Palin: ´Not Surprising´ Katie
Couric´s Show Got Canceled

Breitbart Big Journalism, by Tony Lee

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Katie Couric left two prominent shows at CBS and ABC because Americans just did not want to tune in to watch her. When Extra´s Mario Lopez asked Palin on Friday about the cancellation of Couric´s talk show, Palin said she remembered "getting a couple of texts that said things like, ´Oh sorry that it didn’t work out there at CBS or ABC.´" Palin was referring to Couric´s departure from CBS after ratings for the network´s evening newscast tanked with Couric as the anchor. One must salute Couric for her ability to separate show business executives from their money. She made tens of millions of dollars from her cancelled show while they got nothing.

Actually, there are quite a few marginally talented journalists who have managed to make buckets of money in media jobs. It´s interesting that as things have sifted out since Governor Palin´s debut on the national stage, she has done very very well and her enemies not so much. God bless her.

Canceled is another word for we´ll find you another show and tell America how much you were missed. Then you can stuff more millions in the bank as you demonstrate your love for all the little people you´ve deigned to touch with your missing love and wit and wisdom. How I wish my vote were enough to make it certain she´d never be seen again.

Once again, bitter feelings are being cast in the direction of Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. With the House passing the “clean” debt ceiling bill and sending it to the Democratic-controlled Senate, it was clear that this particular bill was going to be passed and sent to the president for his signature. But Cruz didn´t want to let Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., off the hook and give President Obama a blank check to once again increase the debt ceiling as we are drowning in red ink. He didn't want Republicans to simply vote against the bill, hiding behind the Democrat majority who were sure to pass it.
