Our Weimar Republic
American Thinker, by Bruce Walker

Original Article

The horror of National Socialism is so profound and universally acknowledged that comparing our current political and social climate with the rise of the Nazis is sometimes too often and too easily done. The radical left four decades ago observed that Hitler called for "Law and Order," just as conservatives were doing then. Conservatives have noted that the rise of paganism in American culture and the deconstruction of moral values pushed by the left hearken back to another grim legacy of Nazism. There are, however, some chilling suggestions in politics and government today that draw memories of the last days of

Must read.
The parallels between the b------ds Obama and Hitler are also disturbing.
Neither creature has any empathy for the individual -especially the troops.
Over 2000 troops have died in Afghanistan under Obama and his ROE - and he could care less.
Benghazi must be exposed and Obama and Hilary held to account before deaths worldwide are in the millions.
Cruz, Lee and Rand are leading the way out of this Weimar Republic.

Until Hitler starting loosing on the battlefield he had been successful Building the Autostrada and putting people back to work. He rebuilt the military and had taken back former German territory lost in WWI. His support had grown until the tide of war turned. Obama on the other hand has not been successful at anything he has touched with the exception of corrupting our Republic, his support has only gone down. Only the most radical leftist and blacks support the Great Leader.

The evil of the NAZI´s was realized by the Germans until it was to late.

Obama and Holder do mix racism with socialism which to me is the definition of NAZI. German National Socialist Workers Party.

Witness the move to reduce the National Guard in Republican Governor states. The big/little man threatened the governors if they complained that the National Givernment spends too much money, he would discipline them (or similar wording). If this is not another sign of the rising dictatorship, I don´t know what is.

#1 is 100% correct - this excellent article should be a Must Read. It should be if for no other reason than as a reminder of the wisdom of Edmund Burke or George Santayana - both of whom are credited for the quote - "Those who don´t know history are doomed to repeat it."

Personally I don´t care which one first said it - just that people are reminded of its truth.

I´ve said for years that the Left follows Hitler, not Marx. The similarities go beyond what Walker points out in this article.

The best books on the subject are Shirer´s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and Haffner´s The Meaning Hitler.

The progressive dream, of a benevolent state led by the best and the brightest caring for a grateful population unable to fend for itself, is dying a painful death. And it is starting to dawn on some of the smarter Democrats -- people like David Plouffe -- that they face an electoral Armageddon in November. An interview yesterday offers proof that Sarah Palin has really gotten under Obama’s skin. In the midst of a friendly on-the-air radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, President Obama offered us a rare glimpse inside the presidential mind, revealing how deeply he was stung by the gibes he has received ever since wearing mom jeans when throwing out the first pitch at the 2009 All Star Game. We have been so absorbed by the cavalcade of government incompetence and individual hurt produced by the rollout of ObamaCare that it is easy to forget the tragedy-in-waiting should this federal healthcare takeover stay in place: the death panel, also known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). This is the group of political appointees designed to allow the federal government to use a combination of medical and social criteria to determine the healthcare an individual receives. Or, to put it as bluntly as Sarah Palin did, to determine who lives and who dies. Why am I thinking about that now?

Emanuel is often called the “the architect of ObamaCare.” Although no one person put together the Rube Goldberg contraption of a law, Emanuel was certainly a key player. He describes his role in the

Recently I watched the documentary Breeders, which I recommend to everyone – gay and straight, liberal and conservative. The documentary, produced by Jennifer Lahl at the Center for Bioethics and Culture, exposes the ethical dangers posed by the practice known as “surrogacy.” Surrogacy is the use of a contract, by which a woman agrees to carry a gestating child in her womb for another party (usually an infertile heterosexual couple or a gay male couple), and also agrees to abandon the child to the couple who has engaged her services. Compensated surrogacy means that the carrier is paid to rent out her

(snip)There are only a few possible causes of the sudden disappearance of a modern airliner. None are comforting: Some kind of equipment malfunction that completely preoccupied the crew and led to a sudden crash.
