Does Obama Think

American Thinker, by Eileen F. Toplansky

In Michael Agar´s book entitled Language Shock: Understanding the Culture of Conversation, he asks "[h]ow do you speak and act a lie at the same time?" Agar maintains that there are three characteristics of an act that tell ... whether a lie occurred or not: I. The sentence is false; 2. The person knows it´s false; 3. The person intends to deceive. A lie isn´t just what´s in the discourse; it´s also what´s in the circumstances of the act of speaking, like the knowledge and intentions of the speaker. Furthermore, "the thing that most people would say makes a lie

Could it be that in Obama´s universe "not telling the truth is much more complex than just lying, because [one may ask] is there an absolute truth?" After all, this article at Salon manages to avoid the details of ObamaCare when it claims that "No, Obama didn´t lie to you about your health care plan."

If there is no absolute truth, the statement "No, Obama didn´t lie to you about your health care plan." is false.

There are only two things needed to make a lie: 1) An untruth; and 2) The speaker knows that it is an untruth.

A real Messiah doesn´t lie. Obama has never told the truth so he isn´t lying and he isn´t a/the Messiah. He really doesn´t know the difference between a lie and the truth and it doesn´t matter to him as long as he gets what he wants.

Are fantasies the same as lies? Much of the suspicion that people held about theater performances and works of fiction in prior centuries was based on the idea that such works and those who performed in them were deceitful. We don´t feel that way today. Unfortunately we do have people who can´t distinguish between what is real and what is fantasy. Obama may be one of them.

Abandoned children often fantasize about themselves and their absent parents. Surely dad must be on some great mission, why else would he have left me here? Maybe mom is a princess and she sent me here to hide me from her enemies. When I first heard Obama lie about his parents I was worried that the perfect storm of affirmative action allowed him to grow up with his childhood fantasies intact. That he doesn´t think he is lying because he never developed the ability to distinguish what is from what he wants it to be.

I wish I had the time to write a Lib Speak Dictionary. They are constantly redefining every word or phrase. The most common was the meaning of "is" by the Clinton´s. Unfortunately the Dictionary would be longer than the Obamacare Bill and it would constantly be changing.

Agree #3 - plain and simple:

A lie is something said/or written with the intent to deceive.

Though, I really think that Obama can´t comprehend what it means to deceive. I think when he deceives and gets away with it, that that means he succeeded in what he set out to do. If he didn´t get away with the deception, then he looks for a fall guy.

Obama lies because he knows it´s nearly impossible to prove intent. If caught in a lie, he knows that he is slick enough, fast enough, clever enough, cool enough, likeable enough and minority enough that most people will give him the benefit of any doubt.
Yes, he can. So he does.

This sums up every seemingly unanswerable question we could have about how what we are watching is even conceivable. It is a matter of core philosophy, and at the most fundamental level. Aristotle built the foundation for Western Civilization when he noted a equals a. Those who acknowledge this, accept the existence and possibility of order, law and meaning. Those who do not, attempt to embrace and harness chaos.

Is there really any doubt on which side Obama´s beliefs place him?

Obama is an actor chosen to play a part. He does not know if he is lying or not nor does he care. He does not know anything about economics, foreign policy, domestic policy, insurance or health care; he does not have to. Obama is a front man who talks a good game and reads what is written for him. He is communist, socialist or capitalist, whatever the situation calls for. He has no core, concepts, ideas or beliefs, he reads words that in many cases he does not understand and he does and says only what he is told. I truly believe he is given way too much credit when we blame him for any ills his masters have caused. He is nothing, no one, a mere mouthpiece.

Recently I watched the documentary Breeders, which I recommend to everyone – gay and straight, liberal and conservative. The documentary, produced by Jennifer Lahl at the Center for Bioethics and Culture, exposes the ethical dangers posed by the practice known as “surrogacy.” Surrogacy is the use of a contract, by which a woman agrees to carry a gestating child in her womb for another party (usually an infertile heterosexual couple or a gay male couple), and also agrees to abandon the child to the couple who has engaged her services. Compensated surrogacy means that the carrier is paid to rent out her

None are comforting: Some kind of equipment malfunction that completely preoccupied the crew and led to a sudden crash.
