HIV-positive porn performer
seeks privacy amid investigation

Los Angeles Times, by Staff

Original Article

A porn performer who tested positive for HIV in Los Angeles is asking for privacy as the industry tries to determine the scope of the problem. "The performer deserves privacy and dignity at this difficult time, and we ask that our colleagues and the media respect the performer’s wishes for privacy unless he or she wishes to speak," the Free Speech Coalition, a porn industry trade group, said in a statement. The Free Speech Coalition said it was working to identify anyone who had sex with the infected performer. “We take the health of our performers very seriously and felt

Comments:
Disclaimer: This is NOT me being snarky. I would like to know if the "performer" is now eligible for unemployment benefits. Also, I have yet to hear any mention of AIDS and 0bamaCare, or did that slip by somehow? This would seem to be the "preexisting" condition that would require a health provider [insurance company] to raise their rates next year and thereby chatge their 0bama driven medical costs to the atmosphere. Who is going to pay for these patients?

The performer deserves privacy and dignity? Really? As if those qualities are hallmarks of the porn industry. I know when I think dignity, lewd sexual performers instantly come to mind.

The "performer" simply wants to hide so that he/she (the article won´t say) can slink away to avoid the inevitable lawsuits that will hound his/her remaining years and remaining bank balance.

AIDS is described by most European doctors as a venereal disease. When AIDS first appeared here, the medical community in this country was too fearful of politically correct backlash to identify AIDS as what it is.

Because of that cowardly reluctance, those who were infected, carelessly and sometimes secretly, transferred the disease to the point where we now have children and other innocent victims condemned to lifetimes of carrying this vile infection in their bloodstreams.

The pornography ‘industry’ claims now that it wants to ‘protect its performers’ without admitting that the industry, itself, has been instrumental, through both behaviors and example, in the dissemination of this disease.

I, for one, am sick of being told that the pornography ‘industry’ is experiencing a problem with AIDS.

Democrats are battling the White House over proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage, creating a new divide on healthcare just as the party had begun to rally around ObamaCare’s 7.1 million enrollees. The issue threatens the newfound momentum Democrats have on healthcare after a late surge of ObamaCare enrollees surprised and electrified a party that had been beaten down after months of bad news associated with the healthcare law’s rollout. It’s particularly sensitive during an election year, as both parties court senior voters, who make up a disproportionate percentage of the voting population in midterm elections.
