Justice Department to give married
same-sex couples equal protection

Washington Post, by Sari Horwitz

The Justice Department on Monday will instruct all of its employees across the country, for the first time, to give lawful same-sex marriages sweeping equal protection under the law in every program it administers, from courthouse proceedings to prison visits to the compensation of surviving spouses of public safety officers. In a new policy memo, the department will spell out the rights of same-sex couples, including the right to decline to give testimony that might incriminate their spouses, even if their marriages are not recognized in the state where the couple lives. Under the Justice Department policy, federal inmates in

It seems the "equal" protection is that under 0bamacare, he´s going to deny their claims for drugs to combat AIDS. Like the King Henry VIII of the Church of England, he will grant them "marriage" rights. Wonder what Pope Francis will say to him when 0bama visits him soon.

I am SO SICK of this phoney claim that homos do not have "equal rights"...they have EXACTLY the same rights as everyone else!!..That is, they can marry ANYONE OF THE OPPOSITE SEX...Same right as you and I have.

What they want is ADDITIONAL rights...and to do this they want to re-define the conventional and legal entity known as "Marriage". ( In your face, heteros!..., is what this is all really about)

So (and I know they hate this argument because it shows the folly of their "demand")...can I re-define "marriage " in order to marry my sister ...?? ... aunt ...?? ...cat??...it´s the same argument ... "marriage " as ,sane people know it, has to be discarded to accommodate those who want to legally bully the rest of us into accepting their lifestyle choice.

I totally agree, #9, these people don´t want EQUAL rights, they want to be treated better than the rest of us conventional people. The demands will never stop because they are SPECIAL.

Next thing you know they will be demanding compensation because the children are denied all of the benefits that only a male and a female parent can provide.

Just what else is the Justice Department going to give away? What new thing will they decide requires a decree? No matter what they want you to believe, this is a slippery slope. Who will dare reject the idea of bigamy? After all, if they love each other, why should they not be able to marry. If that is the premise, there is no end to the redefining of marriage.

I was watching the Olympics the other night; watching as one of United States Olympians won gold. I was not excited about it like I use to be. I also noticed I didn´t care if other countries won metals or not. I didn´t like the way I felt but couldn´t figure out why; why the apathy.
Then it dawned on me that I no longer feel like a part of the United State. My Country is not the same country I grew up in. My Country has changed for the worse. My Country has moved away from me and doesn´t like my type anymore. I no longer feel that I belong to My Country.
Because I am a Conservative Christian, My Country now accuses me of being a bigot, judgmental, a racist, a homophobic hate monger and a hater of women´s rights and minority rights. My Country no longer cares what I think and want´s me to either change or shut up. I use to be in the majority, now I am in the minority. Christianity use to be the norm, now it´s the exception. My Country use to believe our rights came from a Higher Power, God, that everyone recognized and feared, but now there is no God and we are all gods... with fewer rights.
People use to be judged by right and wrong, now there is no right or wrong and judgment is taboo; we all need to be tolerant of everyone and everything. I didn´t change, My Country changed; and not for the better.
Makes me sick! But then Jesus said that if they hated Him, they will hate His followers.

Washington - The National Archives on Friday released its largest batch yet of previously withheld documents from the Clinton administration, with topics including the conflicts in Somalia and Rwanda, Middle East peace negotiations, the Oklahoma City bombing and public figures as varied as Richard M. Nixon and Oprah Winfrey. The bundle that is likely to receive the most attention, though, is one that covers Hillary Rodham Clinton’s ill-fated attempt as first lady to overhaul the health care system. Mrs. Clinton, who ran for president in 2008, is considering a second attempt in 2016. Here are some notable sections:

Washington - The CIA’s former top lawyer disputes Senate findings that the spy agency lied about its brutal interrogations of terrorists, insisting the tactics produced useful intelligence and flatly denying that the CIA misled the former Bush administration, Congress and the American public. At the same time, John Rizzo, who left the CIA as acting general counsel in 2009, said some CIA employees or contractors were overzealous in the use of the tactics but that the CIA informed lawyers at the Justice Department of the excesses. Rizzo was responsible for helping to create the legal foundation for permitting waterboarding,

General Motors Co said it would ask a U.S. court to bar lawsuits related to actions before its 2009 bankruptcy, signaling a tougher stance toward legal claims stemming from its recent recall over faulty ignition switches. GM has said it is protected from liability for claims related to incidents that occurred before it exited bankruptcy in 2009, and has taken steps to raise those issues with the court by filing motions to stay recall-related lawsuits while it asks that bankruptcy court to clarify the extent of that protection. In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday, GM asked for a stay on litigation

Its name is the Ribbon of Saint George. Imbued with history, it’s a powerful symbol in the ongoing information battle over Ukraine. For Russians it´s a mark of allegiance to the state – both the fearsome, expansionist Russian state of old and its modern successor under President Vladimir Putin. When pro-Russia rallies took place last December, seeking to rival the Maidan demonstrations in Kiev, very few ribbons were seen.
