NYC Politician Blames ‘Jewish Success’
for ‘Knock-Out’ Attacks

National Review Online, by Andrew Johnson

Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. But she´s not a racist, nor is she an anti-Semite.
Why? Plain and simple: It´s because she´s black.

And just what does "While I personally regard this level of tenacity" mean? Was she misquoted or is she just ignorant?

Of course black teens "see it differently." They´ve been conditioned since birth by the likes of Ms. Cumbo that work ethic is meaningless and they deserve all the goodies of living in America without having to put in the effort.

They don´t have a clue of the concept of working hard to earn anything. They have been given free stuff their whole lives, and they honestly believe they should get the same stuff the Jews get without having to work for it.

Ok, so let´s assume that this is the real reason behind it. Why do these same people so love and adore rich rappers, black liberal politicians and NBA players?

While I don´t doubt there could be jealousy, this template does not fit. These kids are having a good old time hitting people that can´t defend themselves, a surprise sucker punch to even women. While they laugh and have a good time.

This is fun for them. I grew up AROUND these kinds of people, and they were all white. It´s a group, shared "pick on the weak and have a good time" mentality, fueled by social media.

In the 1970s I watched as a homely, hated young girl had the school bus doors closed on her jamming her in the doors (the bus driver was looking at the back wheels) while the whole bus laughed and threw things at her. Big fun. I have seen this sick behavior up close. These are sociopaths, I don´t care what their color is. Understand something Ms. Cumbo, these kids are having FUN and enjoying the experience, THAT is your problem.

It´s nothing new that Jews should be targeted. Much of that is envy of what others perceive as unwarranted success: Jews are overrepresented in monetary success, educational success, medicine, science, literature, Nobel and Pulitzer prizes (when they meant something), art and entertainment. As a group, they outstrip their ratio to the population in success in these areas.

However, they are also overrepresented in sex crimes, pornography and white collar crimes. They are also stereotypically involved in excesses of usury, nastiness and penuriousness.

This councilwoman has taken a kernel of truth and, as usual, built her black liberation theology around it, choosing a white minority to blame. Jews are handy. They always were. Go back to biblical times and it´s always the Jews who take the hit yet they are always blamed as the perpetrators.

...she was looking to “offer possible insight as to how young African American/Caribbean teens” think and how it can lead to the attacks.

She can stop looking for "insight". I have her answer: We don´t want to know "how". Knowing "how" won´t stop it. "Young African American" teens will find any excuse to claim foul or poverty, then blame other people for their dismal failures rather than looking toward their own culture of death and violence and their fractured "family" life for answers.

Democrats and their plantation mentality are to blame for this. Change the black culture of broken families, entitlements and gimmees and you will no longer have to look for Jews to blame.

It´s not Jews or Republicans who are to blame. Look no further than all the liberal-run black cities for the decay and the corruption and violence you find in the black community.

And no. The race card no longer works.

What gibberish.

Black thugs play "knockout" to prove to their friends how tough and unafraid they are. Toughness and fearlessness are prized qualities in the dysfunctional inner city culture.

Beyond that, inner city thugs don´t WANT "success" as defined by Jews or whites or even blacks who´ve made it in the larger culture. They demonstrate their contempt of that system and those people by preying on it and them. "Knockout" is part of that mindset.

As Blacks won´t rise to the Jewish level of productivity and resulting affluence, Jews need to change their behavior so as to drop down to the levels of a typical local person of color. Hang around the home/hood (or the ´chood´) more - and drink lots of malt liquor. (Although MD20/20 would be a more appropriate substitute - it is made by Mogen David).

Pretty soon we´ll be hearing stuff from the brothers like, ´´Don´t be messin´ around with them black hats. They be real bad!´´

I’m glad Jonathan Chait told us that his poorly argued, slightly paranoid New York magazine cover story, “Why Race Has Been the Real Story of Obama’s Presidency All Along,” was written before his epic wrangle with Ta-Nehisi Coates over Paul Ryan and the “culture” of black poverty. Because otherwise, it could only be read as the self-pitying rant of someone who has lost a historically defining argument – someone who has been “sonned,” to use Coates’ term — and is still too hurt to have access to his powers of reason. I´ve long had a hunch that Uber, the ubiquitous car-on-demand service, is gearing up for something much bigger than just taking people from point A to point B. The company clearly wants to use its car-service foothold to expand into a large, multi-armed transportation hub for cities — a "digital mesh," in one of its investor´s words, that can take anything anywhere, immediately, with a few taps of an app. Tomorrow, Uber is tipping its hand by launching an experimental line of Uber couriers in Manhattan who will deliver packages on foot or by bike for as little as $15. My first published column was in a local paper opposing the Equal Rights Amendment for the same reasons that Phyllis Schlafly, a conservative lawyer, campaigned on. As ambiguously written, the ERA, would eliminate the men-only draft requirement, repeal protective laws like sexual assault and eliminate the tendency for mothers to obtain custody over their children in divorce cases. Ironically, one of the arguments that helped sink the amendment from ratification was the fear that single-sex bathrooms would no longer be permitted. In addition, opponents of the amendment also warned that it would lead to abortion on demand and same-sex marriages.

A caveat right off the bat: RAND’s estimate only runs through March 28 whereas the actual deadline for signing up was March 31st. Given the crush of traffic on Healthcare.gov in late March, many more people could have signed up over those last three days than were captured by these numbers. How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

Viguerie believes that the Texas senator is a “game changer” for the movement but that the best way to beat Clinton is with a candidate from outside the beltway. “I don´t think it would be best for the conservative movement for

As a former President of The Most Powerful Country In The World, George W Bush has significantly greater access to world leaders than most budding artists. (Snip) Art critics have pointed out that a number of the 30 portraits in the exhibition appear to be based on images thrown up by a cursory search of the person´s name in Google Images. In some cases the portrait seems to have been based on the very first image result on the search engine. Rather remarkably, even the portrait of his own father, someone who he surely could have asked to sit for him, appears to be based on an Associated Press portrait which appears on the first page of

This message didn’t appear when I accessed a second article which met with Firefox’s political commissar’s approval. Here’s what Firefox said: Careful Now! (shouldn’t they have said “Achtung! or “Verboten!” or something similar?). This website could not be displayed by Firefox because it is not

And on the sidelines, former Bush retainers were frank about their hopes that the eldest son could save a party the family has led on and off since 1988. “We have a responsibility to make sure Jeb runs,” said longtime Bush adviser Andy Card after the speech. “If Jeb Bush does not run, shame on us.” Card added,
