Rev. Jackson: Phil Robertson ´More
Offensive´ Than Rosa Parks Bus Driver

ABC News, by Michael Rothman

Original Article

Posted By:bamapreacher, 12/25/2013 2:48:04 PM

Jesse Jackson has decided to weigh in on the inflammatory comments that Phil Robertson made to GQ about gays and African Americans. In an interview with Drew Magary, the "Duck Dynasty" star said the Nazis needed Jesus, that he never saw the mistreatment of African Americans while growing up in Louisiana before the civil rights era and that homosexuality was a sin. A&E has already suspended Robertson, but Reverend Jackson, his Rainbow PUSH Coalition and GLAAD are demanding to meet with network execs, along with Cracker Barrel´s CEO, to discuss the future of all "Duck Dynasty" memorabilia or content.

Comments:
Obviously Revvum Jackson doesn´t believe what the Bible says. That tells us all we need to know about his personal "religion." He´s a disgrace to his race, his religion and humanity.

He´s referring to the comments Robertson made about his neighbors in the Democrat-led, Jim Crow south.

Of course, the comments were not more offensive than the Rosa Park bus driver. Jackson just wants a talking point for fund raising.

Arguments that don´t get made. What is worse, one thousand blacks dying in American slavery (in a certain period) or ten thousand blacks dying in the "projects" (ghettoes) manufactured by Democrat Johnson´s "Great Society" in the same period?

Jackson wants to remove all DD merchandise from QB because Phil Robertson DIDN´T SEE something?

What´s he going to do if QB refuses? Send Obama´s sons to cause trouble?

This is one of those failed black man who would rather let an old lady argue about riding on the back of a bus. Meanwhile, he´s been riding the gravy train with all the stupid white corporations that fear his form of extortion. If he wasn´t a coward, he wouldn´t hide behind his "title" and wear a suit to a real fight.

Keep pulling the wrong way, Jesse. Folks in Chicago who attended a Sharpton town hall meeting are sounding a lot like Tea Party folks. Too much b.s. from the establishment - that´s you, Jesse - eventually gets on everyone´s nerves.

You can call Jackson all kinds of name, but none is more suitable than "social Prostitute". I was down south during a lot of the civil rights times, and I didn´t see any abuse of blacks, the fact that I didn´t see any is not my conclusion that it never happened, it means, "I DIDN´T SEE IT". Can you figures dat out Revrum?

There is no racist/sexist remark or behavior that can´t be forgiven through the cleansing and healing power generated by a LARGE donation to the Rainbow coalition.

#1 is more right-on than most folks are aware. This is the M O of so many leftist groups. Search out with a fine comb ANY statement not approved by the orthodoxy, then make huge mountain out of anthill. It garners loads of attention, free advertising actually, and yes, it becomes a means for raising money. Ol Jessie couldn´t let the opportunity pass with just gays cashing in - so he had to challenge what Robertson recollected as his own personal observations. Considering the time frame, logistics, and lack of social media and information available (perhaps he didn´t have a TV then)who is Jesse to say PR´s memories aren´t true? And really - must we STILL drag up the Rosa Parks incident as if it´s still relevant? Here? Really?

Jackson can´t stand it when another person or group gets all the attention. He has to jump in and turn it around making it all about race. That way he can keep on milking the fatted calf for money to his "foundation" which he can spend on himself. His son who is in prison learned well from his shakedown father.

I have two things to say.

1) I´m a few years younger than PR, I grew up in South Eastern Oklahoma as oilfield/trailer trash, and was bullied in nearly every town we moved through. In middle school, our trailer park was just across the highway from N-word hill, and one of my best friends--who stopped at our house and walked to school with us every morning--was a black girl that I was jealous of because her allowance was $10 when mine was only $.50 per week. At the time I didn´t realize it was because her family could not budget more for a better home in a "nice" part of town, I only "saw" she could buy lots of records and stuff that could not, I "didn´t see" the bad things that happened, and she was never treated any worse than I was.

2) Around that time, an older black man who worked with my Dad, said some words I will never forget:

You po´ bastids and us N-words get along all right because we have to work together to feed our kids, its those "Cullored folks" who can´t get along with "Cawcayshuns" ´cause they have too much time to think.

It is still true today, working people usually judge only the work habits of co-workers regardless of race, but the "educated classes" spend at lot of time worrying about the opinions of people they will never meet, especially never meet as equals.

What Phil Robinson said had nothing to do with Rosa Parks, or so-called white privilege a term that appears to have been recently invented in an attempt to dredge up white guilt.

When Robinson mentioned working with black folks in the cotton fields as a boy he was referring to remembrances that he had from his childhood, and even in the now obsolete "Jim Crow" time it is very possible that Robinson and the black people who he worked with were apolitical and among themselves were pretty happy people. Robinson was just expressing his opinion and that has nothing to do with any law.

Came to the South, New Orleans to be exact, in the 60´s after my class trip to SE Asia, with a native New Orleanian, and the first time in the French Quarter, we had lunch and there were blacks at the lunch counter. I was surprised, but my buddy said it was no big thing. Being from the enlightened North, I was surprised, but he´s right, it´s no big thing. For the next 33 years, as an oilfield supervisor, I made many black friends, both as employees and as bosses! Still have them today!

My fellow Ldotters have been extremely articulate in indicating the person who is most offensive, here. Also truly offensive are the lies told about Robertson´s quote. He was merely recounting his impressions at the time and place indicated. It was not a blanket statement. But the truth, when inconvenient, never gets in the Jackson´s way.

Well, the lies from the homosexual lobby backfired, so Jesse is bringing in the race baiting brigade for reinforcement of their lies and to add some of his own.

Phil´s quote: “I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field . . . They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say “’I tell you what: Those doggone white people’ – not a word! . . . . Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was crying the blues”.

He seems to be saying that government welfare and entitlement programs have done more harm than good to black families.

Where most of the blacks he was around, before those programs, were hard-working, raising their families, living godly, happy lives despite their hardships, the aftermath of years of entitlement and welfare programs has caused changes for the worse in how a large percentage of black people live their lives.

contd.

Many have fallen prey to leftist indoctrination that has compounded that destruction and misery with a negative outlook and hopeless attitude of victimhood that blames their problems on racism and looks to dependence on government to take care of them and make them happy.
That is an honest assessment of changes in the black community from his perspective. It is not an expression of hatred and bigotry.

I pray that honesty overcomes the lies in the resulting debate, that it opens as many eyes to the leftist lies of race baiters and political manipulators as it has to the lies of homosexual activists, and that it gives God-fearing black people, and others, the insight and courage to stand for freedom instead of allowing themselves to continue to be enslaved and used as political pawns to their own detriment and that of our country.

Honesty demands something greater than skin color to inspire unity, and it certainly demands Someone more holy than "Revs" Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and even Barack Obama.

Very powerful post, #30. Well said. Very open, honest, and similar to what Phil Robertson said. Thank you.

Obviously Revvum Jackson doesn´t believe what the Bible says. That tells us all we need to know about his personal "religion." He´s a disgrace to his race, his religion and humanity.

I am sure Rosa Parks would love that comparison between Jackson and Robertson. SOME PEOPLE LIVE THEIR FAITH, OTHERS JUST USE IT.

He gets a pass because he´s the good Reverend, and he´s black. The businesses sign up because they don´t want to be dragged thru the mud by Jackson and NBC.

The Rev ought to among the first to be forced to leave the Temple.

Sorry, "REV", you have wasted your entire life living in a world of hate and false accusations. You could never do enough in the time you have left on this earth to cover, erase or correct the damage you´ve done to yourself and your race.

Justice will be served, but not necessarily in this life. Keep that in mind, "REV"!

Put simply, this cruel, ambulance chasing opportunist, is a Communist agitator, specializing in currying racist agitation at every opportunity on the willing, agitating, mainstream dying media. All the MSM and Hollywood commies love him because he inflames the differences between the races, unlike true religious figures (Iike Billy Graham, Joel Osteen), who preach for harmony among all people.

Booker T. Washington had slugs like Jackson pegged over 100 years ago when he said:"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don´t want the patient to get well."
Racism pays and pays well and Jesse Jackson has made himself and others very wealthy as a result!

Rosa Parks was an ACLU operation..thus though she certainly deserved a seat on the bus, she was working for a communist organization.

Jesse Jackson is anything but reverend. He blackmails using race baiting tactics to line his own filthy pockets...which is how he ended up with an Anhauser Bush distributorship that resides in his sons names.

A and E and GQ are not surprisingly run by gays with a political agenda. Gay rights is more about limiting others rights and demanding their perverse agenda gain traction while silencing those who oppose the normalization of sodomy and man-boy sex. Their backers are GLAAD, NAMBLA and the communîsts and Marxists who support them.

Phil Robertson expressed his own opinion based upon his beliefs and the writings of the bible. He represented himself. He blackmailed no one. He gained NO renumeration.

In context, some things begin to flunk the smell test....
However...While the people are distracted by this, one wonders exactly what operation is underway that cuts the legs off of America.

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this
