Controversy as Donald Rumsfeld says
a ´trained ape´ would manage the
troop withdrawal in Afghanistan
better than Obama

Daily Mail [UK], by Meghan Keneally

Original Article

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. He argued that the President made a serious error by failing to negotiate a status forces agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gawker points out that such an agreement would effectively commit the United States to having a certain number of troops in the country for a number of years beyond the already-agreed-upon plan which

Comments:
Great googly-moogly! Why not Bo the dog, a parrot, a squirrel, Honeybear--anything but a trained ape! Rumsfeld has some excellent, well-made points, but the ape remark will wipe out all the good.

Oh, no.
Comparing Obama to an ape is raaaaacist.
A better analogy would be that a 4-year old would manage the troop withdrawal better than Obama.

LOL..Well this is conclusive prof thatrepublicans are racists even thoug time someone bought attention to the pathetic job Obama has done handling the Afghan war which was in pretty good shape when he took office.
Obama has put radical antiwar groups in charge of our war policy. They´re only concern is using "saved" money to feather their own nest here at home.

Obama hates commander in chief as his top assignment and it shows with his disdain towards the military. The civilian government workforce are reliable dem voters so their wants and needs take priority of national security.

Obama can afford to allow this country to give up it´s means of defense because he has a coward tunnel to escape to when all hell breaks loose.

if Obma was in charge of Valley Forge, none of us would be here today. On the other hand,it´s too bad he wasn´t at the Alamo.

Making a comparison to being a trained ape is not saying that Obama is an ape. Being so concerned how Rumsfeld expressed himself is allowing the PC crowd to win. They could morph Bush into a chimp, but Rumsfeld cannot make a comparison? Also all the cries of racism or why not use another comparison gets us away from what Rumsfeld said. The left plays this game well. Make a comment of racism or something else in the comments and people respond to that comment instead of what is in the article. We say Republicans do not have a backbone, but there are some commenting here who do not have backbones. I am tired of the PC BS and we have to fight it.

Once again the left proves that THEY are the racists. They are the ones who, in their own minds, connected "ape" to zippy. Rumsfeld did not say that zippy was an ape, but that´s what the left heard, because that´s what´s in their hearts.

A leftist acquaintance once accused me of being a racist because I said that I never wanted to be on welfare. I pointed out to her that I had made no mention at all of race or ethnicity and that SHE was the one who thought "black" when I said the word "welfare", making her the racist, not me.

I imagine this happens all the time when it çomes to the left. Think Sharpton, Matthews, Cummings, etc.

Can we please stop shooting ourselves in the foot? The left is just looking for any slip of the tongue to pounce on and make a talking point for days or weeks. We must be smarter than this. Oh, slice and dice all you want, but please consider your words. They believe we are all Neanderthal racists, why bait them? The left lives for the time they can put words in our mouths and change the narrative. Now the content of what Mr. Rumsfeld has said will be ignored in order to focus on the "racist" words he chose to use. If we must engage in a verbal war with the army we have, let´s make it a smart one.

It would make no difference if he said trained ape, 4-year-old, retard or whatever - it will be attacked as a racist comment, because that has been the perfect foil for obama and the democrats to attack the opposition.

Good for Rumsfeld. I say lay it on thick, and let the PC wailing begin. Do you think Rumsfeld will have to apologize to "keep his job".

Signs of the SPEAK UP LOUDLY, whistleblowing times,
when a quietly comfortable government retired RINO,
steps out of his tax pensioned lifestyle, comfort zone,
and opens his mouth risking even a small controversy.
Imagine the guts it must have taken, the inner courage
to make an insulting remark.
Well, at least Rumsfeld shows up the all silent Bush family and the scores of other silent, rich RINOS.
Ya gotta give him a little credit for such derring do.

Liberals open their mouths... and hilarity ensues.

They are like prudish Victorians who, despite their ostensible propriety, perceived decadence and depravity Everywhere.

So, here we have a critic of an administration led by an ´African-American´ using "ape" as a descriptive in that criticism.

Who instantly interprets "ape" as a pointed racist insult at our CIC? The racist left who see racism Everywhere.

And of course it neatly fits into their pretty successful demonizing of Conservatives as racists. Neat trick, that.

I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! I once got into trouble at work when I said carrying a crate by hand would take two men and a small boy. The black worker didn’t complain, it was the white, female store manager that did. I was directed to apologize and the black worker climbed up and down the manager for her even considering that he was the boy that was referenced when he knew it wasn’t a racist slur.

I’ve learned that the true racist is the one that tiptoes around their speech because they’re afraid to offend someone they consider to be different. They admit that to them, things like color, dress, and body language define a person rather than deeds. Myself, I’ve decided to blunder through life calling a spade a spade and when I’m corrected I just inform them, “A spade refers to a shovel, you idiot”. I’m pretty safe, my parents raised me to be civil no matter whom I’m around. And when I’m driven to insult someone, I don’t need to delve into racist, sexist, or physical insults, I will have already found enough character flaws that will serve in the verbal battle.

If I were a black man, I would be offended by some goody two-shoes thinking they had to enlighten me that I should be offended that zero played second fiddle to a trained ape. The inference is that a black man isn’t smart enough to know he was racially insulted, when he wasn’t. That’s insulting. I would be enraged that the rat party was promoting policies establishing stereotypical behaviors of welfare, food stamps, unwed mothers, affirmative action, and drug use instead of self-sufficiency. Those policies imply that I would not be capable of taking care of myself and my family. That’s racism.

ANY TIME ANY PERSON OF COLOR CRITICIZES A WHITE PERSON (Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush, Romney, et al) THAT INSTANTLY AND AUTOMATICALLY MAKES THEM A RACIST!!! RIGHT???

So let the "Controversy" begin!!! All black people who criticize any white person are automatically racists...lets start playing "their" game! You black racists!!!

In reference to #25, ´´They believe we are all Neanderthal racists ...´´?
I strongly doubt it.
The dishonest jerkoffs in positions to be heard (media, Hollywood,) mostly know better. But they have their acts down, and know when they follow their unwritten script and feign outrage, they can get good people like you to shut up or at least muffle your thoughts to a point of impotence.
Don´t you get tired of being polite? They know it´s not about ´´polite´´.
I´d call your reaction almost a form of dhimmitude though it has nothing to do with Islam.

It´s a non-stop party for Left. They´re all Lucy and her football, and we´re all Charlie Brown, eager to be earnest and groveling. Or so they´re counting on.
Some (more and more) right thinking people are showing the courage to completely disregard them. Their fake outrage isn´t worth the time of day. And the result is, they´re mostly barking back and forth amongst themselves now. Why would you want to continue to protect them?
They´re dishonest and they suck. They know it. We know it.
To Hell with their censorship and the phony outrage that tries to keep in effect.

Someone mentioned trained seal as a better description for Obama. No, Rumsfeld´s right on the money. The trained seals barking and clapping, inhabit Hollywood and most newsrooms, and it´s time to stop taking direction from them.
Obama´s performance (and IQ) is on par with a trained monkey, trained monkey, trained monkey.
Monkey. Monkey. Monkey.
#31 also, right on the money!

Channeling Whoopie..."Maybe he didn´t mean ape ape." Nope, that sounds as asinine as when she said it. Conservatives need to stand their ground and speak truth to the leftists. In the manner of spoiled kids who don´t want to lose, leftists will always twist any statement by us to show that they are the ones in the right. meh! Time to tell the brats that just because they say it´s racism, doesn´t make it so and that they are less than honorable for trying to evade the truth of what Rumsfeld stated. Rumsfeld has my respect.

The number of Americans who see illegal immigration as the nation´s most pressing problem has spiked from 3 per cent to 17 percent since May, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday. Dozens of protesters on both sides of the immigration debate showed up in a small town near Tucson on Tuesday after the sheriff said the federal government plans to transport about 40 immigrant children to an academy for troubled youths - but the kids never arrived. The rallies demonstrated the deep divide of the immigration debate. One group waved American flags, held signs that read ´Return to Sender´ and ´Go home non-Yankees´ and said they would block a bus that was supposed to arrive with immigrant children aboard. It turned heated at times, with shouting matches and a group of

The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.
