President Barack Obama and his family will spend Christmas in Hawaii again this year, and are expected to stay in the same beachfront Kailua neighborhood where they´ve spent the past five year-end holidays. Hawaii News Now reports the Obamas are expected to arrive around Dec. 20 and stay until Jan. 5. While Obama typically spends a lot of time at the nearby Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay, working out in the gym and playing golf, he does tend to venture out to the same local businesses each trip. Among his favorites are Island Snow and Buzz´s Original Steakhouse in Kailua,

The biggest obstacle to his agenda is the middle class. When he is done, there will be two classes: us (the peasants) & the ruling political elite.

You´re right, #11.... How many SS agents plus all the press are deprived of going home for the holidays? And, I´ve always wondered just what constitutes the Obama "family"? None of his many relations living here (illegally or not) has ever even been to the WH so carting them to Hawaii would be out of the question.

Other than Gramma Robinson, maybe ValJar and her new main squeeze, Ahmad Rashad, will be in the entourage.

Better idea. Have Obama just stay there. Means there´s only about a three hour window you have to listen to him because of time zones and he´ll be so busy golfing and going to the night spots he won´t have time to mess up our lives.

Democrats’ anti-Koch strategy is risky
Washington Post, by Wesley Lowery    Original Article

From the Senate floor to television advertisements across the country, Democrats are assailing Republicans for their alliance with billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid has repeatedly questioned the brothers´ patriotism, accusing the GOP of suffering from an "addiction to Koch." A recent ad in Michigan, as in other places, features images of the Kochs with a grave warning that a GOP candidate seeks to aid the "wealthy and powerful." The coordinated strategy is designed to try and counteract the tens of millions of dollars in attack ads funded largely by the Kochs and their network of

TIJUANA, Mexico -- Sixty Mexican migrants were detained Sunday by U.S. authorities after they crossed into the United States from the border city of Tijuana as part of a protest against U.S. immigration policies. It was the third such group to try to enter the U.S. at the Otay Mesa border crossing in San Diego and ask for asylum in the last week. The group, led by two young sisters whose parents live in North Carolina, held signs that read "Undocumented Unashamed," and "Immigration reform starts here." By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost. What should particularly alarm Democrats is
