How political correctness

The night of Sept. 1, 2009, Echo Platoon of Navy SEAL Team 10 headed out into the Fallujah night. Their goal: concluding a five-year search for the al Qaeda killer who had been responsible for the shocking 2004 murders of four American military contractors — one of them an ex-SEAL — whose bodies were then burned, dragged through the streets and hanged from a bridge. This night the SEALs departed with these words from their commanding officer: “Gents, stay sharp, and expect a firefight.” In the event, no shots were fired, but the SEALs faced another kind of ambush: a humiliating,

FTA: ´´Commanders were “neurotic” about Abu Ghraib, writes Robinson. All realized that any hint of unpunished abuse anywhere in their chains of command could be lethal to their careers.´´

Those two sentences pretty much tell the story. And these are the men that obama is appointing to higher ranks. The actual warriors? Lock ´em up.

There seems to be little honor amoung the commanders who would value their career trajectory more than they do the men who serve under them. Punish those who do commit prove able illegal acts but fight like heck to protect your men from false accusations. Unless there was proof positive of abuse, why would you ever take the word of the enemy.

FTA: “When I think of those complacent prosecutors and investigators, deaf to our protests, I’ll always feel that rising anger I used to reserve for the enemy.”

That would be because such politically correct prosecutors, investigators, and military officers ARE the enemy, just as surely as if they were with Al Qaeda.

I encourage everyone to read the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Lutrell. The movie also just came out (I haven´t seen it yet to determine if it does the book justice). Another example of how our brave men are handcuffed on the field of battle. They feared this very thing.

It is not just the left. Keep electing elites back to the Senate and House and you will keep getting the same. Same critics will vote for the establishment politicians instead of those who are primarying them. McConnell, Cornyn, Boehner, Thad Cochran, Portman and others need to go. Until moderates like Karl Rove are put out of the loop it will remain the same. Just one look at the veteran hating Paul Ryan and you see what I mean.

This article states that these soldiers "no longer possessed the same fire to serve".

One of the major goals of this administration is to remove America as a world power!
To do this they have to destroy both our financial power and our military power. Obamacare, printing money and open borders will take care of the first goal.

With regard to the military they have to get rid of competent commanders (check), and do a few ludicrous things like this to annihilate morale (check), and change their uniforms to make all the gay men they added to the military happy (check).

It seems to me that instead of conclusively winning the war in Iraq, we were a tad more interested in pacifying the country. If you go to war, you break things, and I think our leaders forgot that principle.

Sometimes we are such "babes in the woods". I think it is our Judeo/Christian values which can´t comprehend that there are millions of people who don´t hold our same values. When did we last win a war? If I am right, it was WWII where we certainly did "break things" - thank God!

Islam, as we all know, is not a "religion of peace" as Muslims bill themselves; otherwise, why would their disciples commit such horrible atrocities as beheading and other unspeakable acts?

Please tell me when do Muslims volunteer to go anywhere in the world to help after a devastating earthquake, or a hurricane-ravaged town, or a tsunami, or a volcano erupts? Our military and our churches always go to help. I just wish there was little gratitude. When we are no longer there for people, they can all stew in their own juice as far as I am concerned. Let them call on their Mohammed - let´s see what old Moham does for them.

When we have a military full of time-servers and promotion-chasers who will toe the party line rather than focus first and foremost on their mission, we are in deep, deep trouble. You have to be willing to resign at any time if you are to have any credibility in a serious position.

Westinson, who left the prisoner alone, thereby causing the controversy, will be a marked man and will get his just due one day. The sense of honor among SEALs is what makes them what they are. You don´t want to make enemies of any of them.

The military will also pay for this mistreatment of its finest. It´s far safer to shoot a captured enemy than to take the chance of somebody finding something PC wrong with the capture. Imagine the world-wide circus if bin Laden had been captured alive.

Some people in our military are more supportive of the enemy than our own soldiers. Reminds me of what happened during Vietnam when our soldiers were vilified. This is all meant to destroy our military and turn it against the people as a ´PC police´ force. More and more, soldiers are forced out or quit out of frustration.

I understand how hated he is and how hard it would be to do your job honorably these days, but doesn´t that trump your comfort? Why wouldn´t the good officers and those under them do anything to keep their jobs and uphold their oaths?

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

Jeb Bush said Wednesday he´s "thinking about running for president," in his most direct statement yet about a possible 2016 run. The former Florida governor spoke at a Catholic school benefit in New York Wednesday morning. He previously has said he´ll make a decision on whether to run for president before the end of this year, making clear that he was considering the possibility. But his comments on Wednesday appeared to be more direct. Asked what his "immediate plans" were, he said, according to an attendee: "I´m thinking about running for president." The answer was met with applause and a standing ovation, after

It may not be tomorrow, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says "something will happen" to force a Nevada rancher to obey a court order to stop grazing his cattle on federal land and pay his grazing fees. "It´s obvious that you can´t just walk away from this," Reid said in an April 18 interview with a Nevada´s KSNV-TV News 3 program “What’s Your Point?” "You can´t have a law that is -- we´re a nation of laws, not of men and women," he said. (Video) Reid noted that most cattlemen pay their taxes, pay their fees, and follow

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons. The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Wisconsin Republican who is asking a federal court to overturn Obamacare’s special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs. “The unlawful executive action at issue in this case is not an isolated incident,” the brief

Today is Earth Day. Fox News’ The Five opened its show with a nearly 15 minute segment titled “Earth Day Hysteria.” The goal appeared to be to prove that scientists’ warnings about climate change are overblown and should be ignored if not outright mocked and co-host Eric Bolling was the ringleader of the effort. But he found an adversary in Bob Beckel, who challenged the status quo by presenting actual data on the rise of CO2 levels from NASA, of all places. But before Beckel got to his chart, Bolling took some time to “praise” President Barack Obama for what
