Obama is no longer so invincible
Washington Examiner, by Noemie Emery

President Obama is concerned these days with the "young invincibles," the 20-somethings he needs now to buy into his program, but who probably won´t because they feel (you guessed it) invincible and think they will stay so for quite a long time. But it takes one to know one, as the irony is Obama himself is, or once was, an ultra-invincible, unstoppable and doing what people said couldn´t be done. Could he become world famous on the strength of one speech? Yes, he could. Could he beat Hillary Clinton, a president´s wife and a feminist icon? Yes, he could. Could he

I wish I could believe that. 0bama will carry on as if he´s a dictator until he is stopped, by whatever means.

Well, not all these "young invincibles" are going to stay Obama supporters. Some of these kids worked hard in college, earned pricey degrees and after two years of no job prospects, student loan payments and having to move back in with the folks, the Obama magic is wearing mighty thin.

While looking at the cartoon on the home page -poison pill - the logo for Obama´s campaign is there on one side of the capsule - it occurs to me that the red and white stripes at the bottom of the logo looked like downturned, unhappy expressions . . . reflecting an increasingly higher PMI(personal misery index).

When you hear a college age kid saying their main goal in life is helping the environment, they are a lost cause person. The other tag line is I want to make a difference. These are abstract concepts that lasso people into being permanent liberals,no matter how bad their stake in life gets.

Economics professors probably teach kids how to get a government grant rather than how private capitalization works.

The Battered American is no longer going to take back the contrite "I´ll never do it again" Battering Husband. He has indeed demonstrated that he cannot be trusted with our trust. Once you lose the trust, it´s gone. It is not as though Obama is the kind of POTUS who will actually apologize, say "I was wrong", and demand the law be repealed.

So, absent his total capitulation and repentance, anyone who believes anything he promises is the equivalent of a battered wife with an IQ in single digits.

I am in agreement with the premise that Obama is no longer invincible. However, I do believe he is still extremely dangerous. With an ego like his, there is no way he is going to give up on his efforts to fundamentally transform this country unless he is forced to do so. It is obvious that people are upset and don´t trust him, but how do we proceed from here? We need some real leadership from the Republican Party to come forth with viable workable solutions to the chaos this president has created. Don´t wait for the democrats to finally realize Obama is toxic and then someone like Hillary will emerge to "fix it". We need good solid conservative leaders to point the way out of this nightmare.

However, never forget that the msm is like the government beauraquency; not held accountable, not elected, always liberal and willing to do ANYTHING to keep a progressive in power. They will no more leave Obama, in the long run, than a conservative mother would leave their child on a battle field. They have no other choice in the matter.

It is hard to look even mildly competent with a corrupt msm against you. They can make even the most incompetent, anti-American, narcissist, liar look like a winner, if he is one of their´s. We need to keep praying.

Can´t you see it coming? The failure of the ACA will be blamed on the evil insurance companies who priced their policies too high with too large deductibles. Obama is just an innocent victim who tried hard and meant well. The first effort will be to force the insurance companies to lower their prices and deductibles but since that will cause them to lose money they´ll just quit. With the insurance companies out of the picture only the federal government can save the day by taking their place. Obama rushes in to save the day. Hello, single payer, nationalized, socialized medicine and Obama is the hero.

Obama is a magician. With one hand he claims he MUST have "20-somethings" for the program to work, even though they typically make very little. With the other hand he has millions of more affluent people´s policies cancelled forcing them into the system. Call me crazy, but it seems to me that the latter will be the ones who finance his Marxist boondoggle.

If you ain´t got the dough, then you´re a no show. First off Middle income people are smart enough to arrange their taxes so there are no refunds, so no IRS penalties can be collected when you reach the penalty stage for not signing up. The underground market is going to thrive and Illegal criminals don´t pay taxes. Oh well, they get free medical services anyway.

How many bright people do you think will now go through all those steps it takes to become a Doctor. You would be surprised how many people in San Diego go to Mexico for dental work. Its cheap and they have someone meet you at the border and drive you to the Dentist. A lot of the Dentists are Americans.

I wonder how many Doctors will become Expats.

What # 19 said. And to add to # 17...Voting regulations need to be changed...you have to show a copy of filed/paid income taxes to be able to vote. If you don´t pay taxes, you don´t get to vote. That´s why founding fathers put in property ownership as a requirement. These people had *skin in the game* as 0 loves to say. But today many people live in apts, but still pay taxes. This would remove the welfare queens from being able to vote themselves more of our money

Not every citizen makes enough money to pay taxes. The only true text of citizenship is a valid social security card. With computers and scanners - just like credit cards - the technology exists to convert all social security registrants into a national credit card LIKE system of national IDs.

I realize this sounds 666ish. But come on - there is no way to guard our country without some type of legitimate registration and monitoring system.

This would then protect our voting system. It would prevent identity theft and give merchants a way to double check credit card authenticity.

What is wrong with this idea?

Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure

Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) is among the Democrats pressing Congress to take up immigration reform. On Tuesday, he told a conference call that deportations are breaking families apart and leaving children in foster care. "So the human toll has been horrific. This president, by implementation of existing law, has been forced to deport a huge number of Americans." Although Garcia may consider the deportees to be "Americans," legally they are not. But they might become citizens if Garcia and other immigration advocates get their way. Democrats are urging Republicans to sign their discharge petition, which would force a House vote on

Thank God for Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George. His investigation of what turned out to be the IRS abuse scandal may well have saved the Constitution and the nation. For his fair and impartial investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s abuse of Americans who dissent from President Obama’s agenda, Democrats have called for an investigation of him. George should not be investigated, but perhaps the Democrats who want him investigated — Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA) — should be. Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
