Dick Cheney criticizes
Obama in RJC keynote

United Press International, by JC Sevcik

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 4/2/2014 6:14:35 PM

This past weekend the Republican Jewish Coalition held its Spring Leadership Meeting at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.(snip)Despite Cheney’s keynote speech being private, Mother Jones managed to obtain a recording of the off-limits address. According to Mother Jones, Cheney’s speech takes several shots at Obama, calling the president a weak commander-in-chief who fails to project strength at home and abroad, and claiming that Obama’s duty as President to protect America from all enemies, foreign and domestic, “is not being pursued in any kind of coherent manner."

Comments:
Cheney hits the nail on the head, but of course UPI´s piece is rather snarky and a most unflattering photo of the great former VP was chosen to fit their cartoonish & infantile image of him the left created to avoid dealing with the fact that he is (and has been) absolutely right about the disaster which is the 0bama administration all along.

Global warming computer models confounded

The levels of Antarctic sea-ice last week hit an all-time high – confounding climate change computer models which say it should be in decline. America’s National Snow And Ice Data Center, which is funded by Nasa, revealed that ice around the southern continent covers about 16million sq km, more than 2.1?million more than is usual for the time of year. It is by far the highest level since satellite observations on which the figures depend began in 1979. In statistical terms, the extent of the ice cover is hugely significant. The Antarctic surge is so big that overall, although Arctic

Ten quotes: Obama’s journey

President Obama has gone from “yes we can” to “so sue me.” The president’s standoffish remark this week about a Republican lawsuit was a reminder of how much Obama’s rhetoric has changed since his 2008 campaign and its promise to deliver a new kind of politics. These ten Obama quotations illustrate the transformation. 1. July 27, 2004: “There´s not a liberal America and a conservative America. There´s the United States of America.” Obama vaults onto the national stage with a call for unity at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. 2. Feb. 5, 2008: “We know that what began as

New York - It’s tough being Hillary Clinton. Her book’s a flop, she’s angered ordinary Americans with crass remarks about money and now her husband’s sex life is a New York musical. The lofty ideals and sordid scandal of the eight-year Clinton White House have been rolled into a two-hour, two-act musical satire making its U.S. premiere in the Big Apple on July 18. Looked upon affectionately as one of America’s best presidents despite his human flaws, Clinton treads the boards played by two characters: super-smart statesman William and bed-hopping Bill. “Sunday morning” Bill dreams of universal health care, welfare

It´s a light pre-holiday public schedule for President Obama on Thursday. In addition to normal meetings and briefings, Obama is scheduled to have lunch with Vice President Biden. No public appearances are scheduled for Thursday, at least so far. On Friday, the Fourth of July, the president and first lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to host a White House barbecue for military service members and their families.

The National Transportation Safety Board has denied a petition for reconsideration of its findings in the investigation of the 1996 crash of TWA flight 800. The board said Wednesday that a team of investigators not part of the original investigation has confirmed NTSB´s previous finding that an oxygen buildup in a partially empty fuel tank caused an explosion that destroyed the plane in-flight off the coast of Long Island, New York. The TWA 800 Project filed the petition. It says a "detonation or high-velocity explosion" could have caused the crash. Among other evidence, the group cites witnesses who say they saw a

The civil-rights struggles of the mid-20th century were liberalism at its best. The efforts culminated in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which outlawed racial discrimination in employment and education and ensured the ability of blacks to register and vote.(snip)Obama was doing exactly what liberals have been conditioning blacks to do since the 1960s, which is to blame black pathology on the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow laws. It’s now official: On foreign policy, Barack Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter. For decades, Carter’s presidency was synonymous with weakness on the world stage. The late 1970’s was the era of double-digit inflation, a worldwide oil crisis, Iranian hostages and Soviet military advances from Latin America to Afghanistan. So pathetic was America’s predicament at the time that the late Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy mounted a primary challenge to Carter from the left. Obama’s rise to power mirrored his Democratic predecessor’s in many ways. Both men came to office in the wake of widespread public disenchantment with the political

The United States has been “under serious threat” from terrorists during his entire presidency, President Barack Obama says. In an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos aired Sunday on "This Week," the president highlighted the growing fears that those trained in Middle East terrorist cells can go back to Europe or the United States to execute an attack. “They’re gaining strength in some places. We’ve seen Europeans who are sympathetic to [the terrorist] cause traveling into Syria, and now may travel into Iraq, getting battle-hardened. Then they come back, they have European passports, they don´t need a visa to get into the

Last week my wife and I previewed a new movie produced by local superstar producer Jerry Molen and director Dinesh D’Souza entitled “America: Imagine the World Without Her.” The two had previously produced and directed “2016: Obama’s America,” a film critical of Obama and revealing of his radicalized personal history. So what is the purpose of their latest outstanding production, “America”? In piercing interviews and stock film footage of some of the most radical progressives (the likes of Noam Chomsky, Saul Alinsky and Ward Churchill), Mr. D’Souza presents five complaints against America, defining the progressive ideology that

Maybe we’ve been conned. There’s a growing recognition that Barack Obama is an incompetent poser, working out of his depth, and his administration is the gang that can’t shoot straight. There’s a lot of evidence to support that belief. Everything he touches becomes a bloody mess, like crushed bones and bits of flesh caught in the tracks of a tank slicing through a rank of soldiers (or civilians). Iraq, Syria, Egypt — all gone, as prospects for countries with a prosperous and democratic future. The “reset” with Russia, meant to ensure that America and the replacement republic of the old

A charter plane believed to be carrying immigrants arrived this evening at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field, apparently from Texas. Three Homeland Security buses arrived a few minutes later, trailed by numerous law enforcement vehicles. There is no information as to the buses´ destination. Earlier this week, federal officials said that 140 immigrants who had been detained crossing the border in Texas would arrive Friday. But since the blockade by protesters Tuesday at Murrieta, officials have declined to provide information about the movement of the immigrants.

WASHINGTON-- First ladies typically avoid getting into public scraps, but Michelle Obama has jumped into perhaps her biggest battle yet. She´s fighting a House Republican effort to soften a central part of her prized anti-childhood obesity campaign and she says she´s ready "to fight until the bitter end." President Obama has, except on fleeting occasions, routinely disdained the customary Oval Office language of compromise and coalition-building for the low arts of sophistry and belittlement. That was to be expected, given his background as a Chicago community organizer and product of that city´s corrupt Democrat political machine. But Obama has far exceeded dismal expectations. No previous American president employed the systematic distortion of fact and mendacious characterization of opponents that have typified Obama´s presidency. His "so sue me" speech last week is a classic illustration of the community organizer practicing Saul Alinsky´s 13th rule: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize
