Is the HealthCare.gov Fix Too
Late to Save Obamacare?

Daily Beast, by Ben Jacobs

So the troubled site apparently now works 90 percent of the time. That should be good news for Obama—but the question is whether Obamacare will get the mass enrollment it needs. HealthCare.gov finally works. Now people just need to use it. The error-plagued website, which was supposed to be the portal for Americans seeking to buy health insurance through the exchanges set up by the Affordable Care Act, is finally approaching basic functionality two months after it went online. In a report released Sunday, the Department of Health and Human Services breathlessly announced that the website now functions more than 90 percent of

They really don´t get it. It is NOT the website it is the product. If the site is now working it will allow millions to see that obamacare will now cost more than their cancelled ins., the deductibles will be higher in some cases much higher and you must pay for services you do not want, need or will never use. Your doctor and preferred facilities are also on the chopping block. Wait until people start to get kicked off their small business ins. A pox on any idiot who supported this mess.

Prove it. Confirm that in fact one can enter their data, compare potential plans accurately, sign up for their chosen plan, AND initiate payment for that plan. If you can´t do ALL of those steps every time then the site is not fixed and it actually works 0% of the time.

Here´s the only line in this article you need to know: "The report and an accompanying blog post offer a blizzard of metrics, none of which has been independently verified..."

Isn´t that a perfect description of ANY offense this administration has perpetrated on its fellow citizens? Snow them with data and endless yapping, none of it verified OR verifiable.

This website has little to do with "fixing" obamacare. It is totally dependent on the young and healthy being FORCED to buy healthcare insurance at very high rates to protect those older folks who need healthcare and can´t afford it.

The truth is, everyone has healthcare. This debacle is meant to force insurance plans to include contraceptives, sex changes, drug fixes for frequent flyers, abortions, plastic surgery, and pedicures.

Truth is, it´s not about healthcare. It´s about control!

When people try to use it en masse, it will probably degrade again. Damn those Republicans!

The vehicle to purchase an already failed product is working 90% of the time? Well, now isn´t that special? The democrats have made it easier to purchase what we don´t want, what most of us didn´t need, what will cost more and offer much less, and what treatment we receive will be determined by faceless bureaucrats via medical codes. What´s not to love? Worst part, there is no equality under the law. Democrats tells us we are all equal under the law but under Obamacare but it is apparent that some are more equal than others. Obamacare is an affront to freedom.

The product failure is yet to become sufficiently evident since only a few incidental million Americans have felt the pain. Until we get well on the employer funded policy cancelations it will look like just a bad job of rolling out a web site. And of course that reckoning has been kicked down the road until after the 2014 elections. The fact that this was the greatest fraud perpetrated in the history of humankind will remain hidden to all but the serious few who will be targeted for ridicule and fear mongering by the cult with the playbook dedicated to Lucifer himself!

The obamacare law that no one who voted for it even read is a complete disaster. And every crooked democrat who sold their votes should be thrown out of office.

What Health care law, oh you mean ObamaCare? There isn´t any fix possible for any Socialized Medicine law produced by a Hair Brained Community Organizer of no known merit and a Congress majority who forced a Socialized medicine mess upon the formerly free American Republic.

No Republican in Congress voted for this law, the Democrats own it and are running away from the mess they created. Why don´t you all retire on the excessive pensions you voted for yourselves and the Healthcare exemptions too. Be gone you crooks.

So it´s operational 90% of the time. Does that mean that for 90% of the time, your personnel data is protected or only 90% of you data is protected? Or did you not even address the security aspect of the site? Personally, I NEVER put ANY of my personal information on ANY computer. I happen to be an electronics technician who studied computer information distribution in college. For a very large number of hackers, there are a number of ways to crack computer systems. And if the Defense Department can have the Chinese hack into their computers, just think of how many will be able to hack into the HHS computers?

Even if the website "works," it´s still not secure, and people said that before Congress.

Aside from that, you can´t get accurate information about the policies offered--either what they cover, how much they cost, etc. It has been shown that for each age group, the cost shown is for the youngest age in the range--rendering false estimated amounts. When people get the actual cost for their own age, they get a shock.

Then, there is the problem of access. If you can´t find a doctor in the network, what good is the insurance?

If the insurance costs many thousands a year, and the deductible is very high too, a family could find themselves spending $10,000-$15,000 before any reimbursement. For a relatively healthy family, where´s the incentive to buy insurance?
