Self-described ´Maverick´ Senator John McCain is making waves with his defeatist statements about how formidable Hillary Rodham Clinton will be as a presidential candidate, predicting that she would win if the 2016 election were held in 2014. ´I would bet, my friend, as much as I hate to admit it,´ McCain told Piers Morgan during his Thursday night CNN broadcast, ´that right now – this is why we have campaigns – but right now, if the election were tomorrow, Hillary Clinton would most likely be the president of the United States.´ The Arizona pol and 2008 Republican presidential nominee was

"...here he comes, with his flood of words and his drop of reason."

What a dolt.

He so easily could have said, "Hey, questions about the terrorist attack at Benghazi --to this day-- have not been answered truthfully. Four men were brutally killed, dozens other seriously wounded. As far as I am concerned, she is not qualified to be dog-catcher. She has no integrity."

I´m dreaming of men of courage to come to the fore, and for we the Opposition to unify and stop back-stabbing, squabbling, engaging in a "circular firing squad". too many big egos. we MUST take the Senate.

A lot of people when being interviewed take the bait every doggone time. They do not have to answer those leading questions. DO what the Dem/Lefties do: answer with established talking points, never attack one of their own.

Then, these people have got to settle their differences behind closed doors. This is essential.

McCain reads the polls.
Hillary was neck and neck or slightly behind Christie until the media decided to make orange cones
on 4 mornings
the equivalent of the Benghazi scandal .
Every single recent poll shows Hillary savaging potential Republicans, some more than others.
Christie , Jeb Bush and depending on the poll Huckabee, Rand Paul and Paul Ryan lose to Hillary by the smallest margins.
But, they still lose.
The Quinnipiac poll today had Paul Ryan the most competitive in Ohio, but, he still loses by 9 points to Hillary.
Hillary will be 69 in 2016 and whether she has the stamina, physical and emotional strength and health to endure a long campaign season ,
plus four years as POTUS is an unknown.
Ronald Reagan was vigorous and healthy at age 69 when elected president , plus he looked a lot younger.
The Hillary unknowns may be why Governor Jay Nixon
D-MO is making rumblings about running.
But, McCain is correct.
If the election were held today, according to every single poll conducted in the past month ,
Hillary would most likely win.

What else can we expect from this guy who was talking with Piers Morgan, is back to calling everyone "friend," and thought about being John Kerry´s vice-presidential running mate. I always think any Republican is better than any Dem, but I am about to change my mind with regard to McCain.

(Video) Laura Ingraham asked a brilliant question this morning, in response to a discussion about Kathleen Sebelius’s resignation. The radio host and sometimes O’Reilly Factor fill-in was on This Week With George Stephanopoulos this morning and got right to the point: What does it take to get fired in the Obama administration? Let’s ask a very simple question, if this were an NCAA coach, if this were a corporate CEO, and we had a product roll-out as bungled and as disastrous as this, it wouldn’t be five months later that she was fired. The answer is obvious. It’s incredibly hard to

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — In January, residents here learned the news that the senior place-kicker for the University of Michigan’s football team had been permanently “separated” from the college for violating its student sexual misconduct policy. In addition, the violation, what the authorities said was a sexual assault, occurred in 2009, when the kicker was a freshman, and his punishment was not determined until his athletic career had ended this past winter. In the wake of Kathleen Sebelius’s ouster from her job as secretary of Health and Human Services, there has emerged a debate about what the Los Angeles Times calls “Obamacare and the Sebelius legacy.” From a moral perspective, though, that is like debating whether Chairman Mao’s provision of free health care should overshadow the horrors of the Cultural Revolution. To be fair, the body count Sebelius left behind in Kansas does not nearly match that of Mao, but the body count is real. During Sebelius’s six years as governor, women came from 48 states and points beyond to have late-term

AUGUSTA, Ga.— Bubba Watson has won the Masters for the second time in three years. Watson claimed another green jacket by shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round Sunday, fending off Jordan Spieth’s bid to become the youngest major champion since 1931. The 20-year-old Texan led by two shots heading to the eighth hole, but the tournament changed suddenly. President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
