The Hillary Papers and the
Death of the Mainstream Media

The school of literary criticism known as reception theory holds that a text should be studied in light of its effect on its contemporaries, that a reader should be aware of the “horizon of expectations” in which a text is produced. I was reminded of this the other day as I observed, in amusement, fascination, and occasional pity, the reaction of the so-called mainstream media to Alana Goodman’s lengthy and rock-solid report on “The Hillary Papers.” This trove of previously unexamined transcriptions of conversations between Hillary Clinton and her best friend Diane Blair had been collecting dust at the University

Attcks on the Clintons are beating a dead horse because nothing these people did or o has any shock value. The trup cardthe Clintons had andmaybe still do is they´regood luck charms for the economy.Clinton was pretty much a hands off president, except for his private life and then he was very hands on.

But I digress, there´s still a lot of people who probably believe the Clintons could bring the economy back but to do so would mean reversing almost all of Obama´s accursed policies and that would turn the progressives off.

I actually think Bubba wants to be back in the WH more than Hillary

I wonder if Billy will allow her to become president. She´d be stealing his thunder after all. I have an ultra lib friend who defends Obama to the death. And she loves and adores the sexual predator, too, and wants Hillary in office. I guess there are people who can turn a blind eye to the horrific nature of these two.

Gee, where´s Hillary? Once again, she´s gone into hiding rather risk having to answer questions at public appearances.
If we don´t learn from her repeated duck and cover behavior and use it to our advantage, we are stoooopid beyond imagination. All we need to do is keep vulnerable subjects front and center such as Benghazi and BJ´s predatory behavior and don´t allow them to become "old news." Hillary will stay cowered in the corner if she thinks she´d have to answer us at her rallies or appearances.

The MSM is a pathetic arm of the Democrat party. They bent over backwards to find dirt on Romney no matter how far back they had to go. Remember the dog on the roof story? What about their lies about Sarah Palin and her pregnancy? They have always let the Clintons and now the Obama´s slide and helped them. We are in this mess because of their complicity.

Mixed feelings....it is righteous indignation and the mainstream press deserve everything they get but to sabotage the present-day Clinton machine will require infiltration and a Drudge-style revelation. Hillary´s poorly-concealed alcoholism and possible lesbianism would be attacked but would dislodge the status quo.

Listen to interviews of Pete Santilli with Larry Nichols. He knows where the skeletons are and has the key to unlock the closets.
Listen to Walid Shoebat at shoebat dot com/page 2 and get filled in on the muslim brotherhood association and the ties to Hillary, obama and obama´s 3 brothers and his step-granny. Where the funds collected by Malik obama´s 501C-3 are being used.
Wonder if Holder´s recent comment about allowing individuals who have some ties to terrorists but not necessarily have thrown a device to kill should be allowed into the US. Is this to protect Malik Obama.
Remeber McCain´s defense of Huma (Carlos Danger´s wife), page 2 tells how McCain, Graham and under-secretary or deputy in the State Dept. talked with terrorist in Egypt trying to get Morsi out of prison and re-installed in the government headed by Sisi now. Was this for Hillarys benefit, obama´s, or for both of them?

Great article, but I disagree that this is the Death of the Mainstream Media. They are in fact alive, well, and united in believing not just that it is Time for a Female President, but that it is Time of THIS Female. Any journalist of a different bent will be swimming upstream. As for ´different bents´, I´d be willing to bet that most LoFos don´t even know that Billy Jeff was ever president: to them, he´s just a very old Justin Bieber. And that´s why he´s such an asset for Hillary.

Rand Paul has been criticized for bringing up BJ´s bimbo eruptions. But Paul realizes that many younger voters are completely unaware of who these creatures really are and must be educated by the right if the truth is to be known. The MSM can only be counted on to continue the lies and coverups of the Clintons. The GOP needs more leaders willing to speak truth to power as Obama liked to say.

#4 I can´t believe your intestinal fortitude to have an "ultra-liberal friend". While I make sure I´m always cordial to those who have different political ideas from mine, I long ago gave up "friendships" with people who couldn´t give my ideas any credit. I found it was useless to even talk to them - sometimes it got so bad that if I said "it´s a beautiful day" a liberal within ear-shot might disagree and tell me I was nuts. I refuse to bully anyone into seeing my point of view; therefore, I politely disagree, list a few points, and move on. At some point I trust that they will "see the light" and remember that I told them so first.

I truly smile when a liberal "sees the light". I guess my Quaker in-laws have had a very positive effect on me - they truly do believe in "gentle persuasion".

This article is only written at half power.
If it had balanced one of her many bad acts with each snobby quote from the denying socialist press, there would have been fireworks.
As this was written, there are only worthy denial quotes from the prisoners of the press who are unable to be open and truthful.
The good news is that these press people, these despicable traitors to the truth, are all lined up in one article and the can of Hillary worms has been opened again.
Now is the time to go back and read the more outrageous, less polished, less sophisticated journalists
and authors, like Larry Nichols, Peggy Noonan, Ann Coulter, Melrose Larry Green, Terry Reed, Martin L Gross, Karl Limbacher and endless early Wall Street Journal articles on the crimes of Hilary and Bill. It´s just the beginning of two co-ruthless, destructive lives.

How to make a cigar taste better than it is helped neuter Communism in the Clintons second term. It also brought US eight years of the great George W. Bush as a respite. I always thought Bill should have married young Lewinsky he would have been much happier than with a witch.

Hillary has always been ruthless and vindictive. Besides calling Bill´s philandering victims "whiney women" she also called them "bimbo eruptions." She not only disparages, but also tries to destroy anybody who gets in her way. (E.g., the White House travel office)

Heaven help us if she is elected President. But, you can be sure the MSM will do their best to get her elected.

The "Death of the Mainstream Media" is wishful thinking. There are still too many people who accept what the MSM tells them without question. How else do you explain Obama´s re-election?

Yes, the Clinton years were pretty good for the econemy, however, not necessarily due to any thing Clinton did. The credit must go to the fact that for most of his terms, he had to deal with a Republican controled congress.

As for Hillary, it´s become a knee jerk response of the MSM to scream about "old news" as concerns just about any liberal. It´s gotten to the point that if something was said or done, then it must be "old news". The founding fathers would be horified to see what the media and the entire government have become.

President Obama is lending his political support to fellow community organizer Al Sharpton by headlining the MSNBC host’s National Action Network (NAN) conference this week in New York. Obama’s choice to headline the conference underscores the close ties of the two leaders and provides an increased sense of political legitimacy to the controversial leader and his much-maligned organization. Sharpton’s conference is held in April "not just to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, but to honor his legacy by proactively engaging in dialogue that will spawn change." Democrats know their biggest problem in this year’s midterm election is Obamacare. So top party operatives have settled on a strategy to try blunting the GOP’s advantage: Tell voters Republicans would make the problem worse — raising prescription drug prices, empowering insurance companies and even endangering domestic violence victims. The battle plan, details of which were in a memo obtained by POLITICO, recognizes the unpopularity of the Affordable Care Act. But it also banks on voter fatigue with the GOP’s relentless demands for repeal and counts on poll-backed data that show many Americans would rather fix Obamacare’s problems than scrap it

He is the man who killed Trayvon Martin, and while he was acquitted of murder in their fatal street encounter, the fact remains that an unarmed black teenager is dead. Since the Florida trial that became a media sensation, Zimmerman has had several run-ins with law enforcement. After his wife left him, his 27-year-old girlfriend called police and said he had aimed a shotgun at her, and authorities arrested him and temporarily confiscated a shotgun, assault-style rifle and three handguns.

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
