Clinton deserves Christie-level scrutiny
Boston Globe, by Joan Vennochi

Original Article

Posted By:ketchuplover, 1/21/2014 1:05:15 AM

Time Magazine’s current cover depicts a tiny man hanging onto the heel of a shoe that’s emerging from a pant-suit wearing leg. “Can Anyone Stop Hillary?” reads the accompanying text. Maybe, if the cover also showed her tripping over the Senate Intelligence Committee’s just-released report on the attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, while she was secretary of state. If New Jersey Governor Chris Christie must answer for four days of traffic jams on roads leading to the George Washington Bridge, surely Clinton has the same obligation to address a deadly assault that the bipartisan committee found “preventable.”

Comments:
She has "deserved" scrutiny for most of her life. Will it start now? She was never scrutinized in 2008 on her first attempt for the White House.

She has been treated like some sort if untouchable queen of the land ever since she was a junior Senator. If the young Kennedy had not perished in that plane crash, we might have been spared all of this. The GOP, led by the Bushes, have never uttered but the tiniest criticisms of her so what do we expect? When the House finally had her sitting there, they were too chicken to rough her up about Benghazi! Did she even take the oath? We can´t even find out!

There is a graphic photo of Ambassador Stevens being tortured circulating on the internet. It ought to be enough to end any aspirations the Clinton woman has to be president and maybe enough to turn off the irrationally bewitched who will cast their vote for her.

#2, thank you for the information. If House and Senate emails, and every news outlet, were flooded with those horrible pictures of Ambassador Stevens being tortured, perhaps they would understand that the American people know about it and that it does make a difference to WTP.

It is unbelievable that this could happen to a US Ambassador - not to mention the others who lost their lives - and none be held accountable.

There comes a time when a political party learns to give as good as it gets. The Republican Party has not learned that. The only thing they apparently find effective is taking the high road. Look where that has gotten us. It is exactly why we have leaders in the democrat party like Obama, Clinton, Reid, Pelosi, Biden, etc. Our attitude toward Hillary was evident during the investagative hearings in congress. This woman had denied security to her employees begging for it and then lied to their grieving families. All the Republicans could do was praise her service to this country. Really? That´s the best they could do for the families heartbroken with grief. There was little urgency or desire to question her highness. The little temper tantrum she threw should have been thrown right back in her face. Like many of you, I wait for the Republicans to find their spines with little hope of that happening. There is no saving this country if the Republican Party won´t confront this administration over their outrageous acts. Right now, they appear to be nothing more than enablers. They certainly are not given to confrontation.

Since we all know the media will continue to cover her ample arse it will be up to US to keep Benghazi in the forefront. It is her only true vulnerability. So the question is: How many of US are willing to actually get off OUR duffs and show up en masse at all of her public appearances? She has a history of going into hiding when threatened and we´ve GOT to take advantage of that. We CAN keep her at bay.
Are you willing to show up peacefully and resolutely whenever her schedule brings her to a nearby venue? How much does it mean to you to keep her out of the Presidency?

That´s a ton of death, all building up to the assassinations at Benghazi.

Is the Hildebeast in hiding again? Is the Tea Party keeping track on her itinerary? Do we know of her next public appearances? Are the Breitbartian inspired cameras out there, at the ready? Mickey Rooney, the pint-sized actor who was one of MGM’s giant box office attractions in the late ’30s and early ’40s, died on Sunday. He was 93. As adept at comedy as drama and an excellent singer and dancer, Rooney was regarded as the consummate entertainer. During a prolific career on stage and screen that spanned eight decades (“I’ve been working all my life, but it seems longer,” he once said), he was nominated for four Academy Awards and received two special Oscars, the Juvenile Award in 1939 (shared with Deanna Durbin) and one in 1983 for his body of work.

Last week, news broke that a congressional candidate in Gainesville had a secret pastime: impersonating vampires. And superheroes. Some people would call this nutty. In Florida, we just call it Tuesday. Seriously, that´s not even our highest-profile vampire story. Remember the "vampire killings" from Lake County? Some of our stories are heartbreakingly tragic. But so many are also mind-numbingly strange. In Florida, we do weird the way Kansas does wheat. Here, giant pet snakes escape. And breed. And then invade our national parks.
