Prince William ´wants to destroy all

Daily Mail [UK], by Mia de Graaf

Prince William has vowed to destroy all 1,200 ivory artefacts in Buckingham Palace to ´send a message´ to illegal elephant poachers. The priceless collection includes a throne from India that belonged to Queen Victoria, as well as fans, tankards, statuettes, and furniture. But sources close to the prince say he feels strongly about putting ´his money where his mouth is´. If successful, he will go on to urge other heads of state to follow suit. A long-term supporter of animal rights charities, the Duke of Cambridge makes regular speeches imploring world leaders to adopt a ´zero tolerance´ policy towards illegal

Too bad he did not proclaim that he would lead an army to take over all of central Africa in order to protect the elephants from poachers.

Destroying all the beautiful things made of ivory isn´t going to bring back the elephants, walruses, rhinos, etc. that died to provide it. That´s senseless. If the otherwise worthless U.N. wanted to really do something it would ban the sale of ivory from this time on and send people into Africa especially to kill the poachers.

Wills, dear, there are more important things to deal with in today´s world. Stay in the present. Leave the past alone. A lot of your country´s past really wasn´t very pretty and you cannot do a thing to change history.

Instead of destroying the ivory collection, let´s just abolish the monarchy after the Queen passes. None of her heirs, including Prince William, has the sense of duty, the sense of dignity that the Queen has and her parents had. These princelings want the rock-star celebrity lifestyle, let them pay for it themselves.
