Three Senators Try to
Hold Off G.O.P. in South

New York Times, by Campbell Robertson & Jeremy W. Peters

New Orleans - Things traditionally get started a little late down here, an inclination that runs from mealtimes to political races. But with nearly a year to go before the 2014 election, it is already open season on Senator Mary L. Landrieu, Democrat of Louisiana. (Snip) As Democrats look across the rest of the South, the outlook does not get much better. Ms. Landrieu, along with Senators Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Kay Hagan of North Carolina, is pretty much all that is left of Southern Democrats in the Senate. All three are up for re-election next year. And the outcome of their races could determine whether the Southern Democrat,

Comments:
Hopefully, the Tea Party here in the South are putting up winning candidates. While 0bamaCare is the obvious issue to attack them, there are always the lockstep voting the dRATS have done to further injure our Country, while protecting 0bama. Remember, little good has been done in the Senate, let alone passing a budget [balanced] bill in over five years. Sequestration is their fault, as well as the hits to our Military readiness.

Southern democrats were traditionally compassionate conservatives. Senator Kay Hagan doesn´t have a conservative bone in her body. She does everything the administration wants and ignores the people of North Carolina.

If we can´t beat a Hagan, there is absolutely NO HOPE for this once-great and proud nation.

In these writers minds, they probably see these 3 senators as theonly ones standing between the entire south being racists. In other words they could be defeated because they support a black president.not a thing to do with his disastrous presidency.

To these people,Obama is a caring compassionate man finally taking a stand against people that have it too good.Writers like these think because they stand up for and with Obama it erases any form of racism, they themselves, harbor.

How do we know whether or not unions demand higher wages so they can afford to move away from poor people?

i really don´t like the idea of another north/south divide in this country, that should have been put to rest a long time ago and maybe we were headed there until Obama came along and rekindled old gripes, because agitating is the only thing he knows how to do..He definitely embraces the old divide and conquer mentality. All you have to do is look at Obamacare winners and losers to see what he´s doing.

But two filmmakers hope to change the lack of notoriety for Gosnell, who is serving a life sentence in Pennsylvania for his crimes. Moscow - The last time the Russian military machine was on public display in Europe, its performance did not impress. But this is no longer the force that NATO observed blundering its way through a brief but messy war with its tiny neighbor, Georgia, back in 2008. A new, leaner and meaner Russian Army has been on display in Crimea and war-gaming on the Ukrainian border over the past month or so. Its vanguard is now made up of just a few elite divisions of highly-motivated, well trained, and fully equipped volunteer soldiers, capable of deploying swiftly anywhere in the former Soviet Union on the Kremlin's command.
