What Young Gay Men
Don´t Know About AIDS

The New Yorker, by Michael Specter

Original Article

Posted By:Write2Right, 11/30/2013 8:45:39 PM

I used to keep a picture on my desk, taken on Castro Street, in 1983, at the moment when it seemed as if gay life in San Francisco was ending forever. There were two men in the photograph: the first, tall and gaunt, was leaning over the other, who was in a wheelchair, tucking a blanket around what little was left of the wasted man. A friend had given me the picture just before I began covering the AIDS epidemic for the Washington Post, along with a message. “Don’t forget these people when you write this story,” he told me.

How can there be a single, solitary soul on this planet who does not know the how and why of AIDS? Time to take responsibility to educate your peers who have some how managed to remain ignorant. Stop blaming everyone else.moh and by the way, AIDS was suppose to be running rampant in the hetero community by now. Yet another scare tactic.

AIDS is a self-inflicted disease.

Paragraph 5 says:

If unprotected anal intercourse is rising among gay men—a trend noted not just in America but in much of the Western world—the rates of HIV infection will surely follow.

Paragraph 7 says:

Racism, homophobia, and poverty continue to drive much of the epidemic. Minorities have the highest infection levels and are least likely to have access to satisfactory medical attention or drug treatments.

Earlier, I was reading an article on a blog (lifenews) entitled "Britain’s public health chief warns of catastrophic global gay HIV epidemic."

Dr. Fenton laid the blame for the MSM HIV epidemic squarely on the two most obvious characteristics of homosexual sex: anal intercourse and promiscuity.

actually, there´s a good bit of it in the heterosexual community. Just not as sexy to talk about, can´t claim "homophobia", (whatever that is) and play the victim card right.
But promiscuity certainly plays a part.
Real life case: woman presents at clinic, found to be HIV+. She´s strictly hetero, and has a male "significant other". Turns out he has it, gave it to her. He got it from a skank next door, who got it from a guy who likes girls better, but would do it with a fencepost lacking an alternative, and the alternative was sex with another guy. Who had it. Now they all do. And given the lifestyles they adopt, are virtually certain to pass it on further.
THIS is fact. Have seen it.
And THIS is why isolation of the infected should have been done more than 30 years ago! and wasn´t, due to moral cowardice and p.c. Much grief and many lives would have been saved.
Again, the nation´s problems are primarily moral, and the fiscal problems are a result.

Have you listened to the words of the PSA about avoiding "sexually transmitted diseases and (also) AIDS" as if AIDS is not transmitted sexually!

There was a time that AIDS could have been stopped in it´s tracks...when it was still known as "Karposi´s sarcoma" a little known cancer that only affected elderly (genetic) Jewish people that was suddenly showing up in young, "active" gay men. IF AIDS had been treated as any other communicable disease with quarantine of infected patients, there may have been a chance...but NO! Political correctness and politically active gay men demanded they be allowed to keep their "bath houses" open for promiscuous anonymous sex and now we have 40 million dead and foolish young men intentionally getting themselves infected.

It is, indeed, self-inflicted, and it is also completely avoidable.

Michael Specter, you are delusional. There are already reports of cancer patients having their insurance cancelled because of Obamacare regulations and AIDS patients are certainly in line to get their insurance cancelled as well. All while it is impossible to actually get Obamacare due to ´technical difficulties´. If the MSM would show those needing AIDS drugs being cut off from their meds because of Obamacare the leftist outrage would be intense. Maybe intense enough to repeal Ocare. Oh well, one can dream.

Let´s be clear, AIDS is not a Gay only disease. Anyone who contracted the disease after the early ´90´s warrants no sympathy. In the early days of the illness no one knew what was causing it; but once it was discovered anyone (gay or straight)in the civilized world having unprotected sex was an idiot.

Of course the line about 0bamacare requires duct-tape.

It seems crazy that a young gay doesn´t know about AIDS but it really isn´t. It shows what a great job gays and the lackey medical community are determined to keep a lid on it.

Just last week a UN report came out about gay men in Greece getting infected on purpose for welfare and the left blew a gasket. All Limbaugh did was read the news story and he got raked over the coals by someone at Slate.

Even if you did do a quarantine on HIV positive men, their buddies would slip in when nobody´s looking.Gays are excessively promiscuous. One of their favorite things to do is meet a stranger at a rest stop somewhere.

And why is it people walk around at a rest stop?
