Obama´s Wretchedly Convoluted Presidency
Power Line, by Paul Mirengoff

One definition of a pathological liar is someone who lies where the truth would serve just as well. When President Obama’s uncle, Onyango Obama, was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving, the truth — that Obama had stayed with his uncle years earlier for several weeks as a Harvard law student — would have served the president just fine. No potential Obama voter would have held it against him that an uncle he had stayed with two decades earlier was picked up for DUI. Yet the White House went with a lie, claiming that Obama had never met his uncle. Now that

Shorten the headline to "Obama´s Wretched Presidency."

Should have an endless shelf life.

When you have to lie about the truth, there is something else hidden behind the whole episode that is worse. Bet on it.

Obama War Room: I Want To Be Loved By You

MICHELLE: We have a problem, people.
JOE BIDEN: Huh? Why’s the Boss sitting in the corner in his pjs?
MICHELLE: He’s depressed about Mandela.
VALERIE JARRETT: Well, that’s underst. . .
MICHELLE: More than depressed. He’s sulking, too. Mandela’s death reminds him he’ll have to die to get all the love and adulation he deserves. Thinks it’s unfair he won’t be able to share in the sorrow at his passing. Anyway, I’m running things until his therapist clears him for duty.
BIDEN: Lemme talk to ‘im. [goes over to the president] Hey Chief, snap outta it. Mandela was one of a kind. For the world to love you that much, why, you’d, you’d . . .
OBAMA: Say it, Joe.
BIDEN: You’d need to be removed from office, exiled to an island, eventually released, go back into public service in support of the revolution, then croak.
OBAMA: Exactly, and I‘m good with that scenario, except for the last part. Joe, I’m tired of the presidency. The thrill is gone. There’s nothing else out there sufficient to test my abilities and give me Mandela-like status.
BIDEN: You’ve done way more than necessary to be unfairly impeached Chief, but House Republicans have no spine.
JARRETT: Sir, there is a way: instruct the Capitol Police to arrest Boehner and disband the House. Then they’ll have to act. Reid will oblige you with a trumped-up conviction. Afterwards, place yourself under house arrest on Martha’s Vineyard.
OBAMA: Hmm. Then this fall, President Biden pardons me and ends my ordeal on the Vineyard. He names me Community Organizer to the World. When I’m 60, Michelle stages a living funeral for me so that I can participate in the celebration of my life. Yes, that’s the way to go. Excuse me, I’m off to begin writing my eulogy.

Maybe he lied because Uncle Obongo is not really his uncle and zippy was afraid that the whole African father story which made him so exotic and the facts about Frank Marshall Davis would slip out.

At this point, any absurdity about zippy´s past is fair game. That´s what happens when your entire history is a fraud and every word you utter is a lie.

Bill Clinton does the same thing. I remember him lying about something and it seemed to not make sense at the time. When the truth came out, it actually made him look better. I had to scratch my head and wonder why would someone lie when the truth made them look better? Clearly they are both pathological liars.

The press is making me crazy with articles like this. President Obama is ignoring the law and shredding the Constitutional basis for our governmental powers. For example, he has unilaterally granted big business an exemption from ObamaCare for one year and unilaterally granted an exemption for members of Congress. But our press is worried about whether or not, two decades ago, he lived for a few weeks with an uncle who was in this country illegally.

We need a serious discussion about what is happening and what we should do about it. We don’t need to focus on things that don’t really matter in order to claim that we are being vigilant.

Obama is such a convoluted lie in so many ways, it´s a national sport trying to explain the character. Seems everyone has a theory. I´ve never seen anything like it, ever.
We desperately need a WYSIWYG prez, next time around.

- #3, Bravo, again. Like all great satire yours has that unmistakable ring of truth.

- Been a while since I dropped by Power Line so I took the time to carefully read Paul´s fine piece here as well as the comments afterward. Quite an impressive group over there.

I bet Obama stayed with his illegal alien uncle while waiting for his "foreign aid student" check to hit the bank.
Uncle keeps his mouth shut about foreign student status, the "friendly" judge allows him to stay in this country. NOW we know why his college records are sealed.
Obama is a lie on 2 feet.

And we have this convoluted presidency ... who had to conceal from the American people the essence of who he really is and what he really stands for.

...with remaining gaping holes in his biographical narrative. We don´t know a thing about his scholastic records other than that there isn´t any paper trail nor are there any close friends or intimates in his past.

We know the birth certificate has been phonied.
We know he referred to himself as a Kenyan.
We know Bill Ayers fessed up to writing O´s book.
We know he voted "present" on a bill to permit surviving aborted babies to die without efforts to save them.
We know he lies effortlessly and continuously.
We know he refuses to make difficult decisions.
We know he blames everyone else for his failures.
We know he will never, never take responsibility for failure but will always take credit for others´ success.
We know he is a Marxist, a black-reparations guy, a member of a hate-filled church, and that he is a Muslim sympathizer, not a Christian.
We know that liars eventually get caught and that Truth eventually rises to the top.
We know plenty about what the media tells us about him but we know little about what is going on behind his curtain.

What we don´t know is how to stop his agenda before he does still more damage to America.

Great comments by all above, especially Sagman´s @#3. There may be more than fiction to #3´s scenario. Yesterday´s picture of Barry standing pensively (dressed in a somber, dark blue suit) and watching TV as the nation learned about Mandela´s passing, I think was staged.

He probably was imagining the accolades about his life that people around the world give when he dies - after all everything is always about him.

#4 also has a good point to consider: "Maybe he lied because Uncle Obongo is not really his uncle..."

That obama sure lies alot.

Did they lie about his uncle just to cause a distraction? The entire subject is most likely irrelevant.

Wait for the left to complain about those crazy Republicans because we are talking about something as silly as this.

Keep the focus on his lies regarding the economy and his foreign policy, and ignore nonsense like this. What he is doing now is much more important than his past.

Have you seen photos of BO and the uncle side by side? I think they wanted to tamp down the connection. The uncle is clearly... ummmm... not exactly pleasant to look at. It´s just a fact.

Then would come the questions: why doesn´t Unc ever visit the family in DC, you know, reciprocate for the Cambridge days and invite Unc for a sleep-over?

If not being invited to camp out on the White House sofa, then why has he (and his Aunt Zetuni --sp-- who lives in the Commonwealth at tax-payers´ expense, by the way. At least Unc works!) not been invited to summer with the family on the Vinyard?

Miserable ingrate.

Too many questions. Good grief! the Lo-infos might start to wonder and even ask questions about all sorts of things...

No no. ...best to lie ...Uncle? what uncle?

Please excuse a second post, but a few Ldotters have stated that this bit from Obama´s past doesn´t matter - that it´s a distraction from the lies and deceit he is doing today with the economy, NSA spying, etc. I must disagree.

This is important because it shows that Truth is getting a foot in the door of the national conscious despite the MSM. Eventually, one Truth will open the door to the next Truth until daylight and sun shines on much of the dark corners surrounding Barry.

He has lived a lie so long, he himself doesn´t know who he is. I do. He´s the laughing stock of the World.

Reading the comments section from an article this morning in the WSJ reminded me of something I read a while back. As reported in a Russian publication, Vladimir Putin supposedly said, and I paraphrase, "Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. First he knocks over all the pieces, then he sh--s on the board, then he struts around like he won the game."

They are all laughing at us - and with good reason. Only fools would elect this crowd to lead them.

Uncle Oingo Boingo uses no teleprompter. Barry Soetero is addicted to using a teleprompter. So are the Diane Sawyer and Steve Pelley TV actors also “addicteds”. Who are you going to believe, addicted script readers, or a nice old guy speaking from faded memories ?

Barry’s buddies, Tom Hanks and George Clooney also speak exclusively the words of other writers (all of them suspected commies, of course) but at least they MEMORIZE their scripted lines ! Barry can’t even memorize his own lies (er lines), he has to read them ALL off of an electric screen. How bad is that?

Below his fake teleprompter cool, is a raging, vindictive little boy with unresolved psychological problems.
THE DESTRUCTIVE PRESIDENT, by Paul Fick PhD, on Amazon, will provide you with illuminating sample pages from the author. Rush Limbaugh thinks Obama is nuts, but ole Rushbo will not even read or quote from this great book. Go figure.

In the early Clinton days, Dr Fick wrote THE DYSFUNCTIONAL PRESIDENT, predicting Slick Willie’s lying ways and dangerous sexual aggressions. And Dr Fick foretold that these serious personality defects would soon interfere with his presidency. Then, magically, Drudge broke the Monica Lewinsky story, and Dr Fick’s book, really took off. Many remember it as a valuable tool. So, too, is this new book,
THE DESTRUCTIVE PRESIDENT. You’ll be the wiser for checking it out.

The short answer on Obama is that the Russians know all the facts regarding his mysterious past and Obama is their agent of influence. Let´s not make it more complicated than it is. And I would add that the Israelis know the facts too but so far they have kept counsel for fear of a break with the US.

Barry Soetoro´s life is incredibly dull, boring and had a perfectly predictable beginning in the sixties. Ugly hippie chick likes to sleep with drunken and drugged black men. Hippie chick gets pregnant and baby daddy flees the scene. So far nothing new.

Ah, but child feels the need to be somebody. He latches onto a philosophy as old and tired as the desire of men to control others through despotism and cruelty. He soaks in his knowledge of Marxism from drunken and drugged relatives and angry friends. He secures foreign aid to enter a US school and finds drugged-up airheads just like himself to consort with.

Then, surprise! He makes up a flowery speech about nothing and is chosen to recite his speech at the 2004 democratic convention. Immediately, thousands of democrats see him as presidential material and for their standards, he probably was. Voila, President Putz.

From the "way back machine" I seem to remember a trip to Russia that o. took with Senator Lugar. The Russians detained him for 2 hrs. of questioning. Did they take a DNA sample at the time? Do they know who he really is? What do they have on him? or Do they have his number and they are ignoring the pigeon?

Perhaps Russia Today will spill the true facts in the near future.

It’s no secret that Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) don’t like one another. They battle regularly over legislation and their Senate floor fights over arcane-but-important rules have become must-see entertainment for senatorial insiders. According to aides in both parties, the two leaders have not had a one-on-one sitdown to discuss legislation (or anything else) since late last year. Nowadays, all business is conducted on the phone or in brief discussions on the Senate floor. Part of that feud is political – Democrats targeted McConnell in 2008, Republicans targeted Reid in 2010, Democrats

At any one time hundreds of thousands of us are cocooned in pressurised cabins scything through the cold upper reaches of the troposphere. Soon enough, this figure will rise to a million: a million passengers, flown safely, if not always comfortably, across countries and continents, and with little call for comment. I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the

The cash infusion by the federal government is actually going to help the city pay pensions, even though they´re playing a kind of shell game with the money. As for "blight removal," perhaps they could start with city hall. Reuters: Michigan officials and President Barack Obama´s Administration are discussing a plan to free up $100 million in federal money to aid Detroit´s retired city workers, the Detroit Free Press reported on Tuesday. Citing two people familiar with the talks, the newspaper said the talks were centered around federal money flowing to Michigan for blight removal. Under the plan, $100 million

Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
