Climate change warning: Killer
winter storms for next Thirty years

Daily Star [UK], by Matthew Young

Many people could die as extreme weather becomes common. There will be more freak winds like the October storm, which killed four people. Heatwaves will be lethal and the sea level will rise, leaving coastal towns at risk of being swamped by storm surges. Sir Brian Heap, president of the European Academies Science Advisory Council, said he felt “obliged” to issue the warning after a new study by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. It comes on the back of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, which has killed more than 5,000 people. Sir Brian said: “Given the tragic events this

Funny how the headline is incongruent with heat waves, and rising sea levels. What great reporting.

These guys are shameless. There has always been remarkable weather, but now every unusual weather event can be tagged to man-made "climate change". I liked it better when they made absurd predictions that all turned out to be false. I guess they learned not to do that.

These guys just cannot let go of their meal tickets. When the dust finally settles, when the trendy finally move on to something else, we will find that these jokers have set back the reputation of ´science´ a hundred years. We will start associating the word ´´science´´ with patent medicines - or even worse ´´political science´´.

Puppies and kittens will fall from the sky! The moon will leave its orbit and land on Al Gore! Refrigerators will defrost without warning! Rivers will all flow upstream! The Yankees will sign every player the Red Sox have, ever did have or ever will have!

Gee, this game is fun.

Is this the same group that set out from the UK to measure ice thickness that got snowed in during the first couple of weeks of the expedition? As I recall, they studiously released ice thickness readings for the next several weeks along their originally planned route, even though they were still stuck in the snow.

I didn´t realize it but climate change was obvious in Stephen Foster´s time!
I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee
I´m going to Louisiana,
Susanna for to see
It rained all night
The day I left
The weather it was dry
The sun so hot,
I froze myself
But Susanna, don´t you cry.

This is pure evidence of climate change!

Luckily for the climate "scientist", I have arrived to set the record straight.

The "global warming" of the last couple of decade (that stopped about 15 years ago) has actually only been a "pause" from the global cooling of the 1960´s and 1970´s. The glaciers will arrive in the U.S. and Great Britain from the north pole any day to scrub climate "specialists" from the face of the planet.

It is "settled" science. I know because I was taught this in grade school after my mom learned all about the evil global warming in the 1950´s.

Too bad, the so-called scientist don´t have the sense God gave a rock, because they could see that the climate simply goes in cycles just like "simple" people who raised the food to feed the helpless "elite" figured out hundreds of years ago.

Of course it´s cold and will be more cold soon. Of course the waning strength of the solar flares can´t possibly be the cause --well unless one of those of great knowledge finds the written and voiced saga of 6ft. high snow banks and way below zero of yester years.
Circa. western US from my childhood.
1949 the local snow was higher than the fences on the ranch.
Dad got out an old old sleigh and a horse team to go over the fences to save what livestock he could.
Again in the fifties a real Idaho winter --married and moved to small town in Feburary and never saw the building fronts until April because the snow plowed in front was 9 ft. high with only doorway cuts.

This is going on because US politicians allow it to. GOP House leadership instructs its members not to get into climate discussions, if someone asks you, change the subject to jobs. The US has been handing out taxpayer money to climate cronies for non-existent CO2 terror for over 30 years. There are a few in congress who speak up but they can only go so far in disputing leadership. The greatest tragedy of the Nov. 2010 elections. We gave them the people to stop this fraud and they refused to do so. Now Boehner will be there for life because he runs unopposed in his district. Democrats are pleased with him.

These are not contrails as those streaks stay in the air for a long time before they spread out and drop. By the way, Barry´s health experts say the aluminum particles won´t harm you but they have no idea whatsoever if the noxious chemicals will. See, death panels are already in existence.

A new study from the Medical University of Graz in Austria finds that vegetarians are more physically active, drink less alcohol and smoke less tobacco than those who consume meat in their diets. Vegetarians also have a higher socioeconomic status and a lower body mass index. With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.

The human kindling that makes up the flammable Republican base may soon burst into flames, again. Portions of that excitable cohort are looking — some with fawn-like eyes filled with hurt, others with sparks shooting from eyes narrowed like gun slits — askance at other Republicans urging Jeb Bush to seek the 2016 presidential nomination. A candidacy by Florida’s former governor would be desirable. But if Republicans want to avoid intra-party carnage, they should be very careful about doing what The Post recently reported: “Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is "looking" at banning the sale of tobacco at military installations. According to one military publication, Hagel appears to support it. "As the Navy considers banning tobacco sales on all bases and ships, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel gave a strong endorsement of the review Monday, and suggested that he would be in favor of a ban," reports Stars and Stripes. “I don’t know if there’s anybody in America who still thinks that tobacco is good for you,” Stars and Stripes quotes Hagel as saying. “We don’t allow smoking in any of our government buildings. Restaurants, states, [and]

Sarah Palin continues to act in ways that confirm some of the more negative things said about her. For example, she’s taken to Facebook to attack the most recent budget plan by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan.(Snip)Whatever differences Ms. Palin may have with the Ryan plan–and perhaps she’ll take the time to offer an actual critique of if rather than a Facebook entry with lots of upper case words–it’s hardly a joke. But what might elicit a roll of the eyes is comparing Ms. Palin’s views now versus what they were nearly four years ago. Consider this: On December

Senate majority leader Harry Reid has a whole page on his official Senate.gov website devoted to revealing "THE FACTS ABOUT THE KOCH BROTHERS." One of the alleged facts promoted on Reid´s website is that the Kochs do not pay any corporate taxes: “They are known for bankrolling conservative, Libertarian and Tea Party causes and became poster boys for corporate tax reform last year when an Obama Administration official suggested Koch is organized as an S Corp. and so pays no corporate level taxes.” The claim that the Koch brothers don´t pay corporate income taxes was first made by former White House official
