Into Year 6, Obama admits he’s clueless
Washington Times, by Joseph Curl

What a depressing presidency Barack Obama has wrought. Waltzing into office five years ago with the media’s shameless aid on a high-school-style campaign pledge of “Hope and Change,” the former community organizer from Chicago spent his last press conference of the year apologizing for everything he’s done wrong — then announcing he’s “eager to skip town” to Hawaii for “a couple days of sleep and sun.” Well, 17, but who’s counting. One truly has to wonder how the vaunted White House staff of advisers and sycophants came up with the battle plan for Friday’s presser, the last of a terrible year:

This pathetic punk isn´t even qualified to be a door greeter at your local Walmart, with all due respect to Walmart door greeters. Why he even bothers with these press conferences, and the media´s continuous worshipfull pandering is nothing short of astounding.
Imagine any of us LDotters getting away with no accountability at our respective jobs....no I can´t either.

Whether we want to admit it or not the old media still has a lot of clout in this country. They could all be operating at a loss and still have the same clout. For one thing they drove the republicans to their sorry image, admittingly they did it to themselves in large part by making Boehner the face of the party. I mean who´s going to rally around this guy.Boehner has friends and allies who don´t want to see him hurt personally or they would ask him to step aside and make Gowdy the face of the party. The good ole boy network hurts the party´s image and they need some fresh faces.

But more importantly, they were as all over Obamacare as much as the red media and that´s the only reason Obama´s in a hole right now.The media has willfully ignored all the other Obama debacles or his approvals would be in the teens.

The red media probably only has a 40% reach in this country and that´s mostly preaching to the choir.Limbaugh is the biggest proof of this by having the largest conservative audience there is and Clinton and Obama survived his carping to win twice each.

It´s easy for obama and his media allies to bury stories because they control all the internet´s main homepage. They mix celebrity garbage in with what Obama´s doing to make him look tuned inwith the pop culture. You can be a huge fad one day and a nobody the next.

Road to Damascus

OBAMA: [sipping a Mai Tai on the beach during conference call] It’s bad, isn’t it?
JOE BIDEN: Yeah, Boss.
OBAMA: How bad?
BIDEN: At your impeachment trial, I’ll vote to convict if there’s a tie.
But don’t worry; it’ll never get that far.
OBAMA: Thank God! I was afraid . . .
JAY CARNEY: The Senate won’t need Biden’s swing vote, sir.
OBAMA: Oh. What happens, happens. There’s always my family.
VALERIE JARRETT: Michelle, her mother, and the kids left for Chicago last night, Barack.
OBAMA: Nobody told me. At least I have my trusted aides like you and Jay and . . .
CARNEY: We’re back in D. C. getting Joe ready for the big time, sir.
OBAMA: [looking around] Hey, where are my Secret Service people?
VALERIE: Um, your detail is now augmenting mine.
OBAMA: I’m going to walk to town, get a coconut shaved ice and a coupla chili dogs, and give all this some thought.

[On the road, a blinding white light stops Obama cold; a voice comes out of the sky]

Barack, Barack. Have you forgotten everything I taught you?

OBAMA: Saul? Saul Alinsky, is that you?
ALINSKY: Who else? In a minute I must return to the pit. Listen carefully.

Go back to Washington. Citing Congress’s abysmal ratings, dissolve the legislature and call for new elections in 2016. Summon your advisors, your PR people, and your bundlers. Tell them you’ve just had a ‘’Road to Damascus’’ moment,” the scales have fallen from your eyes, and you now know what you must do.
OBAMA: Which is?
ALINSKY: Spend the next three years finishing what you started: the destruction of the American way of life. In time, there will be a place for you down here. I’ll use my influence to get you a spot with a little draft.

The presidency of Barack Obama is like the plane ride of the 9/11 hijackers that was thwarted by Todd Beamer and the heroic citizens onboard. America is the ultimate target of that plane. Obama and his suicide band of socialists are flying it crazily. Some on board are scared. Some are becoming aware that it is purposely being flown to wreak the destruction of America.

Where are the Todd Beamers in Congress? In the Supreme Court? Where are the everyday ordinary but extraordinary citizens who know he must be stopped at all cost?

#6, The Republicans have to WANT to save it. I don´t see many who will risk the media firestorm or political pressure to do what is needed. Can´t for the life of me understand how these men and women can be silent when they have the ability to do something. The leadership is abysmal. Like minded conservatives should form a coalition and go around the leadership and call a press conference on the Capitol steps to clearly define their solutions. Waiting for the Republican leadership to act, is futile. They are either incompetent or complicit. They have missed a golden opportunity to lead and they should be ashamed that they could not build a real opposition to the biggest threat this country has ever faced. When they could have made a difference, they failed miserably and the people will not forget.

What an incredibly horrible embarrassment for our country. We have elected an arrogant, egocentric, incompetent child to lead the greatest country in the history of mankind. In five short years he has brought us to the brink of collapse. It is obvious that this much damage to the republic could only be accomplished if done purposefully. He is a thinly veiled enemy of the country he is supposed to be leading. Everyone knows it and yet he survives. That there are media institutions ready and willing to carry his water is a testament to how low their standards have fallen. The fifth estate which was supposed to act as a check against uncontrolled power has instead become the dictator´s cheering squad. God help us if we don´t do something to correct this gross error soon.

My burning question is ~ when the country goes to Hell in a handcart, do the libs think they will not be hurt too? Do they not own stock or 401K´s? Won´t they have to use a wheel barrow full of $$ just to buy bread like conservatives will? Will they not be required to stand in a food line with the conservatives? When there is another terrorist attack in this country, will only conservatives be killed or injured?

And that damn Tea Party, calling for a return to American values, Constitutional government, freedom of religion and getting government out of our personal lives.

Who do these people think they are... voters.

What amazes me and at the same time gets my goat are the Charles Krauthammers in the world.
We all know he voted for Obama once and possibly twice before he went rabid against the klutzy clueless idiot.
I knew who Obama was in 2006 while he was in Chicago and I´m not from there. Alan Keyes gave us plenty of insight about Obama and Valarie Jarrett.
Obama wasn´t going to win anything with just the black vote it was the stupid whites that helped elect him. It was about one thing only, his skin pigmentation.
Obama is a communist and he is not going to stop as long as the do nothing Republicans act the way they do. Washington is awash with power hungry, tax cheats, taxpayer money stealing thieves. We have no government.
Judges overture elections, there´s a communist cabal of know nothing misfits with Obama as their leader and preparing for 2016 to roll over Republicans with another communist, Hillary Clinton.
Ted Cruz is our only hope not Chris, where´s the buffet, Christie.
Obama will ´NOT´ be impeached he will get his six years and circumvent the Constitution at every turn while the Republicans act like a Jeff Durnam dummy. Color me mad!

That´s a great question, #12. The same goes for the head liberal in the White House and President Jarrett. When everything is burning and the people are storming the gates in Washington, what good is their power and influence going to be then? They may have some good hiding places but they will be found. AA1 can´t stay in the air forever. No other country in the world is going to offer asylum to the US Government Mafia without taking all of their treasure.

Liberals must think that the underground bunkers built to house the ruling elite when the balloon goes up have room for all liberals. They will soon find that, like the animals in Orwell´s great book, "some pigs are more equal than others." I plan to form a huge hunting party and reservations are being taken now. There will be no bag limit.

They are either the lib-elite who think their messiah will protect/bail them out, or they are really not the smartest people in the room. (gasp!) I’m just a dumb farmer from fly-over and I had it figured out before he was elected the first time. Dr. Krauthammer and the state media members who are just now waking up disgust me.

Maybe it’s some sort of Ivory Tower miasma—fogging their brains and keeping them from seeing truth.

# 2 The msm socialist media has immensely more power/control than the conservative media. They control all of the major networks, all but one of the major news net works, almost all of the print news including AP, reuters, and others major news sources. They control practically all the talk programs. They all work in concert with one another on all major stories and they can either bury the news on page 14, not report it, distort it, slant it, not investigate it or lie about it. They spin the news together, as they best can help their socialist agenda giving the right a crum from time to time, when there is no other choice. Hollywood is in on the gig, too. They all should be tried as traitors to our nation. Folks wonder why the conservatives are scared to say a word...it is the corrupt anti American msm. If we had an honest media, we wouldn´t be in such a sorry state...as we find ourselves today.

#11 is mostly correct about DeLay - - but let´s place the blame for the 0bama disaster squarely where it belongs - - on the head of George W. Bush.

We waited our entire adult lifetimes for the Pubbies to control both the White House and Congress - - and when it happened we expected Bush to expand and solidify the Reagan Revolution.

But - - Bush didn´t want to be Reagan. He wanted to be LBJ and/or FDR. So instead of eliminating the New Deal and Great Society programs - - Bush expanded them.

He was aided and abetted by craven traitors like DeLay, Lott, Hastert, Stevens, Specter, et al - - but the bulk of the blame for the treachery goes to Bush. And we´ve all been screwed since - - 0bama only being the personification of the treason.

#5, might I suggest that Duck Dynasty and its leader, Phil Robertson, as the answer to your question? They aren´t real pretty - shaved and neat, but they may be the best we have right now.

I don´t think Todd Beamer and the other heroes of 9/11 thought that morning that they should look a certain way for their appearance "on stage."

Thinking about what our country has been through since 9/11 breaks my heart. Satan was lurking in the shadows before 2008 and 2012, but now it´s almost as if he feels comfortable coming out into the open.

When 9/11/2001 happened, President George W. Bush rose to the occasion with courage and determination to face down Evil. After eight years of relentless pounding by the Democrats and the MSM, the Lurking Shadow thought he had "accomplished his mission" to not only tarnish President Bush but also to destroy those who still believed in American Exceptionalism and that "God shed His grace on thee" as the song goes.

It is my ardent hope that there is a special place in Hades reserved for those who tried to smear President Bush and America. The two entities, MSM and the conniving Democrats were, IMHO, the Lurking Satan who were just hacked off after the 2000 election when they lost some of their power.

I suspect that Obama is just a puppet of someone or something more sinister, but until he is refuted by a huge majority of Americans in 2014, his strangle-hold will only tighten.

Bless you, #4 - great post - it helps to cheer me up.

Obama´s "Incredible Shrinking Presidency" reminds me of some lost episode of the Twilight Zone. Some schmuck makes a deal with the Devil and enjoys all the glamour and riches in the world, for a while. Then the Devil wants his payment due (the poor schmuck´s soul) but the schmuck refuses. Then one thing after another goes wrong, the schmuck loses all his riches and fame. So go ahead and make your payment to the Devil, you schmuck Obama and get out of our lives!

Years ago, when it was first revealed that some young legislator from Chicago, with a strange-sounding name people kept getting confused with Osama bin Laden, had a record of voting “Present” on most of the bills up for his consideration, that was a “tell,” as they say in the world of card sharks.

By voting “Present,” he didn’t commit. Rather, he played it safe. His handlers sold that as being the sign of a deep thinker. I perceived it as clueless. Gutless, too! But, what the heck did I know!

It took His Nibs five years to finally admit he’s clueless? Five years? What took ya so long, Barack? Or whatever your name is.

Today we have another exemplary Lucianne selected article where the Ldotter comments, many of them timeless classics, are not only superior to the original article, but are the most accurate voice of reality in America today at this crucial moment in our lives.
Oh, to be in the same room with bigfatslob, The Architect, Joe van, Spidey, sagman, planetgeo, Rinctum, Strike 3, rocket scientist, me opinionated Nah, and so many others, then top it off with ringleader, Lucianne, and her tireless staff! There would be a lengthy world shaking party providing hours of Youtubes, off market underworld videos that would result in the firings of all the destroyers we hate, from DC to New York, from Boehner to Sawyer! It would be the closest thing to a peaceful world changing event since Paddy Chayefsky´s
monumental classic scene of Peter Finch shouting to his TV watching world, for all to go to the window, and shout out, I´M MAD AS HELL AND I´M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!
Ldotters are the greatest, thanks to Lucianne !

To try to give a reason that today´s libs, dims, progressives, etc. actually believe the garbage they spill consistently is that they actually think that THEY are the ones that have all the information in the world to "make it work". Somehow, the fact that socialism, communism, etc. have never worked in the history of mankind never inters their minds. (they don´t have brains) So we who are capable to read and understand history can easily see the train wreck that is coming down the tracks. And our biggest problem is how to stop it. I firmly believe that it´s going to take brutal action. After all, doesn´t the wise surgeon remove the cancer in order to save the patient?

Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. The Obama administration is poised to change regulations to allow for union “ambush elections” in which workers have less time to decide whether or not to join a union — and in which workers’ phone numbers and home addresses are provided to unions. The administration’s National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) proposed rules would allow for union elections — in which workers at a company vote whether or not to unionize — to be held 10 days after a petition is filed. And what, exactly, would be happening to the unions during those 10 days? The new rules require employers to disclose

Following the deadly avalanche that killed at least 13 people, the Discovery Channel has realized that a live jump off the summit of Mount Everest is just a bad, bad plan and has cancelled the special. "In light of the overwhelming tragedy at Mount Everest and out of respect for the families of the fallen, Discovery Channel will not be going forward with Everest Jump Live," the network wrote on its website. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Sherpa community." Joby Ogwyn was to jump off Everest in a wing suit on May 11. On Friday, while the climbers

The Epic Hypocrisy of Tom Steyer

Billionaire hedge fund operator and “green” energy magnate Tom Steyer has pledged $100 million in the 2014 election cycle to help Democratic candidates who oppose the Keystone pipeline and who favor “green” energy over fossil fuels. Steyer claims to be a man of principle who has no financial interest in the causes he supports, but acts only for the public good. That is a ridiculous claim: Steyer is the ultimate rent-seeker who depends on government connections to produce subsidies and mandates that make his “green” energy investments profitable. He also is, or was until recently, a major investor in Kinder

What happens when presidents lie? The American public has had plenty of experience with this in recent years. Liar-president could be the new hyphenate occupation like writer-producer or architect-contractor. Almost every president has shaded things a bit, but three modern ones have been unabashed bull artists — Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton and, of course, Barack Obama. Clinton ultimately got a pass for his prevarications. Nixon didn’t. Neither deserved one. But our current liar-president deserves one even less, because his lies have been of substance, affecting policy. Nixon and Clinton just lied in self-defense — normal human cowardice. Obama is something else again. He

When President Obama trumpeted the 8 million figure representing people who had signed up for ObamaCare, he didn’t just declare it a victory. He declared the debate over — and told Republicans “it’s well time to move on.” Now, we understand the eagerness of politicians to declare debates over. It’s certainly easier than defending ObamaCare’s broken promises, or even providing the breakdowns behind that 8 million top-line number that would let us measure if the program is getting the sign-ups it needs. Increasingly, however, it seems that the “shut up and move on” trope has become the go-to response of liberals on

A disturbing story out of the Sooner State this week, noted by Doug Mataconis at Outside the Beltway. Under the terms of a recently passed bill, expected to be signed by Governor Mary Fallin, homeowners who install their own private solar or wind turbine energy resources and sell some of the juice back to energy companies will be paying a fee for the privilege. Utility customers who want to install rooftop solar panels or small wind turbines could face extra charges on their bills after legislation passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives on Monday. Senate Bill 1456 passed 83-5 after no debate

Easter 2014: A celebration of hope

Over 2 billion people are celebrating Easter today, April 20, as the calendars of Western and Eastern churches coincide this year, and these billions of faithful people are celebrating HOPE. The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. The elements of the story involve women arriving at a garden tomb and finding it empty, but even better, meeting the risen Lord, the embodiment of life and love. Their lives are changed forever and so are the lives of many, many

Chocolatiers love a holiday, be it Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Easter. The French version of the Easter Bunny is Easter Bells (les cloches de Pâques)—which allegedly fly to Rome for a few days before the holiday to be blessed by the Pope before returning with chocolate eggs for the kids. But you don’t have to hunt very far to find French chocolate and pastry shop windows full of Easter eggs all trying to out-cute, out-class, or simply out-design one another. Good-looking pastries and other sweets are a modestly priced pleasure in France. But like fashion designers, French patissiers and chocolatiers

WHAT ARE the implications for Taiwan of China’s continued rise? Not today. Not next year. No, the real dilemma Taiwan will confront looms in the decades ahead, when China, whose continued economic growth seems likely although not a sure thing, is far more powerful than it is today. Contemporary China does not possess significant military power; its military forces are inferior, and not by a small margin, to those of the United States. Beijing would be making a huge mistake to pick a fight with the American military nowadays. China, in other words, is constrained by the present global balance

The immediate "crisis" portion of the standoff involving the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy over his cattle grazing on federal land ended last week. Whether this will be end of Bundy´s troubles with the BLM, who have been in court with him over his refusal to pay fees to them for decades, remains to be seen, with the Bundys reporting that they´ve received registered mail from the BLM this week that they haven´t opened yet. I blogged about a lot of the factual background of the conflict here, with links to some relevant court documents. This story

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

President Obama asserts that 8 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as though that were something to be proud of. In fact, Obamacare has always been a fiasco from a fiscal perspective–a black hole of subsidies and expanded Medicaid, with largely fictitious mechanisms in place to pay for it. As the number of subsidized participants grows, the disaster gets worse. Charles Blahous explains: Our national discussion…is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come. It is quite possible that the ACA is

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist
