Reid hospitalized as ´precaution´
after feeling ill Friday

NBC News, by Carrie Dann

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 12/20/2013 9:12:25 AM

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was hospitalized early Friday morning as a “precaution” after feeling ill, a spokesman said, adding that doctors concluded "everything is normal" after testing. “Early this morning, Senator Reid was not feeling well and as a precaution decided to go to the hospital. Tests have been conducted and everything is normal. He is alert, resting and feeling better,” spokesman Adam Jentleson said in a statement. "Doctors have asked that he remain in the hospital for observation so he will not be working today." The Senate is set to finish its business for the year on Friday.

Comments:
Is this our early Christmas present? I know, that was really hateful and I´m not supposed to feel that way. What can I say. There isn´t much good that can be said about the vile dingy Harry. This is the entire article.

What taxpayer subsidized Obamacare plan is he covered under? Bronze/Gold/Platinum or Lord-over-the-smelly-Serfs? This was the land-deal-crook from NV that was glad the new Congress visitor center was finished so he didn´t have endure the smelly tourists in the summer.

Good thing his Obamacare isn´t in effect yet!

Admitting an old guy into a hospital just because he isn´t feeling well? Seems rather a waste of resources.

Why not the "take two aspirins and call me in the morning" treatment?

I don´t care what plan he´s on because I know he´s not even paying for it. I just wonder if he´s getting some of those doctors who are taking a pay cut and working more hours because of him.
It´s all fun and games until you´re the one in the hospital, right Senator?

Harry Reid has Keiser Permanente ~ and you´ll notice THEY didn´t say which hospital.

You must remember that Kaiser has a deal with Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and Arlington hospital (now called Virginia hospital center), a small private hospital for limited care near Reston, and even a deal with Washington Hospital Center (my doctor said you don´t want to be in there at night!)

Hmm.

But they do not have any deal at all with Fairfax hospital or Alexandria hospital, or any of the special facilities including heart emergency care inside the INOVA umbrella.

So, if it´s admitted that he went to INOVA, the dude is getting SPECIAL TREATMENT not available to any other Kaiser Permanente customerd

This is a really great piece ~ some of the best comments I´ve ever done got stuffed into the thread as ´further explanation´

The accident is about the time Harry Reid´s wife and daughter were nearly crushed out of existence by an 18 wheeler only feet from my home ~ and then flown off to Fairfax INOVA hospital. They´d been coming back from a Kaiser appointment at Woodbridge.

I mention a long list of Democrat party clowns and naves who´ve hung around the area with their AlQaida buddies.

Being the avatar of Satan can be very taxing it seems. Harry(The Puglist)Reid (remember he used to be a "boxer") is one sorry individual. Many people across the fruited plain are having their healthcare scutted, having nightmares with the crappy website and have wait weeks for appointments to be seen. This bum who is exempt along with his staff has gold star healthcare to where he can check his old butt into any hospital to be seen. I don´t think it would be too harsh to wish this very disgusting person a very un-Merry Christmas.

Let´s see now.......Dingy Harry "isn´t feeling well" and is admitted to a hospital.

Shillary collapses "from exhaustion and hits her head" and doesn´t go to a hospital even though she´s second in line to the Oval Office.

To my way of thinking, this contrast lends credibility to the suspicion that Shillary fell out of her vodka bottle in a drunken stupor. Besides, in order to be exhausted one has to have been actually doing something.

Interesting thoughts on Saturn, sometimes identified with one of the various god-critters called Ba´al.

Pretty neat that he bowed out of the classical Judeo-Christian tradition and popped up in the LDS cycle.

Guess it´s appropriate for Ba´al to send an agent to stand guard over the Acolyte of the Anti-christ ....

Now, the real question ~ it´s many hours later and NOT A SINGLE news outlet has identified which hospital Harry Reid went to.

My guess is Fairfax or Alexandria INOVA.

He´s getting special treatment.

Marco Rubio is beefing up his political action committee, making significant high-level changes to it and his senatorial staff. The changes are intensifying speculation that Rubio – who many thought that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney would pick to be his vice president in 2102 – is preparing the terrain for the 2016 presidential race. Publicly, Rubio, a Florida Republican, has said he has not yet decided whether to aim for the White House in two years, or whether he’ll seek re-election to the Senate. His announcement, on his website, suggested he might be looking at running in 2016, but stopped short of

A recent survey of 148 insurance brokers shows that ObamaCare is sending premiums rising at the fastest clip in decades. "For the last, about, five years they´ve been doing this survey, so this was the largest percentage increase in any quarter since they´ve been doing (it)," says Scott Gottlieb of the American Enterprise Institute. "But at 12 percent, 11 percent increase on average across all the states -- that puts it at the upper end of any increase we´ve seen for decades." That is the national average in a survey done by Morgan Stanley. But in some states, it found rates are soaring. "There are specific states with exorbitant increases," says Gottlieb.

That would threaten the Internet’s independence as it would create an opportunity for regimes far less friendly to freedom to step in and gain power and influence. Well, this idea was so horrendous that even Bill Clinton, in addition to 35 Republican senators, spoke up and told the administration not to do it, as well as a great many other voices. Guess what. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service is prepared to rewrite a proposed rule regulating the political activities of non-profit groups to address complaints from the right and left that it goes too far, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said Monday. "In all likelihood we will re-propose a redefined rule and ask for more public comment," Koskinen told USA TODAY´s Capital Download. It´s a process he predicts will take "until the end of the year and beyond" to complete. The proposed regulation of groups known as 501(c)(4)s drew a record 150,000 comments before the deadline in late February. He said the new rule would

Google has acquired drone maker Titan Aerospace, the Wall Street Journal reports. Titan is a New Mexico-based company that makes high-flying solar powered drones. There´s no word on the price Google paid, but Facebook had been in talks to acquire the company earlier this year for a reported $60 million. Presumably, Google paid more than that to keep it away from Facebook. It sounds like Titan will work on a variety of projects for Google. Titan will be able to collect photos from around the planet from high up, which could help with Google Earth and Google Maps. It will also contribute to Google's Project Loon,

Glaring limits of the Civil Rights

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

4 killed, at least 36 wounded in weekend shootings During a 36-hour period over the weekend of April 11, 35 people were shot in Chicago, causing four fatalities in a city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. Chicago Police responded to 26 separate shooting incidents over the weekend, but over half the shootings occurred in only a 12-hour period on Saturday. Several of the incidents featured multiple shootings with multiple victims. Many were gang related. Chicago´s murder rate had been down over last year´s rates and some have errantly pegged the drop in murder rates to the fact that

Google has patented a smart contact lens that could see its Glass wearable computer fit inside a smart lens. The firm has already developed a contact lens for diabetics analyses their tears, warning them if their glucose levels are low. Now it has revealed plans for a lens with a camera built in - opening the possibility of its Glass system being shrunk down significantly, offering features such as ´superzoom´ to wearers and even helping the blind see. According to PatentBolt, the system could even be used to help the blind see. ´For example, a blind person wearing Google´s contact lens with a

Attorney General Eric Holder spoke out last week on his treatment by Congress, with the implication that it may have to do with his race. However, Holder cleared up to The Huffington Post that his comments were not about race, they were meant to reflect the current level of partisan “incivility” in Washington. The media buzzed for days about whether Holder played the race card, but the attorney general explained HuffPost last Friday, “I didn’t say there was a racial component. I was very careful not to say that.” When he was talking about his unfair treatment to Al Sharpton‘s National Action

On Monday, the guests on MSNBC’s The Ed Show responded to the members of Fox News Sunday‘s panel, which largely dismissed Attorney General Eric Holder‘s assertion that his race motivates his critics. MSNBC host Ed Schultz and Georgetown University Professor Michael Eric Dyson attacked the panel for lacking diversity and said that some of its members, and Fox News analyst Brit Hume specifically, were guilty of “race-baiting.” “So, the color of your skin will determine if you get disrespect or not?” Schultz asked. Dyson agreed. “When I looked around that table and saw the enormous diversity of both skin, and

On 60 Minutes Sunday, CBS aired an interview with President Obama about his impression of Pope Francis after he met with the Pontiff at the Vatican in March. “He’s a wonderful man. He projects the kind of humility and kindness that is consistent with my understanding, at least, of Jesus’ teachings,” Obama explained. Obama also praised the Pope’s simplicity and spirituality. “I suspect, my sense is, is that he’s a little bit uncomfortable with all the trappings of being Pope,” he said. “That’s not his style, and that is part of why I think he has been so embraced around

On Fox News Sunday, political analyst Brit Hume said that Eric Holder’s claim that his treatment at the hands of Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) at a House hearing this week was unprecedented toward an Attorney General, made him a “crybaby,” and that he and President Barack Obama had in fact benefited “enormously” from being the first African Americans in their respective positions. “This strikes me as kinda crybaby stuff from Holder,” Hume said. “My sense about this is both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African American and the first to

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
