Doomed airliner pilot was political fanatic:
Hours before taking control of flight MH370 he
attended trial of jailed opposition leader as FBI
reveal passengers could be at a secret location

Daily Mail [UK], by Simon Parry

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 3/16/2014 5:07:17 AM

Police are investigating the possibility that the pilot of missing Flight MH370 hijacked his own aircraft in a bizarre political protest. The Mail on Sunday has learned that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was an ‘obsessive’ supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim. And hours before the doomed flight left Kuala Lumpur it is understood 53-year-old Shah attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years. Campaigners say the politician, the key challenger to Malaysia’s ruling party, was the victim of a long-running smear campaign and had faced trumped-up charges. Police sources have confirmed that Shah was a vocal political activist

Obviously now, much relevant information about flight MH370 has been kept from the public. Is being kept.

A former FBI agent on a WSJ video made a very good point: with everyone having cell phones etc., it seems incredible that if there was a takeover of the plane, no one called for help or to report it. Yet no one did.

This suggests to me that the passengers, many of whom were asleep, were completely unaware that the plane was not headed to Beijing. How many of us would know the difference? They were simply trusting that they were going where they were supposed to be going, when they were not.

The only explanation is that the pilot did this -- with or without the co-pilot. He could have killed or knocked him out if he was not cooperative.

That simulator in his house was just too much.

Cell phones need towers and there are non along the route. Even over land at altitude if you manage to grab a signal it´s for a brief few seconds.

Also, at that point in the flight they dim the cabin and turn off the overhead monitors that show flight path. Still wherever the plane went its landing would have to be coordinated. Too many pieces for the plan to stay quiet this long.

Surely the NSA knows? Right?

I´m sorry, the words "commercial airline pilot" and "Muslim" should never be able to be used together. And in the future, if any airline I or my family members fly doesn´t inform me in advance that one of their pilots is a Muslim and something happens to that flight, there´s going to be a bankrupt airline once our lawyer gets through with them.

Call me racist. I don´t care. I want advance fair warning. This PC nonsense has to stop. This is at least the second commercial airliner now taken down by its fanatical Muslim (I repeat myself) pilot. I don´t want to hear of a third one. Or be in that third one.

Personally, I think the FAA should do ultra background checks and then publicize whether the pilot, co-pilot or anyone else serving the plane are muslims or not. I doubt anyone would get on the plane if this were known.

Although everyone is clamoring for information, John Bolton yesterday remarked that, if there is belief that this is part of a larger plot, it would be bad to publicly disclose everything that is known at this point.

John Bolton is a wise man.

#6 is being a realist. There are still some of us out there who are not afraid to be falsely called racists.
Too many of us fell for the "Emperor´s new clothes" and stand there looking at a naked man, admiring his new clothes.
Can we go back to the real world now?

Well, #11, I distinctly remember O-zero´s promise to fundamentally change this nation and at another pre-first election speech The Mooch said, "Barack won´t let you go back to the way things were...." So, I think that is a definite no but you would have to check with the Commandant in Sleeze, Jarrett, to be sure.

Another thought - a more comforting thought. Ever heard of Diego Garcia? We have an airforce base on this island which is part of the Maldives islands, south of India. What if the CIA took over the plane electronically (why another 9/11 will be difficult to pull off) and landed the plane at Diego Garcia and is tracing the terrorist connections back to their source. Hey, that´s a better outcome than others being put forth.

After over five years of lightweight, his regime and the msm, I have become cynical concerning all politics that come from DC.

Over half of the citizens in the USA don´t know Russia is invading a free country. They don´t know where the Ukraine is and most don´t care. Our National news tabloid acts as if it is a none event and concentrates on National Inquier subjects to keep Obama from looking like.

The media won´t dare report on serious matters that abound because lightweight will always look lightweight.

I sure hope that the airlines start using "El Al" type security screenings for their passengers and the crew. If customers refuse to fly on an airline without those types of screenings, the financial hit will get the airlines´ attention.
I agree with poster #6. Why take the chance?

Normally when one has a bone to pick with one´s political opponents, one gets on his soap box to tell it to anyone willing to lisen. If this was Shah´s motivation, what´s with this stealthy approach he took? Must be the new muslim schtick?

The passengers are dead and the plane is in the Indian ocean somewhere. One poster offered John Bolton´s comment that, if a much bigger plot is involved, explains why information has been slow to get out. If this is the case, the world is in for a very tough go of it for a while.

One suggestion to the airlines - remove the {insert expletive here} on/off switch for the transponder in all aircraft.

What if they turned off the pressurization in the passenger cabin and knocked everyone out? Not impossible since the pilot/copilot could don oxygen masks and keep on truckin´.

I´m with #18. The reason they climbed to 45,000 feet right after they made the turn was that they needed to rid themselves of pesky passengers and the cabin crew. It´s hard to storm the cockpit or call anybody on the phone when you are out of oxygen. With those people out of the way, the pilot or hijackers could return to a more normal altitude and use their remaining hours of fuel to take the 777 to its new destination.

I´m in the chorus with #1, 18, 19.

Terrorism is about shock. But the shock of a missing plane is days old therefore diminished. It´s human nature to focus on the humans on board ie the passengers but they are likely dead from hypoxia and the hijacker didn´t want prisoners or hostages anyway.

They didn´t want another United 93. They´ve learned. Steal the plane first, crash it later. it will be repainted and slipped into a busy air traffic pattern over a populated area where military interception will be hindered or even prevented.

Let’s be clear about calling bias against Muslims or Islam racism.

Islam is not a race; it’s a savage seventh century cult which demands the murder of all who disavow it.

Denouncing Islam or radical Muslims, far from being racist, is more akin to being a humanist, which is to say, a civilized human being.

Note the link, and the dude named "Shah" in there. This pilot of 370 named Shah also? Bojinka included knocking down the skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Shah´s in prison near St. Louis. Is Operation Bojinka happening finally? Kalid Mohammed´s boys still working?

I still wonder why the media and all governments are mum about the passengers gathered on #370. 20 employees from one company should be a story in itself. 26 high-tech experts from at least 5 major global military contractors...including an Austin-based US Defense contractor that specializes in "radar cloaking" technology? Why NO mention of this?
A captive audience with very specialized technical expertise if there ever was one. Perhaps their collective knowledge was the target, not the plane itself.
Why the news blackout on this? Is there not a single curious journalist in the whole wide world?

Unfortunately, we have a P_O_$ in the White House who is a Muslim sympathizer.

The passengers of any flight will need to demand that the airline publish weather the pilot, Copilot, or crew members are Muslim.

The time has passed to consider there exists a moderate Muslim faction, there is not.

Given the possibilities of global spying, perhaps the NSA might have had in place a program that would monitor aircraft in flight.

But, given budgetary limitations, you can´t invest in foreign espionage when you feel the need to intensely monitor domestic activity such as computer use, cell phones, and other activities of US citizens.

Hard to say what is going on. Seems to be some (alot?) of disinformation. Wonder if political correctness has raised its ugly head. Remember, Muslims can do no wrong and people cannot be critical of them.

It would be interesting to know what is covered by radar, and what isn´t. Is it possible to reach land without crossing into radar coverage? An unidentified aircraft would have been noticed, I hope. Do radar installations keep a record of air traffic?

The closest Muslim terrorists in that area are in Indonesia and the Philipines? A 777 needs a large runway? The plane did not land in a major city. Could it have landed on an old WW2 air strip somewhere?

It probably crashed, but why then go through all the effort to avoid detection? The plane was going somewhere.

#3, no cell phones could be used if all passengers were dead. The aircraft ascended to 45,000 ft I believe, and cabin air pressure was low to nil as I understand it. Probably part of the plan.

That photo has not been seen since in the msm. Why photoshop only the bottom of the photos. I don´t know, but the photo is on my desktop for safe keeping. Is it political? In a sense. After all, if this plane is used as a weapon against a political opponent of Islam, that is political, right?

Plane to Pakistan where Al Qaeda supporters refuel it, destination Iran (I don´t think Pakistan is ready to openly attack the U.S.) where they will install a thermonuclear device - then move it on in careful stages to where they can insert it into general aviation routes. They have three choices:

A. Simplest: Simply set course and trust the West to flinch from shooting down a passenger plane (possibly with some or all of the missing passengers aboard) till it is too late.

B. Modify the transponder and transmitters to mimic a legitimate flight and send it to shadow that flight´s path. Shell game. If anyone notices, which must be shot down? Same arguments as above.

C. Hijack a legitimate flight and replace it with this aircraft. This is the most difficult and requires a Muslim pilot to duplicate what Shah apparently did. It would allow the best opportunity to closely approach the target city before a response can be made.

Our solution: Find this plane before it can be used and destroy it. Rescue the passengers if possible. Eliminate all hostiles associated with this operation as messily and violently as can be arranged - as a warning.

On a side note.

Amazing how the Obama can order a naval vessel into Malaysia, make an offer to put the FBI on the trail all in a matter of a couple of days for a downed foreign plane with a reported 2 Americans aboard, and yet when 4 Americans are butchered in an act of war in Benghazi he held back the FBI for 6 weeks, wouldn´t even send in a fighter plane for support, and continues to lie and cover his backside.
Congress is inept against his stonewalling.

Again, a lot of us thought this had to be another hijacking. It just smelled like one. Reason follows that the plane wasn´t destroyed because it is going to be used in another terrorist attack, probably in the USA.

As far as hiding the aircraft, It isn´t hard. Europeans have taken art to a new level with large printed scenes surrounding construction sites that show the finished buildings with happy people doing all sorts of things. They are so good, they look real.

I´d ask the Russians about this, they sure as heck know more than we do about world conflicts and reality.

Very interesting article that is more detailed than anything presented so far by the US media.
I wish the UK Mail would get their own cable news channel...
No two experts seem to agree on anything.
The plane could not ascend to 45,000 ft without disintegrating.
Or yes it could in an effort to kill / disable all the passengers who would not have the pressurized masks the crew would have.
The one thing everyone seems to agree on is that the Malaysians have bungled the investigation
from the beginning.
They seem to be the last to know anything.

Point to ponder. The airline did not subscribe to the maintenance monitoring service offered by the manufacturer.

I have OnStar in my Yukon, I don´t subscribe to OnStar but it is still accessible to them.

If the NSA doesn´t know what happened it´s because they´re too busy reading our posts.

Two days after the plane disappeared I donned my tin-foil hat. Now that the news is catching up to me, I’m taking my hat off. The plane itself is a piece to a broader assault and the only thing that doesn’t fit is this – a terrorist group claiming that they crashed the plane and killed everyone onboard because of blah, blah, blah - it would serve as the red herring to cloud any investigation.

My fellow L.commers are playing a better round of war games than I’ve seen in the media. Of course, the only religious war the media is worried about is against the Christians – and they’re on the wrong side of that.

Boeing Planes normally fly at 42,000 feet over the Atlantic. The 45,000 foot number is merely a safety limit suggested by the manufacturer. In reality the limit could be exceeded without disintegrating, especially if you were stealing an airplane.

I guess I´ll add my theory in the mix. It sounds like this pilot was hi-jacking the airliner for some terrorist purpose. Something went wrong...a struggle for control in the cockpit or maybe the passengers figured out what was happening and rebelled. I am afraid that 777 is on the bottom of the Indian Ocean.

I think you should all chill out a little & find out a little more information about the political situation in Malaysia before jumping to conclusions.

1. Islam is the country´s official religion. Both sides politically appeal to the Muslim majority´s religious sensitivities. In fact the National Front had flags during the last election stating they reject Israel, trying to draw on the usual animosity muslims have for Israel.

2. During the last election, the "opposition" won the popular vote but due to ridiculous gerrymandering only got 1/3 of the parliamentary seats while theruling party loss the popular vote and controls 2/3 of the Parliament.

3. The country´s press is licensed & practice self-censorship.

Do not be quick to assume what is written by the press is real. Case in point is the case of the Malaysian student placed on a no fly list due to a bureaucratic error. Governments embarrass easily and will find scapegoats to cover their collective butts

Call in Atticus Finch. Only the scrupulously fair lawyer at the center of Harper Lee´s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird," could get at the truth in the latest conflict over the reclusive author´s privacy. The clash erupted again with Tuesday´s release of "The Mockingbird Next Door: Life with Harper Lee," by former Chicago Tribune reporter Marja Mills. To gather material for her intimate portrait, Mills rented a house in Monroeville, Ala., next door to the 88-year-old author and her older sister, Alice, and gradually got to know them. In the book, Mills claims she had "the trust, support, and encouragement"

A Flashing Green Light

The tens of thousands of Central Americans who have crossed America’s porous borders over the last year came on the assumption that once on U.S. soil they would never have to return to their countries. The instigators of this influx correctly viewed Obama’s de facto support for amnesty as a flashing green light. After all, how seriously were they going to take U.S. immigration law under a president who treated border security as a punch line to a joke? In 2011, Obama loudly mocked conservatives, the very ones who foresaw today’s mushrooming crisis, as malcontents crying wolf about a vulnerable border. “You

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s stunning primary loss has left a bit of a mess in Virginia’s seventh congressional district, with Democrats weighing whether to invest in the race and allies of GOP nominee David Brat alleging that Mr. Cantor’s backers are pulling money away from his campaign. Democrats, who had all but conceded the general election before nominating college professor Jack Trammell at the last minute, now must decide whether to spend money in a district that leans heavily Republican. But Mr. Brat, in securing one of the biggest political upsets in recent memory, must now find a way to

Jackson, Miss. State Sen. Chris McDaniel has scheduled a Wednesday news conference to describe what his campaign says is evidence of voting irregularities surrounding the June 24 GOP runoff and to discuss his next steps. McDaniel led voting in the June 3 primary but lost in a June 24 runoff with U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran for the Republican nomination. The matter could end up in court. Mississippi College Law professor Matt Steffey says that wouldn´t be the easy way out for McDaniel. "The law makes it difficult to challenge an election," said Steffey, "because in our society that´s the thing that´s supposed to

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Former South Carolina state treasurer Thomas Ravenel has presented signatures to get on the ballot as an independent running for Lindsey Graham´s U.S. Senate seat. Ravenel said he gave 17,000 signatures when he arrived Monday at the state Election Commission in Columbia. Election officials will have to verify the signatures. That process is expected to take about a month. Ravenel became state treasurer as a Republican in 2007. He had to resign months after his election when he was charged with buying cocaine for himself and his friends. Ravenel says he is running to reduce the size of government,

University of Arkansas library administrators were in contact with Clinton Foundation officials the same day the university rushed to take action against the Washington Free Beacon for publishing recordings of Hillary Clinton discussing her 1975 defense of a child rapist, according to internal emails obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. Administrators scrambled to “get the lawyers involved” to draft a “cease and desist” letter to the Free Beacon the morning after the “Hillary Tapes” report, and over a week before the university admitted it did not actually own the copyright for the recordings. Additional emails revealed that other media outlets had previously

Here’s my solution to halt tide of illegals

There’s a very simple solution to this Obamanation that’s occurring on the southern border. Enforce the law. By which I mean, deport them. Deport them all, not just the latest huddled masses yearning to live for free, forever, in Section 8 housing on EBT cards. No, we must deport all of the 12 or 20 or 30 million illegal aliens who are turning this country into a Third World flophouse. Can we do it? Yes, we can. A few years back, Marsha Coakley famously said, “Technically, it’s not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts.” The ways things are going, it won’t be long before

Summertime, and the living is easy: backyard barbecues, beach books, plastic surgery. It’s the worst-kept secret in Washington. Plenty of those glowing faces returning from vacation are the result of a doctor, not a few days off. Summer, especially in an election year, is prime time for nips, tucks and other cosmetic fine tuning. Not that anyone here admits it — in the magical world of politics, public officials and talking heads are genetically blessed with hair that never turns gray, baby-smooth foreheads and barely any wrinkles. And by plastic surgery (or Botox, laser treatments, body sculpting, dermal fillers, pick your poison), we’re

JACKSON, Miss. — Mark Mayfield, one of the founders of the Mississippi Tea Party, had lost his political appetite. He stayed away from Facebook and stopped writing letters to the editor. He went to his law office, but often had little to do, since his major clients had all but cut him off. When the runoff for the Republican primary came around, pitting longtime Senator Thad Cochran against State Senator Chris McDaniel, the Tea Party challenger whom Mr. Mayfield deeply believed in, friends said Mr. Mayfield could not even bring himself to vote. Then on the morning of June 27, three days

Inspectors surveying Philadelphia´s Veterans Affairs benefits center in June found two stunning signs of disarray: mail bins brimming with claims dating to 2011 and other benefits that had been paid twice. More alarming, the team from the VA Office of Inspector General found evidence that staff tasked with managing pensions for the eastern United States were manipulating dates to make old claims appear new, according to a report obtained by The Inquirer. The findings are the first clear evidence that the city´s VA system is not immune from controversies that have plagued other centers and sparked a growing scandal over delayed care

Throughout her campaign for U.S. Senate, Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes has tried to run and hide from Washington liberals in her party headlined by President Barack Obama and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. Not anymore. Recently, and incredibly, Grimes officially aligned herself with the most exotic Democratic Party segments by campaigning with the doyenne of the leftist hierarchy, former Harvard professor, and now U.S. senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren. Kentucky´s small-business owners believe in promoting America´s economic advantages such as our natural energy resources. Warren thinks that whatever success we achieve has come at the expense of our fellow citizens. She discounts the

When Michelle Nunn attended a fundraiser on Capitol Hill the other day, as we reported, one of the three co-sponsors of the event was Virtual Murrell, who owns a government relations firm in D.C. The conservative National Review dug deeper into Murrell’s background and found quite a tale: Murrell was indicted in 1994 by a federal grand jury on charges that he solicited and received over $37,000 in bribes from businesses in San Francisco while serving as an aide to an Oakland city councilman. The indictment found him guilty of violating the Hobbs Act, a federal statute that prohibits elected and

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
