Global warming risks dramatic
changes and soon, panel finds

Continued global warming poses a risk of rapid, drastic changes in some human and natural systems, a scientific panel warned Tuesday, citing the possible collapse of polar sea ice, the potential for a mass extinction of plant and animal life and the threat of immense dead zones in the ocean. At the same time, some worst-case fears about climate change that have entered the popular imagination can be ruled out as unlikely, at least over the next century, the panel found. These include a sudden belch of methane from the ocean or the Arctic that would fry the planet, as

Look at Algore who has become a multi-millionaire while using millions of gallons of jet fuel globe-trotting around the world making speeches and collecting fees for his carbon footprint mumbo jumbo.

Panel schmanel. Here´s the thing: These alarmists are all evolutionists. OK then, why do they try to *stop* evolution in it´s tracks? Trying to manage nature is oxymoronic.
And furthermore, why try to stop natural progression *at a specific point in time?* Who are WE to say we must save one species at the risk of halting the development of another? Who´s to say that *our current* ecosystem is so ideal that it must be preserved for posterity?

#19 can add the fundamental paradox in evolutionary ´science´: If you suggest that humans are special and more intelligent or capable than other creatures, we´re slapped down and told humans are nothing special, because every remarkable trait we have can be found in other creatures. But if you suggest that human activity be treated as part of the evolution of the natural world, we´re ridiculed and told that human activities are ´artificial´ - i.e. not part of nature. (In fact, humans are viewed as the mortal enemies of nature among many pagan environmentalists.)

Kyiv- A recording proving that Russia is backing separatists in eastern Ukraine has surfaced online. The SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) taped the operatives, whose code names are "Nose," "Adler," "Shooter" and "Agath," discussing strategy, weapon stockpiles, and requests for reinforcements. The SBU has identified the number calling the separatists in Ukraine as having a Russian +7 area code. The person with the Russian number asks Shooter to contact him. Later in the conversation, Shooter reports “fighting off the first (Ukrainian) attack” and shooting “some significant (highly-ranked Ukrainian) people."

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
