The EPA’s Million-Dollar Con Man
Daily Beast, by Michelle Cottle

John C. Beale got 32 months in prison Wednesday, but the sheer outrageousness of his fraud—pretending to be a CIA agent to skip work—may have helped him perpetuate it for two decades. Let’s say you wake up tomorrow morning and really don’t want to go to work. You’re not sick. You’re not depressed. You’re not hungover. You just cannot bear the thought of showering, shaving, and schlepping into the office to spend eight-plus hours doing more or less the same exact crap that you did yesterday and the day before and the day before that. So what do you do? Take

All this shows is how laxed government branches are at their own oversight.

You can pick up any inspector general´s report and find billions in government waste and fraud, yet the budget continues to be rubber stamped. Of course the left would call this guy a bad apple, not representative of hard working government employees.

People on the left are amazingly adept at bilking government money and if this joker can pull this off for two years, not being noticed, you can be sure other leftists have devised their own schemes.

There´s an undeground communications network that feeds out angles to exploiting program´s loopholes.Word spreads like wildfire once somebody figures out how to scam a government buck.
How do you even invent a scam to cash in on an Obamaphone? They figured it out, somehow.

We´re wasting enough money on Obamacare to pay for hundreds of thousands of people top drawer insurance plans but they´d rather the money funds the exponential growth of bureaucrats for more union dues payers and permanent voters..

How did this guy get away with it for so long? Easy. Government agencies like the EPA, are heavily populated with types who are of the same mindset. They don´t necessarily have to do what what he did, but they wouldn´t bother to report him. Remember the video of the GSA party in Las Vegas where they flashed wads of dough saying something like "Thanks, taxpayers". All birds of the same feathers.

FTA:
´´In its extensive coverage of the scandal, The Washington Post has noted that the EPA failed at such basics as comparing ´Beale’s travel vouchers, which said he was in places such as Boston and Seattle, with hotel receipts for the same dates that showed him in Bakersfield, Calif., where he has family.´) What maniac was clearing Beale’s reports, and on what grounds? (The IG is said to be looking into the matter.)´´

Is this the same EPA that wants to determine whether we have water rights or not on our property? Is this the same EPA that tells us we are filthy industrialists, ruining our air and water? Is this the same EPA that has regulated our toilets, refrigerators, light bulbs, toothpaste, paper use, etc. etc. blah blah blah ad infinitum?

THAT EPA?

Uh huh.... I think it IS those same genii, controlling OUR lives while not even bothering to look into the life of one of their own tenured bureaucrats.

Great.....

Government oversight is a joke. What it boils down to is the loss of integrity in today´s society. There was a day when a man´s word was his bond and ethical behavior was expected. We are so far from those ideas in today´s culture. Now it is always about getting away with something. When discipline and prayer was removed from schools, that started the slide into relativism. Right and wrong took a backseat to situational ethics and we have suffered ever since. There is little shame, accountability, and absolutely no honor. Our country is not the country it was 50 years ago and we are paying the price for it.

And yes they should be tested in their daily lives to verify what they claim, discernment by bible proof of who the really are. What ever the non Christian touch goes downhill into a cesspool of stink.

Too many, if not ALL of our elected leaders have implanted dozens, hundreds of their family and friends

Let´s start with a required new question on all talk radio and Fox interviews: "HOW MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE YOU GOTTEN INTO GOVERNMENT NO WORK, FAKE WORK, JOBS OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER ?

DURHAM, N.C.—Inside the auxiliary gymnasium´s side door, down the stairs to the basement, past a door that may be locked, through a dingy underground corridor, up some steps, then a steeper flight of stairs, there´s a light at the end of the tunnel. It´s a hidden entrance to Duke University´s basketball arena. But sneaking into Cameron Indoor Stadium isn´t such a slam dunk. The few students who make it that far find a foul sight: a team in bright yellow uniforms guarding the doors. For years, the payments went out of the woman´s bank account. Nobody batted an eyelid. Bills were paid. And life went on as normal in the quiet neighborhood of Pontiac, Michigan. Neighbors didn´t notice anything unusual. The woman traveled a lot, they said, and kept to herself. One of them mowed her grass to keep things looking tidy. At some point, her bank account ran dry. The bills stopped being paid. After its warnings went unanswered, the bank holding the mortgage foreclosed on the house, a common occurrence in a region hit hard by economic woes. U.S. hiring improved in February from the previous two months despite a blast of wintry weather, likely renewing hopes that growth will accelerate this year. The Labor Department says employers added 175,000 jobs last month, up from just 129,000 in January, which was revised up from 113,000. The unemployment rate rose to 6.7 percent from a five-year low 6.6 percent. More Americans started looking for work but didn´t find jobs. That´s still an encouraging sign because more job hunters suggest that people were more optimistic about their prospects.

Via Matt Lewis, here’s Maverick once again demonstrating that “cordial relationship” in politico-speak means “two people who can’t publicly admit to hating each other but obviously do.” And it’s a cheap shot. Cruz’s point yesterday at CPAC was that Dole, McCain, and Romney lost because they weren’t conservative enough. That’s not because they’re gutless — he said specifically that they were “good” and “decent” men — but because they’re not committed, full-throated ideologues, even less so when they’re fighting for purple states in a national election. We can debate whether that’s true but there’s nothing offensive in raising the subject.
