instantly think religion or Christianity ; therefore, moral and good. That is how so many have been deceived to support different ideas because words carry moral ideas and thoughts. A person should always look at the total picture instead and see what follows these "moral" words. In other words read the fine print. Faith in what??

It´s hard to argue with the tremendous investigative resource that this site has developed into, so it´s easy to accept the use of the name Sundance given the thoroughness of the information he/she has accumulated and offered for public consumption. Yet, I agree that names should ultimately be attached, just as Spengler has been identified as David Goldman.

Fascists seek to control religion as well. How better to cow people than to convince them what is being done is in the name of God. Regardless of belief, churches run on money. And once attached to the teat of government, they are reluctant to give up their place, and in fact, become dependant on the largess of The Won or whoever is next to come to power.

It is disgusting, corrupt, and ultimately destructive to religious freedom. When government makes religion an instrument of its bidding, then it is no longer a religion in the sense of its original purpose.

A comment concerning the growing size of the fraudulent government grants under the corrupt Obama reign of "hope and change".

As a young man, a lawyer friend and I entered into a sideline business of "flipping" houses, although it wasn´t called that in the 1960´s. The houses we were buying, fixing up, and reselling were in the 10 to 12K range.

One evening, over a beer, he suggested we apply for a bank loan, the size of which caused me to choke on my Budweiser. He wanted us to purchase a commercial building that was in distress.

After I recovered, he said something I´ve remembered ever since:

"You have to get in a line to take a banker to lunch, and buy him a martini, to ask (beg) for a fifty thousand dollar loan."

"If you want fifty million you will have bankers in line to take you to lunch, and buy you all the martinis you can drink."

I don´t know if this concept is in Saul Alinsky´s book, but if it isn´t, it should be!

I´m sort of relieved. I was really bummed out by the notion that the government was subsidizing Christian groups that were doing Obama´s dirty work. The religious aspect is clearly just a cover but a really good one. Now I´m worried that when the churches see how much money they can collect for being Obama´s cover, some of them might sanction it.

As someone affiliated with The Conservative Tree House, I will address and defend the practice of using pseudonyms. CTH is written and administered by volunteers. We make no money from the blog, except for donations, which are used for research and costs. We have no ad revenue. I don´t handle the money, but I will bet we are in the hole financially. There are costs associated - such as a paid email account, blog fees, software etc. We each chip in to pay these expenses. All of our time, which is considerable, is provided at no charge.

Donations have been used for travel expenses and FOIA requests, which can be quite expensive, depending upon who is supplying the documents requested.

In addition, Sundance (who is not anonymous to his enemies) has been threatened, has had a car set on fire, and another set of tires destroyed. This was all related to the Zimmerman trial last year.

You ask why we all would prefer to remain anonymous? If you knew our names, would it make a difference? The article you are commenting on here is not just opinion. It is documented by tax returns and links to government web sites. The identity of the person writing the article has no bearing whatsoever on the facts presented.

As always, follow the money. It would be interesting to see what this group does with the money, and how much help they give versus donating to various political causes and lining their pockets.

Unfortunately, government today is viewed as a vehicle to make money. Trade donations for legislation that nets the donor(s) millions/billions. As for the price tag of the legislation, that´s what the taxpayer is for. If the legislation curtails freedoms, the legislators do not care. They have been well compensated.

Government is not suppose to work this way.

Btw, lots of ministries are quite liberal thinking the government should spend a bundle to help people. Alot of ministries are over the radio and over the internet, and extend beyond a church, and they do alot to help people in need and partner with other groups that provide the manpower.

Any group working with the Obama gang is likely either corrupt or a dupe, however.

Amnesty is the litmus test. Any politician who supports ANYTHING other than closing the southern border and commencing to deport 14 million illegal aliens is supporting amnesty. And anyone supporting amnesty should be targeted for defeat in their next election. No exceptions. No excuses. No second chances. No other issues.

Selling America into nonexistence for a price. Now we know why some of these groups support amnesty. They are making BIG money from it. Can´t sift through all the comments. Has anyone taken a close look at Perry´s list of contributors?

I question the questioners motives. Are they idly curious? Are they just making mischief? Or does their questioning the writer´s identity cover their doing no reading nor having to formulate their own reasoned opinions on the subjects and data presented?

Where´s the Southern Baptist Convention on this issue? Why aren´t they distancing themselves from this? Haven´t heard a word out of them.

Having worked for a catholic hospital I understand that leaders of catholic healthcare are NOT priests nor or they nuns as they once were. They are MBA´s with degrees also in public health/accounting, etc. Catholic healthcare would not exist if it were not for Medicare (govt money). Same as for Baptist healthcare, Methodist healthcare, Presby healthcare.

What I find interesting is - in Oklahoma churches were told to "stand down" when they offered to help in Lawton.

Re #47,

BCFS is not listed as a partner of another state convention in Texas that also cooperates with the SBC -- the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention -- nor is BCFS related to children’s ministries in Maryland and Illinois with similar initials affiliated with their state conventions. (Snip)

The BCFS website, however, makes no reference to its former Baptist name and does not list the Texas convention among a number of partners, mostly federal agencies such as the U.S. Border Patrol.

#34, your statement about banks reminded of this one: If you owe the bank $100,000 and can´t pay, you´re in trouble; if you owe the bank $100 million and can´t pay, the bank´s in trouble.

#40, thank you to you, CT, and Sundance for bringing us information we haven´t seen elsewhere.

(Snip)The Secret Service then ran a criminal check on the man, and discovered his criminal history. Joe Clancy, the man in charge of cleaning up the Secret Service after a series of embarrassing security gaffes, is the ideal person to lead the agency through troubled waters, a former top Obama adviser said Wednesday. The Department of Homeland Security named Clancy, director of corporate security for Comcast Corp., as interim acting director of the Secret Service after Julia Pierson resigned Wednesday. He retired from the agency in July 2011 after having served as special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division, a role for which he was well-regarded, David Axelrod, one of Obama´s oldest friends and

MONROVIA, Liberia — A man who flew to Dallas and was later found to have the Ebola virus was identified by senior Liberian government officials on Wednesday as Thomas Eric Duncan, a resident of Monrovia in his mid-40s. Mr. Duncan, the first person to develop symptoms outside Africa during the current epidemic, had direct contact with a woman stricken by Ebola on Sept. 15, just four days before he left Liberia for the United States, the woman’s parents and Mr. Duncan’s neighbors said. In a pattern often seen here in Monrovia, the Liberian capital, the family of the woman, Marthalene Williams, 19,

Atlanta -- It´s a lapse that has Americans concerned and health officials asking how it could happen. A man who had Ebola but didn´t know it walked into a Dallas emergency room September 26. Although his symptoms could have indicated Ebola among other things, no one at the hospital asked him if he had recently traveled, a source close to the case told CNN. The man, who had just flown from Liberia to the States didn´t offer the information either, the source said, and the man left the hospital. A new report showing the continued pileup of unpaid medical bills in states that didn’t expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act is escalating criticism on these Republican-led areas of the country to expand the health insurance program for the poor. The report out last week from the Obama administration shows the costs of uncompensated care are projected to fall by $5.7 billion this year largely because millions of Americans are eligible for expanded Medicaid insurance for the poor under the Affordable Care Act and they are taking advantage. About half of U.S. states opted in favor of expanding Medicaid which

Just like the fictional Unaccompanied Alien Children ruse the White House created to sell a comprehensive immigration reform strategy, so too is the Khorosan group a purely fictional political construct designed to avoid ideological embarrassment. Andrew McCarthy exposes the same fraud we have continued to share. In a recent column for NRO McCarthy explains how the White House had come up with the “Khorosan” al-Qaeda group as nothing more than a political ploy to avoid being ridiculed for their inept and detached prior espousals. After the McCarthy article we’ll show you the timeframe when the Denis McDonough ruse

President Barack Obama has taken a lot of flack since his Sunday night “60 Minutes” interview, in which he blamed the intelligence community for his failure to tackle the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. And that is right and proper. Because not only was his excuse of blaming us a lie, but when questioned on his lie, White House press secretary Josh Earnest doubled down with a whole new lie — both of which are easily, publicly proven false. On Sunday, Obama said the intelligence community had underestimated the rise of ISIS, saying in an interview

The Obama administration found itself scrambling on Tuesday to defend President Barack Obama for his lackluster 42% attendance record on daily intelligence briefings, a finding from a new report issued by the non-partisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI). When asked about the GAI revelation on Fox News, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki appeared flustered and unprepared. "Well, I have no validation of those statistics," said Psaki. Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed legislation imposing the nation's first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, driven to action by a buildup of litter and damage to aquatic ecosystems. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016. The law allows grocers to charge a fee of at least 10 cents for using paper bags. State Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Los Angeles,

Boehner applauded Bush’s ability to “talk about Republican issues better than most anybody that we’ve got out there,” approving of his “real record of reform” as Florida’s governor from 1999 to 2007. President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus
