The Border Crisis Is Obama’s Hurricane
Katrina? Don’t Be Ridiculous!

Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 7/9/2014 10:51:46 PM

Some (including some Democrats) are saying that the crisis on the Southwestern border is President Obama’s Hurricane Katrina. But there are at least two fundamental differences between the illegal immigration fiasco and Katrina. First, the response to Hurricane Katrina was actually the largest and the fastest response to any natural disaster in history, as Popular Mechanics, as I recall, later documented. Second, President Bush didn’t cause the hurricane. The current disaster is entirely attributable to Barack Obama’s willful refusal to enforce the immigration laws, in violation of his oath of office. Is Obama’s subversion of the nation’s laws an impeachable offense?

George Bush did nothing wrong in Katrina. But he was crucified by the unholy marriage of the Demon-RATS and the MSM.

Øvomit has done everything intentionally and purely evil in the border crisis, but is being totally protected by the MSM.

New day, same old story.

The President of the US, Bush followed the constitution and waited for the local authorities to ask for federal help.

Unfortunately the recently convicted Nagin was incompetent.

In contrast the border issue is BECAUSE of Obama´s FEDERAL policies and lack of enforcement and the local authorities are having to react.

Perhaps in a just world, we will see the incompetent party thrown in jail for corruption again.

Obama´s price tag for taking care of each illegal immigrant child - $75,000

Cost of a bus ticket to send that child back to their parents - $200

The response to Hurricane Katrina at the real ´Ground Zero´ here on the Mississippi coast, was superb! I know, I had 14 feet of water in my yard from the storm surge, and my (raised) house is the southernmost house in my neighborhood that was still standing after the storm. The response in Louisiana was impeded by the Democrat-party governor and New Orleans officials, specifically to make President Bush look bad.
On the other hand, as far as I can tell, the illegal-immigrant crises is a direct result of Obama´s dereliction of duty and his decision to not secure the border with Mexico.

...Hinderaker brings up a good point in the last paragraph. Mexico is notorious for the control on their southern border, amazing how many have snuck through...

As I recall Katrina, even the supply trucks couldn´t get through for 3 or 4 days due to flood water everywhere. What on earth more could Pres. Bush have done after the stupid Gov, of Louisiana and jailbird mayor Nagin both refused the President´s pre storm offer of help. All he could do was to overlook the flooding, but he did manage to be a presence at Waveland, Mississippi which was destroyed by the sea surge. There is no comparison of an act of nature to this purposeful planned disaster - I would say this is Obama´s downfall.

Apart from what is actually happening at the border, Obama is establishing a very important principle here, which will be of crucial value in his remaining years in office: an American president, if Democrat, is above the law, since ignoring, flaunting and breaking laws (and oaths of office) now goes completely unpunished. We can thank the GOP for helping Obama establish this "with impunity if Democrat" principle, and we can´t wait to see how Barack Hussein will utilise it in the coming months.

Some will argue that this historic "With Impunity If Democrat" principle only applies to black-Leftist presidents and that all will be back to normal after 2016, but I think we all know that isn´t the case at all.

Will you all please stop the "he broke the law bit"?
Zero cannot break the law. He IS the law. He, by his own proclamation, is judge, jury, and executioner. He has a constitution in his head which he follows. In his authority document Congress and the Courts play no role. The chief Czar and all his sub-Czars RULE.
He cannot be impeached. Race riots would ensue. He cannot be controlled. The RINOs in Congress do not want to control him, as he has the goods on them, by golly. That is why he has an FBI and an NSA, after all.
He is a tyrant, after the model of Stalin and Kim Jong Il. We are stuck with him.

Foreign governments and their citizens are forbidden from contributing to U.S. elections. If a foreign government hires a lobbyist to influence the legislative or executive branches of the United States, that lobbyist must disclose his contracts and activities with the Justice Department in compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act. FARA is so strict that it applies not only to lobbyists, but to any American who works within the United States to influence our politics on behalf of a foreign interest. Gilchrist County Sheriff Robert Schultz identified the shooter as Don Spirit, 51. The sheriff told reporters the children ranged in age from 3 months to 10 years. He didn´t name the daughter or the grandchildren because not every relative had been notified of their deaths. The sheriff wouldn´t disclose what kind of firearm was used.
