Sebelius ´Urging´ Insurers to
Cover People Who Haven´t Paid

Cybercast News Service, by Susan Jones

Original Article

Fearing that many people will think they have health insurance coverage when they do not, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is "urging" insurance companies to "give consumers additional time to pay their first month´s premium and still have coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2014." Insurance companies should cover people who haven´t yet paid, in other words. With just a few weeks to go until Obamacare takes full effect, Sebelius announced additional changes on Thursday, some that tell insurance companies how to run their business and others that "strongly" encourage insurance companies to waive their rules -- on premium payments,

Unfortunately, the insurance companies are equal partners in the con game known as Obamacare. Can they be "urged"? Will they pull the plug on the whole mess? Will they be thrown under the bus like everyone else that Obama has used?

They might be seeing the light. Their bottom line under Obamacare is tied to young healthy people paying high premiums. That isn´t happening and is not likely to happen. Sooner or later they have to take a serious look at their bottom line and support a return to markets and risk assessment. I suspect their first move will be to ask for a bailout from the feds. This should go over like a lead balloon.

OP hit the mark. "urging" is not what the O and Democrats intend or how they prefer to rule.

Many would be pleased if Harvard was urged to waive all tuition and admission requirements. Airlines and hotels could waive fees for the poor.

So given the opportunity to take a free 30-day test drive of their new insurance policy, who wouldn´t do it? Hand the new medical card to the receptionist, go in and get your treatment, and then stiff the carrier. The carrier is going to sue you and 100,000 patients doing the same thing?

It is hard to know where to start. We are completely disregarding the fact here that many of these ´subscribers´ will never pay. The insurance companies will be writing off the costs and you may be assured that eventually they will be passed on to the rest of us. This insurance scheme has neither affordability or quality and when February 1 rolls around not much will have changed. I can hardly wait to hear the next round of demands from these incompetent socialistic jackasses.

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W.
