Poll: 71% of Obama supporters
´regret´ voting for his re-election

Washington Examiner, by Paul Bedard

Over seven in 10 Obama voters, and 55 percent of Democrats, regret voting for President Obama´s reelection in 2012, according to a new Economist/YouGov.com poll. Conducted to test the media hype about a comeback by 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, the new poll found voters still uninspired by Romney, but also deeply dissatisfied with Obama who has so far failed to capitalize on his victory over 15 months ago. The poll asked those who voted for Obama´s reelection a simple question: “Do you regret voting for Barack Obama?” — Overall, 71 percent said yes, 26 percent no. — 80

Definition of insanity. Admitting that you did something that you regret and then admitting you would do it again. Insanity.

99.44% of Romney supporters are depressed over his not winning the election. What were those Obama voters thinking? I think that every female book group must have voted en masse for their beloved poster boy.

One indicator, I had dinner at the house of a particularly crazed pair of Obama supports the other night. All their usual Obama paraphernalia had been put away. (things like Mooche´s gardening book that had been featured prominently next their fireplace).

I only took one election to put Adolph Hitler in power. After that, there were no elections, nor any chance for the German people to correct their mistake. Instead, it took a great war and millions of lives to finally eliminate that antichrist.

I take great offense at that remark! So, I presume there were no men who stupidly voted for Hussein. Let´s be honest. 99.999% of all black & probably latinos as well voted "en masse" for him.....twice! I have one female friend who voted for him once! I´m in NO way a feminist but that was an incredibly dumb thing to say. So called ´white guilt´(of which I have none) is not gender related.

There may be conservative female book groups out there, but (and I live in an otherwise conservative area) the only ones I hear about - through wife, etc.) are veritable islands of warm-and-fuzzy liberalism, too many professors´ wives, and a lot of wine drinking.

I wasn´t picking on women, btw, just the ones I see who form book groups that seem to read only PC-approved books.

For what it´s worth, in the past election, the best estimate is that 55% of women and only 45% of men voted for Obama (Roper). That is nowhere as lopsided as the minority voting patterns but there it is. I suspect that the political landscape has changed dramatically from the time before women were fully enfranchised. For example, many say that the women vote explains the timing of the passage of Prohibition.

#4 is correct: one man, one vote, one time. That´s the path to dictatorship.

As to the 79% who would still vote for Obama over Romney, it is simple evidence that Obama didn´t win the election - Romney and his Establishment advisers lost it.

The GOP apologists are still in denial, and continue to blame Tea Partiers rather than their own incompetence.

Actually, Obama ran a terrible campaign in 2012. He was drawing crowds of 2000 when Romney and Ryan were drawing crowds of 60,000. He blew off the first debate. Yet it never seemed to bother him. Why? Because he knew the election was in the bag, and it didn´t matter what he did or didn´t do?

Sometimes i wonder if they know that their ballots are secret! They behave as if their friends and family will know how they vote.

Someone dear to me said in 2010, when i asked what BO had done which she approved of, she said she didn´t know... but she still had hope in him.

I was flabbergasted. In response to other questions about some current events, i realized how abominably uninformed she was. And truly, she is not a stupid person by any means.

This highlights the difference between having basic intelligence and having the ability to reason and think logically.

Democrat ideology is largely emotion-based, it appeals to immature and shallow people, people who are easily roused by emotion.

As a nation, we are in big trouble. In fact, the West in general is in trouble; you can pretty much blame socialistic movements which encourage ADULTS to depend on government instead of on self-reliance.

If you are not trying to generate a news story why bother with such a survey?

I think the reality is if the election were held today most of the Obama voters would vote Obama again and Romney voters would stay home in even bigger numbers.

After his first election, her family´s situation was hurt badly by his policies. So, in 2012, I was shocked when she said her family members were all voting for Obama, because the bad stuff wasn´t his fault, he´s trying to help the working people.

She´s not stupid either.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Even though the number of illegal immigrants who have been deported through the courts has dropped by 43% since President Barack Obama took office, the Obama administration may enact administrative changes to allow bond hearings for detained illegal immigrants. It’s pitiful that we’ve reached this point, but Obama’s account of this chat really is more credible than Cantor’s. O’s position on immigration is straightforward: He wants amnesty badly, partly for legacy reasons and partly because he’s understandably keen to legalize a few million future Democratic voters, and he’s hoping the GOP will go along so that he doesn’t have to do something risky like an executive moratorium on deportations. The GOP leadership’s position is anything but straightforward. They’re convinced that they need to pass some sort of immigration bill before 2016 or else Latinos will hand the White House
